TO GROW | Short horror film

This is my graduation film for the BA.
We meet Jane soon after her father has passed away. Her sister has married off to wealthy husband and her father being the last immediate family member, Jane is now left alone in her large stately home. Isolated and grieving, She doesn’t not want to deal with her emotions properly.
This manifests itself into a large terrifying creature which stalks and torments her until she faces the monster (and her emotions) face on.

I like how the film was shot, but I had no clue what was going on. Then I read the synopsis. I never would have interpretted the film that way.

This was my student graduation film which was made during 2020 covid so sadly due to restrictions and time/budget myself and my small team weren't able to get everything we intended on shooting, so I understand that it may be a bit confusing to some people.
We've used what we've learnt on this, to make our future films better :)

This was filmed after the first lockdown, so some shots/scenes weren't able to happen due to social distancing and budget. My next project hopefully won't have these issues and we can create a solid film with a fully developed script :)
