    This is a sweet channel. So nice to actually have example shots that don't look like complete shit!

    Nice review. It's hard to find much information on Leica 3 new M lenses. I'm also curious about the 35 Summicron ASPH II and the 11 blade aperture it has.

      Trust us, when we can get our hands on one we'll make a little video about it.

      Brennan here, I managed to snag one. I'll have a little first impressions review and some sample images up this weekend.

      Oh that's awesome, thank you! Please be sure to comment on what you think of the bokeh. I'm wondering if the 11 aperture blades will make a significant different over the original.

      +Bryan Campbell will do, I'm gonna post some sample photos as well. It's just too bad I don't have the original ASPH to compare it to side by side.

    Thanks! Time for a new video! Have you used the VM40 or VM50 f/1.2s? Or the Bessas?

    it would be nice if you can review the new 28 elmarit asph as well..

    • @BrooklynShootersChannel
      @BrooklynShootersChannel  8 лет назад

      +MrSangkanjaya That lens came as well but I only had the opportunity to take one. I decided on the 28mm Summicron because I felt that more had changed between that one and the previous model than the 28/2.8. If I have the opportunity again then I'll put up a little talk about the 28 Elmarit as well.

    Can you show the viewfinder blockage? I'm at the cross road between this and the Elmarit. Thanks in advance!

    Can you please explain if the 28mm on the Leica q series is at par with the regular leica lenses (so much cheaper and has autofocus). Is it a legitimate summilux (i know it is not a 1.4 which summiluxes usually are, but other then that, is the leica q lens really at par with other leica lenses)? I have found no google info or youtube video on this point.

    Hi, you didn't showed us how much the hood block the viewfinder. What about Leica vs Ziess lens? Thanks

    • @BrooklynShootersChannel
      @BrooklynShootersChannel  8 лет назад +1

      Hey, it's Brennan! I'm a genius and totally forgot to take a through the viewfinder image but it's definitely the same or less blockage than the 35/1.4 FLE from Leica as well.
      Hope this helps!

    how can I distinguish the new 28mm ASPH from the old ASPH version?

    • @spoolindsm127
      @spoolindsm127 5 лет назад +1

      The older 11604 model has a clip-on hood with two tabs on either side, whereas the new 11672 model has a screw-on hood with a longer round base to it, so you'll see the exposed threads at the very front of the lens (unless the thread protection ring is on, then read below). Plus the hood is metal on the new one and plastic on the old.
      On both lenses, above the aperture ring, there's a thin lip against which the base of the lens hood sits. On the old one, there's a gap or recess just below it, on the new one there isn't.
