I think one that would be incredible to do would be pile ins in this type of depth too, explaining double pile ins or if you can pile in even if there are no models within range etc. It’s something I personally found really hard to get my head around. When spell casting (at least with lumineth) against competitive players, most of them know what spells they want to unbind. So I personally cast out my critical spells that i need for that turn, and if those get stopped I pivot to a more agressive casting phase or try to repostion the majority of my army.
Would love more content like this. Did not know that about when to pick my battle tactic, great pointer! Tips and tricks for every phase would be awesome. Thanks
@@at3969 He said you should pick your battle tactic after you have done all your "start of hero phase" actions, so at the end of that subphase, not the entire hero phase. And the active player does all his "start of hero phase" actions before the opponent, so the opponent will pick his heroic action, do rally etc... after the active player has has picked his battle tactic.
Whoever's turn it is has to finish ALL of their "Start of" Hero Phase things first, so Battle Tactic and Heroic Action, before the other person picks their Heroic Action. Always wait until they finish everything so you can pick the best Heroic Action for yourself too!
Good tip on the unbinding endless spells first, i'd would like to add when saving best spells for last, if you have a wizard with lots of spells, that means more chances for rolling a double one! Also didnt knew you could pick you battle tactic last!
Yep, last in the "Start of Hero" phase! Good call on a potential miscast, definitely don't want to trigger that, but even then on a 2 cast Wizard I'll still save it for last; if I miscast on the first spell it just means I would have miscast the one I wanted anyways!
I have a question on the tactic you mentioned in 2:41 about "save stacking" I believed that you could only have a maximum of +1 / -1 to a save characteristic? (AoS 3rd ed section 13.3) "A save roll cannot be modified by more than +1)
By save stacking I mean stacking as many +1's to save as I can! Your actual save roll maxes out at +1, but the additional "stacks" help offset any rend that's coming your way. So if I'm sitting at +3 to my save and an attack comes in with rend -2 I'll still have my +1 to save total.

When it comes to Lumineth, total eclipse is almost always your last spell.
