2000 years later Historians debate whether the main character of that film was named after Milo Rossi, depending on when they believe the internet was invented.
This feels like one of those mobile game ads where the guy gets pushed off a cliff at level 99 by a level 999 person and ends up level 1 You know the ad
Be comforted: you didn't lose chess to a dog. You lost to **Milo,** the guy who takes down all the whacked-out conspiracies and bs archaeology with cold hard logic, facts, and actual science. For FUN. He may not be the Bobby Fischer of archaeology, but he's at least on the level of Bill Nye.
Roanoak is facinating because like; The terrain sucked for building, the soil sucked for agriculture, the water sucked for fishing... The hell were those people hoping to do there?
Guys, can't the Atlantis video be the friends we made along the way? Can't it be the memories, the mirages of thumbnails in the corner of your eyes and the hope we hold in our hearts for a better world (where Atlantis the video is real)
I find all the atlantis comments on every video very funny because I have forgotten about that video altogether several times, but every time milo releases a new video these days, the comments are there to remind me it doesn't exist
Super neat. My 9th and 10th Great Grandfathers landed in Roanoke in the late 16th century, leaving behind a 2-year-old in England (my 8th great grandfather)
As a native person, I can answer this question very easily xD they defected to go live with the local indigenous tribe because the quality of life was better. it was a common "problem" with settlers in the early days before they started straight up murdering us for our goodwill
From NC and, of course, grew up hearing all kinds of things about the Lost Colony! It's kind of incredible how much (and simultaneously how factually little) we were taught about it in school when I was coming up. I'm stoked for this!!
Ah yes, the mystery where the missing people left a note saying where they were going, the people looking for them never went to check and see if they were there, and then went back to england forever. This is gonna be a fun watch but I have no idea how "mysteries" like this get so popular lmao
Thank you. I first read about this alleged mystery nearly 40 years ago... in a book that promptly explained the solution as well. And yet people still bang on about it. Sure there may be some particular points not yet fully understood but it's been painfully obvious what happened for a very long time.
When you were describing cryptids just out of sight, I half expected to see something in the background behind you. Even a cardboard cutout of Bigfoot would have been funny there. :)
As an enterprising kid, I found a summer camp that I really, really wanted to go to. It was located in Roanoke, Virginia. Having heard of the Roanoke story, I assumed that it was on the coast - because the original was, so of course its namesake also would be on the coast. It was not, and I learned that I should consult a map the next time I had a brilliant idea.
After years of being fascinated, but unconvinced, by the various tellings of the Roanoke story I really look forward to this. I might even post a comment during the Premier, and watch it disappear amongst the 22,750 other comments posted in that precise second.
Milo thumbing his nose at doing an Atlantis episode is like Well There's Your Problem always saying the next episode will be on Chernobyl. Its very funny to me.
I went down to the outer banks a couple years back with my dad and watched the lost colony play. They lean into the "they ran out of supplies, lost a lot of people and joined with the Coaton" explanation. Virginia is treated with a weird amount of reverence. The puppets and the projector tech were cool though.
The year is 2108, Milo’s descendants have finally released the Atlantis video. It’s about the 2001 Disney movie.
2000 years later Historians debate whether the main character of that film was named after Milo Rossi, depending on when they believe the internet was invented.
Or any video....
Id still watch it.
worth the wait that movie is PEAK
That movie was one if the few original gems that Disney made... I'm sad that they'll never make another treasure like that.
I feel like a dog when it’s owner pretends to throw a ball
No, my dog figured that trick out faster than what we’re doing here.
We all saw Atlantis in the thumbnail and got excited
OMFG same ahhhahaha
hes edging us…
Release the Atlantis files!
He knows what he did
I'm sure we all did lol😂
Milo really be farming the atlantis hype
Is he wrong to?
@VoidStaresback no its funny AF, first Pompeii and now this, the Atlantis video gonna feel like Endgame.
@VoidStaresback not at all lol, just funny
i hope atlantis vid will be like 8 minutes long
@haroldshea3282tbh I hope it's 8 hours long
I saw Atlantis and got excited. Now I feel like I lost chess to a dog
Who hasn't been there 😅😷🥸
This feels like one of those mobile game ads where the guy gets pushed off a cliff at level 99 by a level 999 person and ends up level 1
You know the ad
Sounds like The Seventh Seal but the Grim Reaper occasionally takes a break to lick his own butt
Be comforted: you didn't lose chess to a dog. You lost to **Milo,** the guy who takes down all the whacked-out conspiracies and bs archaeology with cold hard logic, facts, and actual science. For FUN. He may not be the Bobby Fischer of archaeology, but he's at least on the level of Bill Nye.
real 😭😭
I think I heard the gasp of every Milo fan who read the word “Atlantis” on the thumbnail, followed by a collective groan…
I gasped and then laughed out loud xD
Yep, exactly what I did lol
yep
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 so thats what that noise was, I thought it was my echo but im not anywhere an echo could be reasonably achieved with little to no effort.
@Thefantasybug
that was very shakespeare
I never thought I would be rage baited by ATLANTIS of all things.
REAL
I love that you put "Lost" in quotations. Thank you for that.
Im still out here looking for the lost video of atlantis
we all are 😔
Thank you for all you do
Roanoak is facinating because like; The terrain sucked for building, the soil sucked for agriculture, the water sucked for fishing...
The hell were those people hoping to do there?
It was the only empty piece of land because the natives didn't want to live there
Reindeer? The waters good for fishing over here in the Nordics but the ground does suck and reindeer were the solution
Colonialism. They were hoping to do colonialism for the English crown.
In their defence, they were English. They don't know any other terrain, soil nor water.
@plant_12 Reindeer require massive areas of land for roaming, and you can't just stick them in any climate.
Dude I literally watched the Croatoan episode of supernatural yesterday and was thinking to myself "wow, milo should do a video on roanoke"
It was also featured in American Horror Story. I hope Milo's video lives up to that hype.
@Leon_the_wildcat And
Sleepy Hollow!
YES I'M FROM NC AND I'VE BEEN LEARNING ABOUT THIS SINCE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL THANK YOU MILO MWAH MWAH MWAH
so excited for this vid!!! ive been obsessed with roanoke for years
We’ve been waiting longer for the Atlantis video
I'm stoked! This story always felt like a folk ghost story that nobody ever wants to talk about the real known facts of.
Guys, can't the Atlantis video be the friends we made along the way? Can't it be the memories, the mirages of thumbnails in the corner of your eyes and the hope we hold in our hearts for a better world (where Atlantis the video is real)
*ok: this one made me smile wryly*
I find all the atlantis comments on every video very funny because I have forgotten about that video altogether several times, but every time milo releases a new video these days, the comments are there to remind me it doesn't exist
Super neat. My 9th and 10th Great Grandfathers landed in Roanoke in the late 16th century, leaving behind a 2-year-old in England (my 8th great grandfather)
i haven’t been here long enough to have been jebaited by the atlantis in the title i’m just flippin amped Milo is gonna talk about the roanoke colony
Stick around, you'll get there. 😅
I am so glad you're doing a video on Roanoke. Can't wait.
Roanoke island is really interesting, love going to the pageant they hold whenever I get the chance to get down there.
I've been in that pageant! Also worked as a reenactor down there for a time.
We're never finding Atlantis
Correction: we're never finding the Atlantis VIDEO
@stewartgibson5802 In soviet russia the Atlantis video finds YOU.
Maybe Atlantis was the friends we made along the way.
Well obviously, it was a metaphor used by Plato
At this point we'll find Atlantis before Milo releases the video
"The Lost C-" 😃
"-olony of Roanoke" 💔
I KNOW!!! I saw all the comments talking about seeing Atlantis in the title but I saw "the lost c" and thought city 😢😭
I was in Manteo last weekend! Awesome timing!
We’re getting warmer
This little scamp knows exactly what he's doing and I intend to keep rewarding him for it.
Baited by the history twink once again
So mysterious that they literally left a sign of where they went
In the place where they agreed to leave a sign if they will move somewhere.
Ah yes, the mystery where the missing people left a note saying where they were going, the people looking for them never went to check and see if they were there, and then went back to england forever.
This is gonna be a fun watch but I have no idea how "mysteries" like this get so popular lmao
Don't forget their kids later showing up exactly where they said they went.
I saw Atlantis and got exited, I will still watch this one all the way through and enjoy it fully out of spite
YAY! One of my favorite "mysteries" of the East Coast!
I used to work for the NPS here! I'm super excited for this video. (Sort of worked here, mostly worked on Bodie Island.)
I’m so excited for this video. I love the Roanoke story!
I’m definitely more interested in a video about something that did exist than something that didn’t. Go Milo!
Don't worry guys. He had to go through America's Atlantis to reach the actual Atlantis. It much closer to home!
Imma binge this and the lemmino vid back to back
I live on Roanoke Island and I saw someone on a packed travel bike that looked a whole lot like yours a little while back
Atlantis When?!?!?
Roanoke has always intrigued me since I was a little kid first learning about it, excited for this video!
Yes! Looking forward to this one!
YAAAY i love this part of history and the myths surrounding it i can't wait for the vid
Oh, hell yeah! I know we're all jonesing for Atlantis, but I'm honestly stoked to see Milo's take on Roanoke!
He can't keep getting away with it!!!!!
Excited to hear the details of this one! I have a rough idea of what happened but I like the way you explain things.
Ah, yes. The expedition of Louiswis and Clark. Thank you, 0:15 captions. I needed a chuckle.
Also, wrong Atlantis, Milo!
OMG I love this one!! I did an English essay on this one, I found it really interesting and I'm so excited to see your take!
Can't wait, always been curious about this one.
Anything but the Atlantis video huh
Going Googledebunkers from Atlantis withdrawal over here…
Thank you. I first read about this alleged mystery nearly 40 years ago... in a book that promptly explained the solution as well. And yet people still bang on about it. Sure there may be some particular points not yet fully understood but it's been painfully obvious what happened for a very long time.
Very excited for this because I recently watched a news clip about the museum with all the artifacts proving what really happened
you are teasing us, Milo
Lemmino would be proud 0:23
You can't distract us from the actual Atlantis video, Milo! We will keep waiting! (In the meantime, I will be watching this one when it comes out lol)
HES EDGING USSSS
Hes taunting us
Man will literally make a video about every other Atlantis except the one we want.
I half expect him to review the Disney movie.
That was a good movie tho
Milo vs Milo.
I see what you did there but I respect it
This is a great story, can't wait to hear Milo cover it!
Ooooh, Lemmino once blessed us with his yearly video about exactly this topic. Curious to see Milo's take.
So freaking PUMPED for this!
I can't wait for this!
When you were describing cryptids just out of sight, I half expected to see something in the background behind you. Even a cardboard cutout of Bigfoot would have been funny there. :)
Its not the Atlantis video i wanted but i'l take it in the meantime
Fascinating topic
This is gonna be awesome!!
Milo will give us absolutely anything but Atlantis
As an enterprising kid, I found a summer camp that I really, really wanted to go to. It was located in Roanoke, Virginia. Having heard of the Roanoke story, I assumed that it was on the coast - because the original was, so of course its namesake also would be on the coast. It was not, and I learned that I should consult a map the next time I had a brilliant idea.
Milo's just gonna mine the f out of us wanting the Atlantis episode
After years of being fascinated, but unconvinced, by the various tellings of the Roanoke story I really look forward to this. I might even post a comment during the Premier, and watch it disappear amongst the 22,750 other comments posted in that precise second.
Atlantis is going to be discovered before the Atlantis Episode releases
Maybe that's what he's waiting for 😂. To have real archeological data
"We have atlantis video at home"
milo is just teasing us with the atlantis episode at this point
Milo thumbing his nose at doing an Atlantis episode is like Well There's Your Problem always saying the next episode will be on Chernobyl. Its very funny to me.
They’re complaining about the Atlantis title but I’m just happy because I’ve been obsessed with Roanoke since elementary school
I cant wait for this I remember hearing about this in 2nd grade and always wanting to know more
Would love a Milo video about Atlantis, but Roanoke is my personal Atlantis. I'm so excited for this
I’m from NE NC and grew up hearing the stories and taking a field trip to Manteo.
This is WAY more interesting to me than Atlantis.
I am SO EXCITED about this one. I've been interested since I first learned about this in middle school.
Yes, this has pissed me off since I was a child and I'm 54 now- thank you
Being from the lick, I am thrilled to see the name mentioned
Anything to not give us Atlantis
Pumped, Roanoke story is super cool!
"I know what my community would really love, an Atlantis video! ...An American Atlantis video!" ily Milo keep being cool
I went down to the outer banks a couple years back with my dad and watched the lost colony play. They lean into the "they ran out of supplies, lost a lot of people and joined with the Coaton" explanation.
Virginia is treated with a weird amount of reverence. The puppets and the projector tech were cool though.
Ive been waiting for this
close enough, ty
Finallyyy, the atlantis video
ooooh this is gonna be interesting! can't wait 😮😅
This should be fun. Looking forward to Raonoake.
Oh my god the lost colony of Roanoke was my hyperfixation for YEARS as a child
I’M SO EXCITED i just learned about this but it wasn’t covered in detail
I used to love this as a kid, can’t wait to hear the updated (and factual) story
You know it's gonna be a great day, when the Google debunker himself drops a trailer 🤩
Can't wait to learn about Roanoke ❤
Really looking forward to this. Pretty sure I know the gist, but I'm still willing to bet I learn something.
Ooo.... Neat! A video about Roanoke! I have to catch that!
excited
All here for it
Love it.
Hells yes!!!
