Father. After 8 years in Catholic School in the 70's I heard none of this😢 It was only 5 years ago that thru the mercy of God I was led to the TLM. Listening to like minded priests has taught me more than 50 years of luke warm, "Church of Nice" has. God help us 🙏

There were some visitors at our parish one Sunday, with a newborn and a toddler about 18 months old. They sat as near the front as possible, and the tot was intensely interested in the entire Mass. He even anticipated different parts, and as it came closer to the Liturgy of the Eucharist, the tot grew more and more excited. At the Prayer Over the Offerings he actively stared up at the ceiling of the Sanctuary (it's domed), and continued staring in that direction during the Eucharistic Prayer. And when Father began the Second Consecration, the kid went nuts, laughing and babbling up toward the heavens, raising his little hands and waving them at the sky. I've never seen a more joyful baby. He gurgled and cooed all the way up until Father consumed the Precious Blood, and then he just went flat. After that he acted like a normal toddler. I never pay attention to the people in the pews, not even babies, but I have no doubt the Holy Spirit kept drawing my attention to this particular toddler to witness his witness. His eyes were focused and tracking movement that nobody else could see. I spoke with his parents after, and they said he always does that, so they sit as near the altar as they can get him. I'm so blessed to have been part of that. (This refers to the slide and commentary at about 48:00).

Good for the baby, he's really lucky. He is an innocent child. I think for the rest of us we are supposed to keep our head down for the Canon.

I started to listen to this yesterday morning and immediately checked to see if I could buy The Way of Divine Love once it was mentioned. It's nowhere to be bought except for a few very expensive used copies on Amazon. A few times I checked different sites and then stopped, knowing if I was meant to read it I just had to trust that Jesus would show me where to find it. I spoke to no one of this and went about my day and tasks. 3 hours later I was literally holding a 1981 copy of the original in my hands. Thank you dear Jesus for such a beautiful Easter miracle and gift.

Should I stop praying the Rosary and other (Catholic) prayers until I become Catholic? And stop saying amen when I am around Catholics? I do not want to displease God. I have been practicing the things you have been teaching and loving my life as if I were a good Catholic so when I am baptized and confirmed, I am not thrown off and lazy and in the practice of good habits. I only recently found out about Catholics not participating in worship and prayer with non-Catholics and vice versa. Thank you for all you do!

I got to my first confession today, watching this video for my full examination of consciousness and I am so terrified. I’m scared of not doing it right, and my priest won’t baptize me since I was baptized as a child and I’m so confused with the whole Vatican ll things that were changed, where I am not satisfied since I don’t know 100% if it was don’t properly in the old right. I don’t know how to pray.

    • @christopherclack3984
      @christopherclack3984 3 года назад +3

One thing at a time. You’ve already been baptized and your priest won’t baptize you again which is actually very good since it means it is valid. Focus for now only on doing the best you can in confession and you will get better with practice! Don’t overwhelm yourself but instead, like in Jesus’ seeds parable, give the seeds fertile soil and then give them time to grow. God love you!

    • @CatholicK5357
      @CatholicK5357 2 года назад +1

God would not hold the baptism thing against you since you desire baptism. In other words we cannot be held accountable for things that are beyond our control. One can only be baptized once, so that is likely the reason why he won't baptize you if it was done validly. It is not always possible to know 100%, but as long as there is no sufficient reason to doubt then it should be fine. In either case that would be the Priest's decision rather than yours.
As for Vatican II issues don't trouble yourself about that if it causes you scrupulosity. Just remember that the true faith is what has always been taught - and this can be verified in places such as the Catechism of the Council of Trent. In other words, nothing should contradict that catechism. Fulfill your duties as a Catholic such as going to Mass and saying your prayers. Let the hierarchy sort out those other messes.

The CCC [CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH] references, 59:46, are the Vatican 2 document. So, its use demands extra care and also, explanation so as to avoid scandal. For example, the references chosen are "orthodox" and the Council of Trent could not anticipate all the modern sins [as explained re in vitro fertilization].

What about going to a non-Catholic's home for dinner. I say my Catholic grace, but then am asked to hold hands with others as the non-Catholic host leads us all in non-Catholic prayer before the meal. Am I to refuse to do so, and if so, how? Should I leave the room until they are done? Or do I just refuse to hold hands and tell them I cannot partake in prayer with them? I am sincerely trying to learn how to handle this situation as it happens with non-Catholic family members who I tend to see somewhat often. Thanks to anyone who can answer my question.

@Sensus Fidelium The Catholic Church heavily promotes the idea that The Magisterium, or the collective experience of two thousand years of popes, bishops, priests, monks, nuns, and other pious thinkers adds new value to what God reveals in the Bible. The Magesterium has softened their views somewhat, arguably since Vatican II. I appreciate anyone's devotion to God and the Holy Catholic Church. However, I'm wondering, of what value is it to teach pre-Vatican II Catechism? It seems like one can't play it both ways. One cannot say, "Obey the Magisterium", which has softened some of their views since Vatican II and then also say "Let's approach everything as if it is still 1959".

I’m a traditional Catholic and I was wondering the same thing. If this is an FSSP priest I’d be surprised because as part of the newly formed “Ecclesia Dei” Societies, among other such societies, they have signed an oath agreeing with the modernist “post conciliar Vatican 11” Church which is no longer Catholic, but Protestant in nature. This is an excellent treatise on confession, but certainly doesn’t pertain to the “Church” of today. Pope Francis would consider this Priest “very rigid”!

Then after an event occurred you feel empty inside. Why,. What is God doing to our minds inside? Are they to feel a grace or a disgrace? Do they make us feel at Home or all alone? Why does God perform Miracles at all, just to see if we are all still Alive.

Why do you say like that, my brother. Our blessed Lord promised His church, that He would be with us till the end of the world. Do you think he would permit His beloved church to fall in such grave mistake.

The same Christ who comes down during the Latin Mass is the same Christ who comes down for the Novus Ordo. I am by no means a modernist and I avoid the Novus Ordo as much as possible but to call it demonic is borderline heresy.

First of all, the latin mass was/is not the only form of the mass that is still considered catholic. Byzantine catholic churches have always had liturgy that would seem foreign "not catholic" to you according to your own words. In fact, the apparitions at Medjugorje, the mass here is closer to this (Byzantine) mass than the latin mass and are done in the vernacular (native language) of the region. I began to think of this "battle of the masses" that is causing so much hatred and division today and I realized this is one reason God chose to send His Blessed Mother to Medjugorje, to stop this hatred and division. I love the latin mass. I love the byzantine mass. I love the mass in spanish, greek, arabic or any language it is said in. Praise God in all your ways. Love one another.

Oh, so my aunt's parents not showing up for her wedding to my uncle was understandable, they were devout Catholics who wanted their daughter to be married in a Catholic service with a nice Catholic boy not the Christian boy down the street who threw rocks up at her window at odd hours of the night only to talk about their future and life.

Orange and black go well together - that is a reason why many love Halloween. Soo pretty. But seeing beyond the visuals, to the bloody horror torture festivals oft portrayed in popular commercial culture, and the money behind that culture, it is important not to be seduced by satanic teachings.
If you think about it, some women are like that - pretty as a picture on the outside, but they can seriously mess you up. See movie, Rewrite (Hugh Grant).

If they got a dispensation you can go. A catholic can marry a non catholic in a service with the proper approval of the church and if the latter promises to raise the kids as catholic etc. But they can't receive the Sacrament of Matrimony as it is only for two baptised Catholics.

The Priest usually does not. If you, however, go to confess just to confess without perfect contrition/actual repentance don't think that it will be forgiven even if the Priest says it is.

Virgin Mary: Embrace the Gift of the Grace of Immunity children. Cherish it for it is a rare Gift from Heaven.
    Saturday Aug 25, 2012 at 12:00 pm
My child Heaven rejoices. The Choirs of Angels are singing at the top of their voices in praise of my Father.
His Glorious Mercy, bestowed by Him, through the special Grace of Immunity, is being acclaimed with great love and joy by all the angels and saints in Heaven.
My children do not, as yet, understand the significance of this great Gift of Mercy by The Father, God the Most High.
You, my children, now have the power to save the others, the lost souls.
This means that the power of the evil one can be conquered in a way, which was not possible up to now.
The lies, the deceit and the hatred which the evil one plants in the
minds of God’s children can be rendered useless if the prayers given to
those who love my Son are presented before the Throne of my Father.
Embrace the Gift of the Grace of Immunity children.
Cherish it for it is a rare Gift from Heaven.
It proves to you the Love of your Father for each of His beloved children.
It is one of the great miracles, presented to all of God’s children in the end times.
Thank you for responding to my call.
    Mary, Queen of Heaven.
    Mother of Salvation

PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY AS IF YOUR ETERNAL “LIFE” DEPENDED ON IT
In the Book of Hebrews Chapter 10 in context the author was talking to “baptized” Christians (Hebrews 10:22) telling them to not be “neglecting to meet together” in “the Church” - being the ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH. Why “the Church”???
***Hebrews **10:26**-29 “For IF WE SIN DELIBERATELY after receiving knowledge of the truth, THERE NO LONGER REMAINS A SACRIFICE FOR SINS, BUT A FEARFUL PROSPECT OF JUDGMENT, AND A FURY OF FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES………..HOW MUCH MORE PUNISHMENT DO YOU THINK WILL BE DESERVED BY THE MAN WHO HAS SPURNED THE SON OF GOD, AND PROFANED THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT BY WHICH HE HAS SANCTIFIED, AND OUTRAGED THE SPIRIT OF GRACE”.***
What does Sacred Scriptures clearly say “IF WE SIN DELIBERATELY” or willfully break any of the commandments whether the old (10 Commandments) or NEW (Laws of LOVE or refusing to LOVE as Christ commands per John 13:34)??? If “THERE NO LONGER REMAINS A SACRIFICE FOR SINS, BUT A FEARFUL PROSPECT OF JUDGMENT”, then how does one obtain reconciliation with GOD again???
We must examine the old covenant to fully understand the NEW COVENANT. In Leviticus 5:5-6 and Numbers 5:5-9 we can understand what an old covenant Jew had to do to receive GOD's forgiveness. Additionally, GOD in the Books of Leviticus and Numbers any time personal “sin” is mentioned you will read over and over again “THUS THE PRIEST SHALL MAKE ATONEMENT FOR A MAN’S SINS AND IT WILL BE FORGIVEN” (Lev 4:20, 4:26, 4:31,4:35, 5:6, 5:10, 5:13, 5:16, 5:18, 6:7, 7:7, 12:8, 14:18, 14:19, 14:20, 14:29, 14:31, 15:15, 15:30, 16:32, 16:33, 19:22 Num. 6:11,15:25, and 15:28). In the old covenant, GOD uses ordained “men”, the Leviticus Priesthood, to administer His forgiveness.
Now, does GOD keep His WORD and covenant promises??? GOD promises to have a perpetual priesthood per His covenant in Numbers 25:12-13 and Malachi 2:4-7 and has WORDS of “forever” in Exodus 29:7-9, 40:15, and 1 Chronicles 23:13. Then, GOD promises to have a perpetual priesthood in Jeremiah 33:14-22 NEW COVENANT PROPHECY. Additionally, in context of “gathering the nations” in Isaiah 66:18 GOD states in Isaiah 66:21 “some of them also I will take for priests” meaning no longer based on Levi tribal lineage in the NEW COVENANT. In John Chapter 13, we see Jesus Christ fulfilling His Father’s Levi Covenant promise and Malachi 3:3 prophecy, when He sits down in the upper room “purifying” the NEW COVENANT PRIESTHOOD with a “washing”. This “washing” was a “forever” priestly liturgical GOD command in Exodus 30:21 in order to perform any altar work or sacrifice.
What “same” power does the Son of GOD give to His ONE and ONLY established Church or “the Church” per Matthew 16:19, 18:18 and specifically explained to the NEW COVENANT PRIESTHOOD by Jesus in John 20:21-23??? In 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 St. Paul describes what Jesus Christ did was He “GAVE US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION” and concluded “SO WE ARE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST”. An “ambassador” wields what kind of power as an “official representative” of Christ or more specifically explained in “the Church” as “persona Christi”???
Please come to your real home and be “reconciled” to “the Church” HIS ONE BODY (Ephesians 4:4-6). What did Jesus Christ create, pray for in John 17:21-23 and die for??? If you really LOVE Jesus Christ, then you will respond to His prayer and join the “ONENESS” that He created. The “Lamb of GOD” wants to unite with you in the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19) in His ONE and ONLY established Church, so we all can be “perfectly ONE”. May GOD richly bless you on your journey.

I do not blame him. Plenty of the most credible people lie sometimes and then even more credible people believe it and pass it on. We are told by some of the Church fathers to be suspicious of present-day miracles, so it is hardly unreasonable to scrutinize such tales. But it is also uncatholic to not believe immediately either. Suspicion does not equate to disbelief.
