    I have been wanting to see the Z-flic poles in action, as I consider my next tent choices. Thanks for the video!

    Considering I saw one of your earliest reviews, you have really leveled up. That intro was so good with the music and the titles really add to the video. Holy multiple angles, that made editing way harder but the look of it is worth it. What makes your video so good is that you represent the everyman!

    • @DMSAdventures
      @DMSAdventures  11 месяцев назад +1

      😀 Ya the tent reviews are a lot of work but that is where the watchtime and subs come from at the moment. I haven't built a large enough audience for trip videos to keep us afloat yet. This video is a little late in the season for it to do REALLY good! I certainly enjoy the challenge of the multiple angles and the editing. Thanks!! I can't handle the pressure of doing anything perfectly the first time! I always screw something up! 🤪

      @@DMSAdventures The one good thing about youtube, is that people will find this review when the season starts. Most of our seasonal content doesn’t pick up until the next season. Seriously well done.

      @SantosChronicles Thanks Carl I appreciate it! Ya we've had that happen a few times where something sat dormant for 6 months and then for no apparent reason just took off! One of them was a really early video with terrible quality... its STILL doing pretty good!

    Love this tent so far. I too set up the fly inside out. And I gave up on the stakes immediately. Depending upon ground I use MSR groundhog (hopefully mini). Like your presentation starting with your son. And comparison to the equipment you were using. Good personal touch.

      Hey thanks for the kind words! Some people just want the info but that's too boring for me to shoot and produce!! 😀 I've used it in the field only two times now but each time i get a better pitch!! Thanks for watching and taking a moment to drop a comment!! 🤜🤛

    Nice job on the review. Very detailed, practical and useful. Thanks. One question: does it matter which way the mesh inner tent goes in the outer fly? If so, are there indicators on both pieces to assist proper orientation?

      Thanks alot!! 😊 That's a great question. Too the best of my recollection, no it doesnt matter. I only attached it here in this review. I just leave it attached when I fold it up.

    This video is really good and I’m laughing but not for any reason you may think. Trey amigos just did their first review of a product. Stay tuned that video will come out Oct 2. It was a calamity of issues and you can see the difference in myself who’s just figuring out this RUclips stuff out vs you who’s been here a while. Also I don’t have a lot of experience in various tents. So prepare to laugh with me when you compare your video with mine.

      Hahaha ok!! Well you gotta start somewhere! My first one had pretty terrible audio! I had to do some cutting to get it under 20 min too!! I just thought over 20 was a little too much!

    Thank you soooo much for showing it from above----however, absolutely NO ONE will show me how to put the interior part of the tent in!!! Kind of super important. I could not figure out how to get around the poles. Argh. I kind of hated putting this thing up.

    • @DMSAdventures
      @DMSAdventures  5 месяцев назад

      You're welcome! The way we film the first setup i can't really show what's going on in the inside. I tried to come back and show a few aspects of getting the inside in there. It just clips into a snap buckle at the top and hangs. Then the D rings attach in the 4 corners. You just set it in between the two poles then Make the 6 connections. Two at top and the 4 corners. Then i actually put the pole ON the little fabric tab attached to the tent. I role it up with the tent attached to the fly now so i haven't had to reattach the inner tent since the first time. Sorry i couldn't show you better in the video!! Hope you're able to get it!!

    It takes up too much space, sometimes this tent is not practical in the jungle, especially in Europe, but it is better in the United States.

    • @DMSAdventures
      @DMSAdventures  3 месяца назад

      For sure it's footprint can be an issue for some. You can always go with a bivy when camping in the European jungles!!!

      @@DMSAdventures well, take critique or don't.

    • @DMSAdventures
      @DMSAdventures  Месяц назад

      I can certainly take a constructive critique. Especially a specific one. I went back and watched it, and what I consider the intro was under a minute. I'm not sure what was so self-absorbed other than mentioning that we made a little money on another platform which we had been asked about in the past. You were the only comment that mentioned the intro being both too long and self-absorbed. If it was something I heard more than once from different people, I would definitely take it as a critique to pay attention to in further videos. Meaningful critiques are generally better received when they are justified with specifics and included with some sort of compliment to let the creator know the commentor is acting in good faith and not just being mean.
