Can you try opening Gradle window manually via menu ?
View -> Tool Windows -> Gradle
If that doesn't work, make sure that the Gradle plugin is indeed installed intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4408495688594-missing-gradle

Spring Boot bootrun taking infinite time. The application is stuck in bootrun.

I can't find that bootRun option in Android Studio. I see Gradle sync finished and the Gradle option on the right shows SpringServer and Execute Gradle Task option. Do I need to use Intellij?

Why didn't you add MYSQL as dependency, and create database from intellij, that's a cool way of creating and connecting database ?
