He’s basically saying coaches treat him like the best scorer ever compared to how they treat everybody else which is true…he doesn’t need to use offball screens and needs plays ran for him he can just get it and score 8/10 times from the deep three, the midrange and getting to the basket and coaches don’t want him getting hot so they make that adjustment as fast as possible to avoid not having any gameplay when he gets hot

Exactly the coaching today ain’t that good; while Kd is making excuses cuz he gets the same opportunities as these guys who have scored thee high totals the lack of defensive adjustments made is definitely a real thing. I been saying this for the past few years, when guys were scoring like this in the 2000s it held more weight. Better defense, better coaching, better overall schemes, lower pace

And his games where he takes “hella shots” are nothing compared to players like dame and Mitchell, who when they take “hella shots” they are at 35-40, while the most KD ever shot was 31 in a game, and he averages just 18.7 attempts per game. Mitchell has averaged 20.5 the last 3 years, and same has averaged 20.2 the last 4.
Kevin Durant is 8th in true shooting %, behind 6 centers/non-shooting PFs, and behind Austin reeves. He’s ahead of every person who shoots 3s at a somewhat consistent level at all, and he’s definitely ahead of everyone who makes their own shots consistently
