Thanks for taking me along on your drive this morning. I really enjoyed myself. Almost fell off the couch when I thought you hit a moose. So much beauty in one state.
You know I will re-watch my videos just to take notes on what and what not to do the next time, and I know that moose hit scene is coming up and it STILL makes me jump. When I drive out here, I stare left and right constantly and only look at the road when there is an oncoming vehicle. I've had some close calls but nothing like that! No hits. I think Alaskans should be allowed to get some MAD MAX cages on the front windshields! 🤣 I'm glad you enjoyed the drive Christina!
Great place to catch salmon when they are on their way to the spooning (sp), grounds. You did say that you have learned to fish, fishing for salmon in Alaska is another lesson in fishing from what I have seen. Great ride, loved the scenery snow and mountain views. Thanks for sharing.
Casting is the same but the rigging is something I will need to learn from scratch. But I will figure it out for sure! Absolutely love to fish! I wont be dip netting though. I have been to Valdez many times after this trip and the town is absolutely amazing! Well it is when it isn't filled with fisher "people" 😁
Someone taught me (on RUclips) to act like you are talking to someone in the room. Hang a picture of someone you don't even know on your camera to give it a face to talk to instead of a camera. I never went so far as to get a picture of someone I don't know but I am slowly getting used to camera talk. If you only could see how many takes I film sometimes though! In an older video, maybe the first aid video, I counted 40 takes! LOL! :-)
So glad you enjoyed the video John! Valdez is definitely a place everyone should visit if coming to Alaska! Episode 24 is where I really lost it a bit! Lost a few subscribers too! LOL! Thank you so much John! 🧡🤗💚
Well thank you kindly! I have been drawn to this lifestyle for many years! No illusions as to how tough it would be! And that just made me want to do it even more. 😁 Once my kids moved out, I was heading to Alaska! I did tell them though! 🤣 Girl power! 😉

LOL thank you Ron! No show since Carol Burnett has ever reached that level of funny! You had to be careful not to be drinking or eating during her show! I think a show called Dorf and Dork would have been very popular! 🤣
I do love going to Valdez. Probably would not if it was bigger and had a Walmart though! I enjoy the town because it is still small and very beautiful! And the drive to Valdez is breathtaking! 🤗🧡
I am fascinated with clouds! I love cloudy days! Or watching them roll over or around mountains. I could watch that for hours. Just don't try it while driving!! 😁
LOL! Yeah me too and I know exactly when it is coming up! And that is exactly how it happens. 2000 lbs of animal hitting your windshield is never a good ending for either. When I drive, I always watch the sides of the road (both sides) more than I do the center! 😲😉
Super awesome that she went on a road trip to give a subscriber a look at the town they were interested in. I can't say too many people would do that for someone they've never met.
Hello Carly! I really enjoyed that road trip too. Next time I will stick around town and walk around some or eat. Valdez is gorgeous! It did help him have a good look at the town and he may actually move there eventually! I wouldn't have gone if he wanted to see Barrow AK though! LOL Thank you so much Carly! :-)
Thoroughly enjoyed this video! The drive to Valdez is gorgeous. That moose got me. Whew! Alaska is truly the most beautiful place on earth. Stay safe and warm. Spring is on its way. You've not only survived the winter, you have thrived in that environment. 😁
So glad you enjoyed the road trip! It really was a gorgeous drive but I was not expecting that much snow to be there! Spring is here and everything is melting! My first winter wasn’t too bad even with a chimney fire and a leaky roof! 🤣 They say the four seasons in Alaska are Winter, June, July and August so I have a limited amount of time to get a lot done! And I plan to film it all! Thank you for watching and commenting! 😁
@@AloneinRemoteAlaskaI lived most of the nineties in Maine, both on an inland town and on an island. I found the colder temperatures inland, with quite a bit of snow but significantly warmer temps on the island with even more snow. Warmer = much more snow, I think; somewhat less snow inland because of the colder temps. just a theory... what do you think?
I would have thought it’d be the other way around. Maybe just warm winds around the island and inland just stays a refrigerator! Well that’s my theory anyway. I know that here, the more snow the colder but I am really far inland! LOL! And surrounded by trees. :-)
Dorf, Tim Conway, now there's an act I haven't thought about in many many years. Thanks for jogging my memory. Hope you didn't twist your knee getting out. I know I have.
Hey Rick! You should come back! There seems to be plenty of room in Alaska for ya! 🤣 I really do love it here and wish I would have moved here sooner! 😁I hope you make it back someday!
WOW-wEEEE! What a trip! So Much SNOW!!⛄ Breathtaking views, I caught myself not breathing (I literally gasped when your leg went wAy deep in) and shaking my head... Wow-weee! Eye opener for sure! Thanks! 💙 "Dorf & Dork" too fun!!! Humor always helps!
I think Valdez gets more snow than most of Alaska! (Obviously) 🤣 But the drive there was incredible! I want to make the drive again in summer. We call it "post holing" when your foot breaks through the icy top and sinks almost to the ground. It can be annoying 😁 I always try to put some humor in my videos! Thank you Teri! 😁
I live here! This has been out dream place to live and raise your little family. To answer the most common question I saw in the comments, the snow will melt around the end of may. The giant piles in the park strips won't melt fully until june. But even with all the snow, we love it here. You're tour was great!
Hey someone from Valdez!! So cool! Two to three more months before its all melted!! 😳 That’s crazy! So some quick additions questions if you don’t mind. Can the city plow snow into the bay? And be honest, was that IKEA??🤣 I have to visit during summer though. Such an awesome little town! You are lucky to be living there! Thank you so much for watching and commenting Mary! 😁
@@AloneinRemoteAlaska I believe they either thought about it or used to plow it into the bay but there were environmental concerns about potential trash going in the ocean. Instead we have giant lots owned by the city (the one where you turned around is one) where they pile the snow. In the summer there's a kids park under there 😂 And the building is not an Ikea 😂 I wish. It's owned by the museum and it's an exhibit devolted to Old Valdez that got destroyed by the tsunami from the 1964 earthquake.
Totally makes sense about the trash! Sounds like they have a good process anyway. I will be checking out that museum next trip! Thank you for answering Mary! :-)
Lol haven a little hard time standing on that salty snow, beautiful place and the rambling makes the video it's always great seeing your video's. Have a great week until next time.
Thank you Rodney! Funny part of that video was I could feel the snow giving way and I was trying to keep talking like nothing was happening! Guess not! 🤣 I'll be back next Thursday! You take care! 😁
Valdez does get the snow! I was up in Talkeetna shooting video the other day and the snow is way deep! 7' snow pack. Most came in the last month but melting fast! Break up is here! Prepare for mud season ;)
Some of us have bathroom bags under our 4x4 front seats. ( shovel, toilet paper, matches, hand wipes). Find a bush, dig a hole, use said hole, burn toilet paper ( be careful not to set bush on fire. Make sure all toilet paper is burnt, fill in hole). Take baby wipes back to car. Put into sealed plastic bag and dispose in campfire. They are not biodegradable. Welcome to Australia where there can be 100s kms between gas stations if any at all. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
LOL I do have all of those things in my vehicle! Learned all that from camping all the time. But getting used to the distance between gas stations is a new one for me! LOL! :-)
Thank you for the road trip and I really enjoy your videos. I live in NV no lottery here in this state, however casinos every where and I do not gamble. Stay safe.
Looky looky 🤓 you have 10K subscribers 😁 Carry a gas can full, too & always have an emergency kit. I use a big popcorn can with energy bars, a jar of PB, big candle, cans of precooked food & opener, hand warmers, water bottles, matches plus blanket and foil blanket. Stay with your car. Also if you have a flare gun, and emergency markers or pylons. Extra warm clothing and boots, too. I always take an overnight type bag in case I have to stay somewhere.
I do have all of those things in my vehicle. Its more or less mandatory out here even in winter. The good thing is most will not just drive by if you are stranded. And someone said it is state law that you must stop to help. Having some food and water, some source of heat, first aid and protection should be in everyone's vehicle at all times! :-)
I have never seen anything so beautiful than this, the scenery is so serene and breathtaking with all the white mountains. It is so educational and new for me. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful video.❤
It’s amazing isn’t it! I came from Colorado and Colorado has beautiful mountains but Alaska is like Colorado on steroids! Everywhere I turn I see beautiful scenery. And Valdez is as good as it gets it Alaska! Thank you so much Johanna! :-)
Little different huh? 🤣🤣 LOL Yeah that moose crash always surprises me too! And Ive watched it at least two dozen times! Glad I was able to find a video of it! Very glad you enjoyed the trip! More to come! 😁
Hello Alone, everything about your channel is smart, creative and beautiful. You are one clever lady. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. Love from Sydney Australia. ♥️

It's obvious that it takes an extraordinary amount of time to add the special things that you put in them... you are to be congratulated for the imagination, artistry, and creativity you employ in making them. WOW! Thank you kindly! I do probably work on my videos too much maybe. I will spend the entire week (after my Thursday upload) to work on the next video. And also try to get something out to everyone on Sunday as well (more non VLOG type or shorts or community post) And Thank you so much for all the compliments! :-) BLUSHING
A beautiful drive to a beautiful town! Well more so when there isn't 20 ft of snow piled everywhere! LOL! So happy you enjoyed it! Thank you so much Laura! :-)
I loved visiting Valdez - it was all about the silvers, there was so many. Its burned into my conscience, so many they were pushing each other out of the stream. The scenery is spectacular - Valdez may be the reason a have planed to go back, not sure where yet. But I'm looking and the time is close. Thanks for the inspiration !
Hey Big T! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods! Always nice to hear from you! 😉 Spring break up is great until it turns everything to mud and the mosquitoes attack! But its worth it!! Glad you enjoyed the road trip! Take care Big T 😁
Thank you very Much!!! miss alone..it,s been a very rough winter on a personal level and the last couple of weeks has been worse but you made it much brighter with this video..thank you!! Spring 2023 is it and it looks like valdez and North of there is my spot...again thank you.. hug if it,s allowed.
Comment hugs are absolutely allowed! 😉 I am glad you enjoyed the video twobears! Valdez is literally only 10 blocks (?) but what an awesome little town! And has a port! Heck you can go anywhere in Alaska from Valdez! But they don't have an IKEA so consider your move very carefully! 🤣
@@AloneinRemoteAlaska Ikea..haha!! No worrys i,Il! just build my own furniture like I always have. I,ve seen valdez on satellite photos and noticed how small it is.i saw where the population is around 4000 people. I have to ask was alcohol involved in the last few minutes when you was stuck in the snow?? Or was being alone to long the cause of it.. Hehe
Population 4000?? Are you sure about that? Valdez looked like it was 10 blocks! But it was hard to tell with all that snow 🤣 LOL no alcohol or loneliness! Being a dork though? Oh yeah!
@@AloneinRemoteAlaska I just checked again..the web says 3900. Give or take a handful living in valdez currently. There's nothing wrong with being a dork and it sure was funny..thanks for the trip and the laughs at the end.
We were heading south and a semi was heading north, we were close to passing each other and a huge moose ran across and we barely missed it! My husband and I drove from Fairbanks to Valdez. So stunning!
That would have been very bad for the moose but also two vehicles! These moose out here are on steroids or something! They can cause some serious damage! So glad nothing happened! :-)
Yeah I can totally see that! Valdez is worth visiting and you could easily spend your entire visit in that small town. That’s real Alaska there! Thank you so much! :-)
Have you ever been to chitina? We were look at a round log house plus 4 cabins on 5 acres. But like you said we could not get a realtor to go and take new pictures of the property.
Ahhh thank you Moose! I really do appreciate the compliments! And yes men do have that advantage. They can pretend to be looking through binoculars at the same time if they want 🤣 Us gals just have to be quicker at it! I was not expecting to see so much snow in Valdez! I was shocked! 😳 Thank you so much Moose! Take care! 😁
Oh yeah! I have heard from a lot of people who had left and want to get back. It's such a beautiful state! I know to some its just a place to live but I have been dreaming about living here for so long, I STILL cant believe I am here! I hope you make it back! 😁
Yup I can see that! Been through Wyoming a couple times. Kind of changes the no rest stop thing if there isn’t a lot of vegetation or trees around 🤣 Glad you enjoyed the road trip Sarah! 😁
Love your videos! It's beautiful in Alaska just from what you have shown us. I will probably never get there. I think you are very brave living off grid as you are doing. I'm from Minnesota and for the most part quite content living in a small German town. Good luck on your new home and keep your videos coming!!
I think a small German town would be awesome actually. I had started this journey thinking about the smallest towns I could live in and then it went to how far away I could live from a small town! To me this life is awesome but it’s definitely not for everyone. You should at least visit Alaska! You will love it! :-) Thank you so much Lois! :-)
I was going to stop and take some video of me next to one of the mounds but Kenai refused to hold the camera! I’d say you are correct though! At least 20 ft! 😁
I only drove that road once during winter, and it was during a blizzard, so I did not see any of the snow covered mountains as I could hardly see the road. Great Video! Oh, and yes, Valdez averages over 300 inches of snowfall per year.
It really was a beautiful drive but probably not so much during a blizzard! 🤣 White knuckle, stare at the road kind of drive! It looked like Valdez had all 300 inches there! 😁
Hello from arizona. Beautiful country. And great info on the animals. Ppl get so side tracked with cell phones or the radio or even with each other that they don't pay attention to driving
Yeah with all the moose crossing roads here, I am always scanning each side of the road! I like having no noise in the vehicle sometimes so I can hear if my vehicle is making any sounds. :-)
Enjoyed the drive to Valdez tonight! Those mountains are so much like our Canadian Rockies. I lived in Yellowknife, NWT and there's a spirit in the north that's so genuinely beautiful and indescribable. I always packed extra gas because help could be hours away. Another back up plan! Geez, I spilled my coffee though, in that moose crash ... lol 💥💥 take care
LOL yeah that moose crash was CRAZY! Puts it all in perspective when you see a video of it! I always carry extra gas with me too! ALWAYS!! 😁 ANd you said it perfectly! “Genuinely beautiful and indescribable”😁 Thank you Brenda!
Great video...I have been around the world and Alaska is my last stop on my bucket list and i hope to get there to visit sometime within the next 5-6 years :). Save the best for last, looks beautiful!
Alaska is the best! It truly is an amazing state! Bring lots of film, SD cards and binoculars! Or just soak in the views! A trip you will never forget! Don't worry though! In 5-6 years it will look exactly the same 🤣 Thank you Geoff!!
Valdez is one my favorite ( among a long list) of places to visit. We go there a lot, took the ferry from Whittier a few times, just for fun, and then drove back. My brother lives there, and my son works at the pipeline terminal there at the end of Dayville Rd. It’s a great little road trip and nice escape from everyday scenery. Glad to see you out & about exploring. Have a blessed week.
I definitely want to return when its not so covered in snow. I bet it would be fun to just be 🎶"sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away" 🎶 I can't believe I just did that 🙄Sorry LOL I did enjoy the drive though! Just cant beat that scenery! Hope you two (and Maty) get to do some hiking soon! You two take care!
@@YanksandBritsProductions yep and I wish I knew alot more about work from home Jobs but it seems that info is loaded with scammers so I never pursued it. I work from home now but as a sawmiller and woodworker. .
@@twobears1224 Good jobs? Probably but they probably have lists of people lined up there. Housing could be an issue since its so small of a town. Probably best further out of town? I know when I was looking for my property, places there were expensive and sold quickly!
Absolutely jaw dropping!! I wasin the mountains of N. Carolina and they are gorgeous. These mountains make those look small. So what do you do if you break down on the highway? How do you get help? May I ask that you find a longer stream of background music or change it to another channel? I turned off the sound after awhile because they stream was so annoying. Sorry.
Ahh thank you so much Dorthe! It is always so beautiful here but also very dangerous. A 2000 lb moose hitting your vehicle is always bad for all involved. Forces you to pay attention when you drive! 🧡
You mentioned you wanted to get a plow for your explorer in a previous video. You should definitely get a snowblower as well. The snowblower will get it away from your driveway. Imagine if you get as much snow as you see there. Your plow would have no chance of pushing the snow mounds back.
I will be getting a snow blower for sure! One with the tank tracks! I do not think I will get a plow put on my current vehicle though. It was not made for a plow and the modifications that would be needed are a bit costly. But I am looking into getting a tractor so I can push the snow and pile it in other places if needed. Thank you Lisa! :-)
Moose signs are all over Northeastern Ontario Canada, my nextdoor neighbor hit one a died about 5 years ago. Also there is a 'Protected' herd of 'White Moose', a rarity in moose types, about 60 miles west of me in Folyet Ontario.
ooooo white moose!? I have never seen one! So sorry to hear about your neighbor though! It's 2 tons of animal hitting your vehicle. It never ends well. Thank you so much Frederick! 🧡
Wow! Valdez is sure pretty this time of year! The family and me are only there for the pink salmon runs. Nice to see it covered in snow. (GLAD I don't get that much tho or wet and heavy either!!) Great video as always Ms Alone! Lol I love the bonus clips 😅
Next salmon run, please drop off two trash bags worth of salmon at a designated area so I can pick up please? I promise to return the bags 🤔Don't roll your eyes Josh 🙄 LOL glad you enjoyed the video! And my silly bonus clips! 😁
I remember my first postholing experience in Alaska. First one leg. Then the other when I tried to get out (like you did). I managed to get onto my side and roll and crawl my way back to firm ground.
Yes there is nothing more graceful than trying to get out of a snow posthole! Especially with both legs stuck! Roll and Crawl 🤣 I will remember the procedure the next time I get stuck! 😁
Plan on taking the ferry from Whittier to Valdez at the end of the summer and driving back. I think the Moose kill in the MatSu includes ones hit by trains, but that only applies to where the train runs. Did you see those signs on the Richardson hwy? Moose are very hard to see in the dark, as impossible, they show up just as you blast pass them. Still lots of snow I see. We have brown every here. Melting fast. How much was gas in Valdez ? I keep my tank topped off all the time. Some places on the map look like a town but may just be a post office and a few homes, no gas! I always fill up when I can ,especially in Canada.
Never thought about the trains. That’s a definite end for the moose! I saw the signs on the Parks hwy heading to Denali. One or two other places as well. I try not to drive at night specifically for that reason. Scary enough during the day! I know the snow is melting on my property but there is so much of it, so I haven’t seen much dirt yet. Even of the plowed spots! 🤣 I always top off at the gas stations and carry extra gas. And yeah you are correct about some of these small towns. Drive too fast and you can pass an entire “town” and not even know it! 😁 The drive and the ferry between Whittier and Valdez will be very nice! Get video!!
Your area is definitely more restrictive than Oregon we get a lot of people down here from Alaska. What I noticed after leaving a big city is that the bank will have lunch hour the post office has lunch hour the pharmacy has lunch hour so there’s always an hour when you cannot go there. Also everything closes around 3 o’clock on Sunday and 6 o’clock on Saturday you definitely don’t have that in a big city. I don’t think we have anything 24 hour but I do think that the market and the Walgreen stays open until 10 or 12 PM but that’s all we have. In town. And oh my God thank you for the scenery this is incredible I’ve been to Alaska but I don’t remember anything like this!!! You are so strong !!!!!
Thanks for the road trip. Dorf, gotta love it. Tim Conway was definitely underrated as a comedic genius. Tok would be on the eastern side. Appreciate your insight on travel. Stay safe.
Tim Conway was indeed a comedic genius!! And he could do skits without laughing. But when he did laugh during a skit, that’s it!! Everyone is on the floor holding their gut gasping for air from laughing so hard! I have put Tok on the list! I want to go there for sure! Thank you Ashley!
Same here! I love Victorian, western and even 1950 type stuff. If I am not watching other channels on RUclips I find myself watching history or documentaries. Some comedy is ok but seems “lazy”. Music is mostly older country or classical. Back to Basics!! 😁
Alright, now listen. I'm about to pull up stakes here, trade in my Buckeye card and head north! My father was there in the late 1940s, and to the last day he was alive, he never, I mean - NEVER - stopped talking about Alaska. His plan was to return and live his life there, but he did the crazy thing where he fell in love, then they had kids and he was all tied down here in Ohio. Ahh well. I'll get there, someday! LOVE THIS CHANNEL!
HA! Get on up here! Alaska has plenty of room! I would have thought that Alaska would be bigfoot central! So I'm assuming once your dad got married, your mom said no way to Alaska? Your dad was right though! Once Alaska gets in your veins its hard to forget about! I for one, will never leave! Until then, I am glad you are joining me for this journey! I post a new video every Thursday! Stay tuned! :-) And thank you very much!
@@AloneinRemoteAlaska I'm sorry - I'm just NOW seeing your reply! As for Dad, my mother was far too fragile in a lot of different ways to move to Alaska. She had health issues and was afraid to be far from medical facilities, so that was the bigger thing. He actually was sent up there by the Marine Corps - He was part of a Marine Escort on some Naval Ships running things up to Point Barrow, Alaska. He wasn't happy to find out he got put on the first escort - but then he made sure he got on the next one when he heard about it. He always wanted to go back, but the Marines didn't send him there, and when he left the Corps there was a job already waiting for him in Ohio, and with kids and a wife, I think it was a simple choice for him. But I am getting to Alaska one day. Wow - the way he talked about it, you'd think it was a woman he loved and never forgot! Anyway - I'm enjoying your channel. I am definitely riding along on this journey!
Very informative video. Whenever I’ve traveled that stretch of road I always have to stop at the only pay phone that I’ve seen just about anywhere, it happens to be on that road.

Enjoying your videos !
Well thank you so much Kelly! I appreciate the view and the comment! 😁
you're a breath of fresh air.
Ahhh thank you! 😁😉
Dorf, Tim Conway, now there's an act I haven't thought about in many many years. Thanks for jogging my memory. Hope you didn't twist your knee getting out. I know I have.
Thanks for sharing. Sure, do miss Alaska!
Hey Rick! You should come back! There seems to be plenty of room in Alaska for ya! 🤣 I really do love it here and wish I would have moved here sooner! 😁I hope you make it back someday!
WOW-wEEEE! What a trip!
So
Much
SNOW!!⛄
Breathtaking views, I caught myself not breathing (I literally gasped when your leg went wAy deep in) and shaking my head... Wow-weee! Eye opener for sure!
Thanks! 💙
"Dorf & Dork" too fun!!!
In the summer there's a kids park under there 😂
And the building is not an Ikea 😂 I wish.
Wow, mountains are amazing, so much snow!
Thanks for sharing.
Yeah even I was a bit surprised by how much snow was there! And the scenery was amazing! Thank you Jacinthe!
Oh yeah! Lots of snow! Break up! Mud! Then the mosquitoes! 2-3 months of sun and then repeat! Isn't it awesome though!! 😁
LOL! :-)
Thank you Alone for another great video!
So glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much for commenting! 😁
Lol, "Not a pile of snow" That one got a laugh from me :p
Well you know I had to make sure right! 🤣They had some fairly large piles of snow there 😁 LOL
What amazing scenery! Love your choice of music!
Thank you for the road trip and I really enjoy your videos. I live in NV no lottery here in this state, however casinos every where and I do not gamble. Stay safe.
Thank you so much Kathy! I don't see a lot of homesteading channels in Nevada! I'm catching up with the rest of your comments! Sorry! :-)
Looky looky 🤓 you have 10K subscribers 😁
Carry a gas can full, too & always have an emergency kit.
Awesome video of the road trip. Looks a little different than Kentucky. Lol That moose crash scene was epic!
Little different huh? 🤣🤣 LOL Yeah that moose crash always surprises me too! And Ive watched it at least two dozen times! Glad I was able to find a video of it! Very glad you enjoyed the trip! More to come! 😁
Outstanding video. Breath taking country side. Loving the journey. Thank you. Remain well and strong. K
Thank you Kayt! I am so glad you enjoyed it! I will remain well and strong too! As long as I don't hit a moose! 🤣
Hello Alone, everything about your channel is smart, creative and beautiful. You are one clever lady. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. Love from Sydney Australia. ♥️
Well hello there Rhonda! It's so awesome to be hearing from Australia! Thank you so much for the views, comment and especially the compliments! It would be an honor to have you along for my journey here! :-)

What beautiful country. Love the mountains ❤️
The trip to Valdez is unique with the scenery! I love that drive! :-)
what a beautiful trip, enjoyed it thank you, God bless and greetings from the Netherlands😊
Your driving videos are great. I really enjoy the scenery. Thank you and God bless!
So happy you enjoy these videos! They do not appeal to everyone. Some have even asked for no music! 😁 Thank you so much! 🧡🤗💚

What an absolutely beautiful drive. I love it!!!
A beautiful drive to a beautiful town! Well more so when there isn't 20 ft of snow piled everywhere! LOL! So happy you enjoyed it! Thank you so much Laura! :-)
You live in a good spot from which to launch road trips. Down in Southeast we do boat trips..😁
Always great content.
Thanks SIS🙂
Hey William! I hope all is well with your mom! Glad to see you back in comments! 😁
Valdez is about as Alaska as you can get! Great scenery, great people and yes fantastic fishing! Alaska misses you! Thank you so much Richard!
your doing a great job with these vid thanks
Ahhh thank you Mike!I appreciate the view and the comment! 😁

Wow, Valdez is stunningly beautiful. Thanks for bringing us along! Love your videos.
Thank you so much Mary! Glad you could join the trip! I plan to do many more other places in Alaska! Hope you will stick around! 😁
Looking good girl. Valdez looks good too.
Ahhh thank you Ken! 😁
I spent a entire summer in Alaska and Valdez was my favorite town.
Love you and your channel, very well done. Men really have an advantage of being able to irrigate snow next to the truck. That was deep :)
Take care! 😁
I was in Valdez last March/April from Australia. Like your Moose when driving on on remote roads, you gotta watch them roos, kangaroos!
Fabulous and very informative thank you
You are very welcome! Thank you so much! 😁
Another great one 👍👍👍😃✌️🇺🇸
Thank you!! 😁
Moose in roads are NO joke. I almost planted into more than a few with my old motorcycle. That will get the heart pumping.
😳😳 On a motorcycle?? I think the moose walks away from that one? Unless you can duck between its legs! 🤣
Beautiful
Thank you Donna! If you ever make it to Alaska, Valdez is a great place to see the real Alaska! :-)
Was in Alaska years ago, love to get back. Cheers
Oh yeah! I have heard from a lot of people who had left and want to get back. It's such a beautiful state! I know to some its just a place to live but I have been dreaming about living here for so long, I STILL cant believe I am here! I hope you make it back! 😁
Valdez is beautiful! Thanks for taking us with you. What you were saying about driving in Alaska applies to Wyoming too.
Shooting B roll out the window reflecting off a dirty door that's skill right there folks!
That turned out way better than I expected! I assumed it would be wasted B-roll 😉I was pleasantly surprised! 😳
Hi Alone i certainly do understand and i do not blame you you keep that sidearm handy at all times, bye for now.
As always, thank you so much Jim! Until next week!! 😁
WOW the snow at the end of that street you turned around at had to be 20 feet high!!
I was going to stop and take some video of me next to one of the mounds but Kenai refused to hold the camera! I’d say you are correct though! At least 20 ft! 😁
That was an awesome ride along
Thank you so much for joining the road trip Tony!
I saw a few Sail Boat masts in the Marina.
Just about every kind of boat you can imagine there! Even some that don't look safe to be on!
@@AloneinRemoteAlaska awesome thank you for the great videos!!
@Alaska Pirates Well said! I 100% agree! 😁
The big question for a guy that wants to move to ak is there any good jobs in valdez?? And reasonable priced places to stay ??
Sorry.
I love your road trips - beautiful nature :) Poor mooses - so sad. Be careful
She needs a flame thrower to melt that snow.😂
Moose signs are all over Northeastern Ontario Canada, my nextdoor neighbor hit one a died about 5 years ago. Also there is a 'Protected' herd of 'White Moose', a rarity in moose types, about 60 miles west of me in Folyet Ontario.
ooooo white moose!? I have never seen one! So sorry to hear about your neighbor though! It's 2 tons of animal hitting your vehicle. It never ends well. Thank you so much Frederick! 🧡
Love your vids, keep them coming, stay safe ❤️and respect from the uk
Very nice to know there are viewers in the UK! Thank you so much! Many more videos planned! Thank you Adrian! 😁
@Alone in Remote Alaska Haha I'll see what I can do, but you can keep the bags lol 😅
I remember Valdez when the big oil spill happened. stay safe.
Soooooo pretty! Thank you!
That was a lot of snow in Valdez! I was shocked! A very beautiful drive to Valdez. May have been the most scenic drive yet! Thank you Julie! :-)
Get video!!
You did your homework!!
Oh I do a bunch of research on many things! Sometimes I get analysis paralysis! 🤭🧡

@@AloneinRemoteAlaska I must say I am drawn to things of the past. Things of the modern era ?? Comedy, music, really doesn't matter.

@@AloneinRemoteAlaska I'm sorry - I'm just NOW seeing your reply! As for Dad, my mother was far too fragile in a lot of different ways to move to Alaska. She had health issues and was afraid to be far from medical facilities, so that was the bigger thing.
