Why do all of you want to hit a fade all the time? Matt already cuts the ball most of the time, rick just switched to a fade, pete's new swing sees him hitting quite a few fades, and James is doing a drill with his irons to swing out to in more. I'm doing the exact opposite of all of you because when I swing out to in a little I don't make as good of contact or create as much lag as when I swing on or just in to out of plane.
I agree that the line of fade is much more easy to trust and control, but a push isn't that bad of a miss. Snap hook is comparable to a slice, neither of which you want. Also, it you play in the wind a lot like I do, a fade just can't always get it done because even if you keep it down a little it just climbs like crazy.
bill mccutcheon lol ya. Only on special days am I comfortable with that. Isn't it best to have an on plane swing and then just aim your feet and club face to create shape? That's what I'm working on now

Fade's are easier to control
Because it's easier to control and the Miss isn't as bad as a snap hook and long low left etc. the fades Miss is just a bit more predictable
