- I put the frame up on blocks just to see if gravity would straighten out the 'hogging' - the bow and stern have sagged, which is exactly what we DON'T want - but I see some other issues there as well.
I'm going to take some photos and detailed notes , then dis-assemble her and put the pieces aside for now.
I'll get back to her once I've done some other projects.

....it can be a curse at times.
I saw a fantastic video, eons ago, of a builder in the woods, who would steam the wood for his boats. I can see if I can dig it up, if you like. Enjoy the day!
Thank you - I'm always interested to see how others do their work as it's always worthwhile to learn some fresh ideas. (I've been steaming wood for years, though)

@@robertmacdonaldbespokekilt3063 I just took a quick gander, and this may take some time! Already saw two versions without a steam box, one using plastic bags, and the other looked like direct application of hot water.
I've an idea where I may have saved it, but it may take a week to find. He is just a great craftsman, like you, so I think you'll like it. I'll be in touch. Keep up the beautiful work. Cheers!

I'm imagining the epic journey by oar and sail from Vancouver (on the Pacific Coast) up the Fraser River, portage over the Rockies to the St Lawrence watershed to the Atlantic, across the Atlantic to Scotland....FECK it, let's do it - it'll be EPIC!
So, once you take her apart, perhaps setting up a steam area, to straighten out the "hogging" might work?
I could do that - but given the low quality of the wood it's really not worth the time and effort.
