Didn't know you couldn't take it to the car wash anymore. Didn't know you had to tell the cops. Also didn't know about gas and the sun issues. Thanks for this.
Biggest con I see is the weather issue. If I park my car outside in an area that has 90 degree plus weather in the summer, over time that might become an issue.
Great contents. 😊 Just got PPF with XRPlus Xpel and ceramic coating but there were so dozens small bubbles and loose edges at many corners after installation. Installer said its normal and still in curing period. Bubbles will disappear and edges will stick after use heat gun. Is this supposed to happen?
Thanks...actually No, bubble aren't supposed to appear after installation, even if they appear, the installer is supposed to use the heat gun at the point of installation so that those bubbles don't come up in the first place. The thing with the edges tho, that's just bad.
@@Toolsplit Installer says on fresh install PPF, they dun use heat gun until after 3 weeks curing process is pass; otherwise, the films will burn. They also said bubbles is normal and will go away.
For con #2, does it matter if you get for example a dragon design on your car, but the base color is still black, or even getting a matte black wrap, but the normal color is still black? Or would you still have to notify with the specifics of the wrap?
This depends on where you live, for some states you need some sort of approval for decals for others not so much. generally if the art isn't promoting a business or product, you should be ok
Double protection and cost. They’ll charge you to wrap the car in both materials. It’s used if they don’t have the color of ppf you want & you want to protect the vinyl wrap
the wrap looks dope, it looks more "beasty"....this is how it was meant to look 🙂 I want a wrap for my is 250 but I'm scared because I park under the sun all day long

Think of it more like preserving the value of the car + having the option to change the colour every now and then. There is a reason why Paint Protection Film (PPF) is popular!

i want to get a camo wrap but bit worried about sun damage dont mind to much if it fades but how long can u leave it in the sun before it starts curling or peeling off?
From our almost 1 year experience, I’d say ours is doing well, without any fade, and it gets used every single day under the insane African heat. Normally a good quality wrap should last at least 3 years under direct sunlight, before any signs of fade or peeling should appear!
Finally a good straight to the point video

Just got my car wrapped, this is very helpful, thank you ❤
Good points I hadn't considered, nice car and color choice as well!!
Thanks! 👍
Nice video, thanks for the tips. I plan on getting my Tesla Model S Plaid wrapped within next few months. Mine is kept in garage and is not my daily

My car sits outside. Does putting a car cover on the car when parked help the longevity?
Thank you for the tips. I would imagine the pros and cons in Nigeria are the same as here in California
I would think it's a safe bet as both locations reach very high temps
Helpful video. Thank you for that.
Glad it was helpful!
is it matt black or satin matte black

What would happen if you wrap the car and then you put the paint protective wrap over the wrap 🤔🤔
It would make the wrap strong.
You wouldn’t do that it wouldn’t work PP is almost the same apply process
It will turn into a neutron star
And then you put a wrap over the ppf

It looks cool in black.
The white looked better tbh
is it matt black or satin matte black
Great video
Hi! So you can literally take the wrap off and your colour would be original without damaged?
yes! Provided that was the original color of the car, and it was in good condition before putting the wrap on
the wrap looks dope, it looks more "beasty"....this is how it was meant to look 🙂 I want a wrap for my is 250 but I'm scared because I park under the sun all day long
Thank you...I think you should give it a go, it may not last as long as it should, but it will give your car a look you'd be proud of💪🏾
@@Toolsplit what if I go for a regular painting(satin grey) will it still be looking like satin grey wrap?
What exact wrap colour is this? Thanks

Thank you for this i am thinking about wrapping my car and i didnt know a lot of these things
Get off the wrap off & how long does it last
Most 2 years
How about price?
Depends on your Country and local prices, in Nigeria it costs around N350k - N450k for a high quality wrap

Umm…you have a VIN # so you find the car that way and license plates
True, but licence plates get changed, and Police don't add VIN to general announcements...because you have to catch them first😅

Never wrap a car. It always looks bad. And it ruins your paint.
When done by a professional, it makes your car feel fresh without having to change the original paint, win win situation
Im willing to bet some of those luxury cars in that neighborhood are stolen and shipped from America and Canada lol
