The top pins are actually standard for a 7/8" body, cam locks, padlocks, key switches have a smaller body than a mortise, rim and/or cylinder unit; hence, the shorter top pins.
Hi bill ...been watching u for a couple weeks now and I'm so into watching how the locks work and u getting them open, I've been looking around I think I'm going to get a set of picks ...so thanks for the inspiration ,all the best Doug.
Well bill, youre a lot braver than me. Last time I gutted a multilock pip, everything flew out and I lost some of the driver inners. Good job picking it. You made it look easy (it would have taken me at least an hour!!). Once you've picked it, the inner keypins flop about and get stuck in any grooves or cuttouts in the Bible. Probably why it kept getting stuck when you were pushing your follower through.
Kinda glad you didn't just breeze right through that lock.. I have a similar, multi-lock junior that is giving me problems. Now I don't feel AS bad! Gonna get back after it, thanks Bill!
Update, I just opened that S.O.B up!! Mul-T-Lock Junior (American 700 series style) 5 pin-in-pin... OK, I know its not a huge deal, but its the first challenging dimple lock I've opened, and the wife isn't home to brag to (she wouldn't care either) so I wanted to share with the Tribe! 👍🏻
For future reference, can we get a chart of how frustrated Bill is with the disassembly as the video rolls? Like Bill frustration on the y-axis and time on the x-axis
Great content, like always. But please, turn of the auto focus of your camera. When you have a lock in the vice, manual focus would really be the better option.
Is it just the point-of-view messing with me or didn't you 100% prevent the clip coming off with the clip-off-comer tool by placing your thumb on the clip?
Hi Bill, love your videos. How about picking some rusty locks? You know, the ones that barely open with an original key? Is that something that would be even doable?
The chances are you will be against a thief with little knowledge of how locks work. Then they actually have to know how to pick them open, have equipment with them. Overall though a lock is a deterrent, something that will persuade a thief to go elsewhere. If someone is determined enough and has the time they will get in. Also remember that security is linked to the weakest point. That is often climbing over gates or fences, breaking windows. I have seen a thief go through a thin wood wall - they then decided that there wasn't anything worth stealing.
@Chodda Mul T lock is or was an Israeli company. Here in Israel these are very common and could be considered good quality for the price. There are locks with 5, 6 and 7 dimple pins, some have drill resistant cores, depends on ones budget. Select one with extream high low pinning, you should be well sorted for home or buisness.
You seem a bit off today Bill. Not only fumbling the core and getting 2 stacks mixed up, but the camera kept focusing on your thumb instead of the lock (I cleaned my glasses twice before I realised it was the camera focus. LOL). What are those 3 holes on the side? And what was it hanging up on when you were trying to extract the plug?
Gosh I have to say that would be an easy pick. The MT5s are the difficult ones a 4 pin Junior is almost a joke for a big padlock body. Kinda like master lock does.
destructive force is more common. keep in mind too, that despite his humility, bill is very skilled, and extremely practiced, something most criminals are not. if they had that level of discipline, theyd likely not be criminals.
because picking a lock takes time, Something that is well secured will cause most criminals to move on because the easiest means of entry is brute force. However brute force makes noise. Noise alerts people who could call the police, An armed property owner or both. Now that said if you have something someone REALLY wants they will get it. All security physical and network is built on the low hanging fruit principle. the idea is to make your fruit hang high enough its not worth the time, How high depends on what is being secured. If you have a shipping container full of flat screen TVs, its probably worth that Squire 100CS that Bill and LPL needed multiple shots from a .50cal to break. If its a wooden shed with a lawn mower from Home Depot, You can probably skip the Squire.
Thank you Bill for sharing with us.
Another great pick.
Wow you just completely almost made that look like picking a master lock. Great video as always bill. Thank You!!!!
The top pins are actually standard for a 7/8" body, cam locks, padlocks, key switches have a smaller body than a mortise, rim and/or cylinder unit; hence, the shorter top pins.
Thank you for your time and videos. Good luck on your future endeavors.
That was impressive, pretty tough with those security pins. Always enjoyable and informative watching you.

I'm so glad that Bill is not my local bike thief.
Thanks for all the great content bill. I always look forward to seeing new notifications.
Maybe you can turn autofocus off on your camera to stop it from focusing on your hand when you’re picking.
Hi, Bill. I thought it had you there a time or two. Thanks for sharing! Stay healthy! Peace! Love! Charity!
Old school Bill back, Love it
Thanks for the video

Very nicely done you make it look so simple. 😎🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟🏅
Nicely done.
Lockpicking Lawyer sent me ^.^ you guys are skilled AF
O ! Two mushrooms !
Good day
Wow you made that look so easy Bill ,well not the gutting part obviously. But a great pick.
For future reference, can we get a chart of how frustrated Bill is with the disassembly as the video rolls? Like Bill frustration on the y-axis and time on the x-axis
@fleurdelispens A real time Ooof-meter for Bill ?
Nice work.
Happy Friday Bill!
Any pick is a good pick. Happy Friday!
A nice piece of hardware for sure
Great vid as always, thank you. I know you are a guitar player, were you an EVH fan? All the best mister Bill.
great videos
Definitely wanna try my hand at one of these.
No offense but... It was fun watching you struggle just a little. LOL
thats why its a shame he does not accept challenge locks anymore
It always is
Have you ever tried any of Rainer Popp's puzzle locks.
Great content, like always.
But please, turn of the auto focus of your camera. When you have a lock in the vice, manual focus would really be the better option.
But if he locks his af, he'll pick it...
Bill you need to get a dlsr camera and learn to use manual focus your thumbs in the way!!
Very good job Bill.
I always use a shim, and still it goes wrong sometimes.
So tension wise, do Mul-T-Locks like a lot of tension?
Is it just the point-of-view messing with me or didn't you 100% prevent the clip coming off with the clip-off-comer tool by placing your thumb on the clip?
so sorry but whenever I see this brand of lock my brain imagines it being said by Leeloo in 5th element. mooool t lock.
Same! =]
Well done 👍... bit too much autofocus on your thumb though 😁
Hi Bill, love your videos. How about picking some rusty locks? You know, the ones that barely open with an original key? Is that something that would be even doable?
He does, but picking generally relies on the smooth action of the lock... WD-40 helps.
@@cheyannei5983 I am aware of that. I was just wondering if it was achievable
are these locks recommended. i use one and just want to be safe
Yes Mul T locks are among the best.
The chances are you will be against a thief with little knowledge of how locks work. Then they actually have to know how to pick them open, have equipment with them.

The camera refusing to focus on the lock instead of your hand is driving me extra crazy this time for some reason.
i usually just read the comments when that happens. you can still hear him, so its not so bad
i just took off my glasses and that evened it out for me. all was crisp and clear
@@silentepsilon888 haha.
finally got my disk pick from sparrows.....now i have to go buy a lock to pick....
Either the video got blurry a couple of times or I need an eye exam.could be my new meds or not
Camera keeps focusing on your thumb instead of the core or pick. YOu've gotta fix that Bill!! Aarrrgh!
Once he goes to a set location he should turn off the autofocus and leave it manual so it does not hunt.
it must be humbling for you when after picking some of the more complicated locks in the world to then struggle with the C clip to take them apart.
Sometimes you need a stinking key to put it back together! Haha
4 it's mushroom key....
Now you just pick him.....
Now I'll see 4th pin )
I think so ......
If he had sent you the key it would have saved you a lot of trouble in disassembly !
Can you please help me whit my lock? Please
I love your videos, Bill, but the auto focus gave me motion sickness. Move yo' thumb!!!
Gosh I have to say that would be an easy pick. The MT5s are the difficult ones a 4 pin Junior is almost a joke for a big padlock body. Kinda like master lock does.
Mul T Lock goes the distance against Bosnian Bill but loses fight in a close decision.
Mul T Lock: "We were robbed!"
Why do we bother with locks anymore? And hasn't it ALWAYS been the easiest thing to pick a lock???
destructive force is more common. keep in mind too, that despite his humility, bill is very skilled, and extremely practiced, something most criminals are not. if they had that level of discipline, theyd likely not be criminals.
