This is a gorgeous piece. It’s amazing to see your growth and I love your style. It’s easy to see painting is your favorite art form. I love both your stories, but I lean towards her being the protector for those lost at sea and waiting to be rescued.💙
I came from Moriah Elizabeth’s playlist of the videos and you were one of them that made me immediately subscribe. I’m now watching all of your videos❤❤ never stop, you’re awesome and too underrated 😭❤️
Gorgeous painting!! 🥰 You did improve so much! 👏👏 The woman is more life like. 😍 I do think the first one looked more like a representation of the sea due to the waves. 🌊 The current one looks like a woman who is looking over the sea with concern like your husband said. 🙇♀️ Maybe the boat got loose from its moring?
This painting reminds me of a beautiful mermaid who's looking off into the distance at the sailboat and she's just coming out of the water so her hair is blending into the waves. I could see replacing the orca with a dolphin maybe. I live in the tropics where there are dolphins and manatees(the original mermaids) I have acryliguache but have yet to use it. I want to try the jelly guache though so its on my art supply wishlist.
Ooo! I love the idea of a mermaid! I did think about adding a dolphin, but felt like it would take away from the rest of the piece. That is so cool that you live near the ocean! I have so many more art supplies I want to try too! This one is so fun to use!
Happy Saturday everyone!! 💖 What do you think the story behind this piece is? 🌊 Have you used gouache before? Did you like using it? 🎨
