I'm VERY new to Tekken, played 7 for maybe like 15 hours or something, I play Asuka because I like her moveset and she feels satisfying to play. Versed what you would call a "parry only Asuka", literally, his favorite button was RT, he preemptively pressed it every time I moved. So I learned to play a LOT more carefully, baiting and using grabs more, it was a really good learning experience. He beat me the first game, but then I adjusted and beat him 3 times until he gave up :P
And here I thought it was only "Green Rank Strats" mind blowing to see that nonsense happening at this level of rank. I had a 4k win Suzaku Asuka do all this to me the other day and I was tilted af haha

If Asuka players can get by with only using their reversals and cancans, why would they spend all that time knowing the rest of their move list? It gets frustrating, but what are you gonna do?

To be honest, I like this Asuka player's playstyle. Unconditionable. Cannot be conditioned to the point where her mistakes becomes a mix-up and the opponent has to guess if she's going to repeat the mistake, or be rewarded for it.

This goes for all attacks including ones with motion or double button inputs which you'll have to figure out which side its considered (Asuka's original parry cannot parry headbutt, knee, elbow attacks, or throws) this must be done constantly for each individual attack you don't want parried on hit. I am convinced everytime a tekken players complains about a character they should be laughed out of the room. Every character has bullshit strings, properties that can be abused. It just comes down to what character people are willing to tolerate.

Do you even play him? You're probably a low rank if you think he's cheese. He has no move he can abuse like asuka's parry and she has much easier combos.

Tekken 8 will be made by the same company and developers who made Tekken 7 up to this point.

There is a lot of hope of Tekken 8 having amazing polish like MK and Injustice. let's say your throwing a left punch by hitting 1= (square on ps4 or X on xbox) you this chicken by hitting forward and the other limb input on the same side which is the left kick button 3= (X or A) IMMEDIATELY after your jab was inputted. This goes for all attacks including ones with motion or double button inputs which you'll have to figure out which side its considered (Asuka's original parry cannot parry headbutt, knee, elbow attacks, or throws) this must be done constantly for each individual attack you don't want parried on hit. Ill drop a link to a video that helped me understand the concept.

This Asuka player is pretty balanced ….seems your just bitter from the losses. There’s nothing wrong with back to back moves as long as your not constantly abusing them. Find a different excuse for your “butt hurt” losses.

Watching you lose somehow makes me feel better that even being as good as you are at the game there will always be that certain style/character/player that makes you question yourself, if I were you I'd probably blame that it was just online and that offline he wouldn't win as much, but you didn't use any excuses as to why you lost. Being competitive can be such a double-edged sword
He didnt lose cuz he bad , is the character that dont let him attack maybe is good strat vs hwo until he adapts , and vs others character this strat is awful and im sure this guy play the same vs every character , im suprised he achieved tekken god u dont even need to be good to achieve that rank

I swear, Asuka has got to be the most annoying character to fight in T7. Her arsenal consists of several safe moves that either launch on hit or CH. In T8, I hope they make chickening a lot easier (at least against Asuka), considering even elbows and knees can be reversed/parried now. And can we give throw escapes more +frames in favor of the escapee?
Naw easier escapes need to be for the grapple characters like king, Marduk, a. King & etc
