    Bravo to the father and mother for the fine education that they have given their lads. The pond is really very natural, love the rock formation and plants. Well done.

    One thing I have seen in many aquascape videos and other expert videos is that the put a flap of liner or underlayment in front of the aquablox to prevent the water from coming down too quickly and to force the water to enter from the top of the aquablox.

      How is the hot tub project going?

    • @elementl1166
      @elementl1166 3 года назад +2

      It’s going well - thanks for asking. Framing is done, insulation is in, plumbing installed and glued, lighting in and I should hopefully finish all the interior plywood tomorrow. I intend to skirt the outside with the cedar tone boards afterwards and then turn my attention to the pond. We had a pond around 2/3 size as yours that we filled in earlier this spring to justify this hot tub space wise. I’ll be replacing it with a smaller pond adjacent to the hot tub. We have the fish away to a new home (had them nearly 20 years!) and many of the plants have been sitting in a temp container and quickly overgrowing it so it’s time to get the pond in. I have backerboard for hot tub ready to go however. We picked out tile and just need to go get it. Wish we could speed it all up but lots of competing priorities timewise!

    • @Red.Scapes
      @Red.Scapes  Год назад

      Thank you for watching!
      The pond is 4 foot deep so no protection is needed from animals. Also waterfalls keep running during the winter when it's not super cold so the water circulates to help with bad bacteria (and we don't feed the fish at all in thre winter and that helps too). Of course, there is a bit of alge build-up during winter months, but that all goes away in the spring.

    I love this, just one question, where does your feed pipe for the wetland filter enter the wetland? I does it just feed into the white pvc pipe at the bottom through the rocks and shingle? Or does it go down your snorkel? Thanks.
