For centuries the quest for the Holy Grail, the cup that served wine at the Last Supper and caught the blood of Christ. The cup that was entrusted to Joseph of Arimathea.
The Holy Grail was a quest that Henry Jones Sr. searched for his entire life, it was his obsession. Even while being a scholar and a teacher of Medieval literature (the ones the students hope they won't get), to the point of neglecting his wife and his child.
The quest for the Grail is not archeology, it's a race against evil. If captured by the Nazis, the armies of darkness will march over the face of the Earth.
All the while Jones Sr. traced the whereabouts of the grail in his diary. Not only the location, but its history, the traps set up to protect it and of course, how will be worthy to hold it.
Today we are looking at the Hero version of the Grail Diary recreated by the Italian artist, Sarednab.

I have heard that Swak Props and I have purchased from Redrommel before. If you have a Grail Diary let me know your thoughts on yours and what you think of Sardenab's version. Stay well!
Well, I couldn’t find a Sardenab version anyplace (except for the deluxe version which is to much money for me), so I ordered a a Swak Props hero diary instead; It’s seems to be a strong runner up to Sardenab. I’ll let you know how it turned out after I get it (about 2 to 3 weeks).
@@thomaschandler5452 Yes, please do. My Donny Darko's "The Philosophy of Time Travel" is from Swak. I am thinking about their"The Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadow" is something I have been eyeing for sometime.

Well, the Swak props diary is fantastic, it looks exactly like the hero prop in the movie. And I must correct myself; getting the hero version first is the way to go. In the movie Indy said that his father was a bookworm and not a field man. Yet. the story version the diary portrays as a Henry Sr. as a field man who has traveled all around the world in search of the grail. I know this is being nit picky, but continuity is very important to me.

In the Venice library scene, Indy opens his father’s notebook to match the stained glass window to a drawing in the book. The piece of paper under Indy’s right thumb contains several lines of text describing the decline in marriage rates during World War I, and projections about the marriage rate returning to normal after the war.

Well, with my upcoming tax refund, I think I’m going to get the hero version of the Grail Diary from Sardenab. I’ve done a lot of research and he seems to be among the most highly regarded Grail Diary makers.
I totally agree. I specifically searched him out. Even during the pandemic, he kept me updated on the stage of the book. I am still happy with mine.

Another great video! Keep up the great work! I’ve got a Ramseyprops version of the Grail Diary coming this week and I too paid a lot of money for it. It is the story version of the diary with 42 inserts. I’ve got to disagree with you on one point- I think the story version is better than the hero version, I like the fact that it tells a story rather it just repeating the pages seen in the movie over and over. But - I totally agree with you that I’m open to getting another version down the line (way down the line considering the cost); it very well maybe the hero version next time.
I know that Sarednab also produces a story version. I was originally thinking about that version but, in the end I decided to ho with the "Hero" version. It just felt right to me.

@@aconstantlyracingmind8343 BTW, I saw in another one of your videos that you used a picture frame holder to display your Grail Diary - brilliant! I just got two picture frame holders from Amazon to display my Diary and the Envelope it came in (I found a book that was the exact same size as the diary and used it as "filler" for the envelope.

If only the holy grail was described more in the movie infact they should have made a tv show so people wouldn't have to all this reasearch so lots of the things that is seen here could be explained easier.

I haven't seen his autograph, but being that he is dead, I am sure it is a forgery. LOL
I actually found the page that Adolf Hitler's autograph was on. It was more in the middle of the book.
