I'm sorry about all the veterans who risked their own lives to go to other people's war's but when they return they are never rewarded properly, most of them are homeless and are forgotten, the responsible governments should help them all 🙏🙏
I left Vietnam aboard the USS Tripoli in '72. It was obvious to some of us that Washington had no intention to win, when we were fired on, we were ordered NOT to return fire, go figure!!!
We had to get permission to return fire. One guy got court marshaled for firing back at the enemy without permission. The Vietnam war was run by a bunch of four star clowns who wound up giving the whole circus away!
I wasn't there...didn't turn 18 until sept of '75. But they would have been court marshalling or throwing my ass in the Brigg. Fk those rules of engagement.
OP, you are correct, NO radio communications education for these two actors. Add to that the TAN DESERT BOOTS on one, and the least black, modern boots to the sniper. And since when does a man get shot in the way Tan Boots was, and then walk around like its Sunday at Ft. Dix!!??. There are at least a dozen more flaws. UGGH! "SwampFox 56 -Out". US Army/Aviation, RVN, Jan'69- Aug 1970.
They look right to me. Cotton, OD Green. The Army wore OD Green until 1980, 81. Not quite sure when they traded the Cotton in, but it was sometimes in the latter half of the 70s.
They were still used after WW2, including Korean War as well as Vietnam War. Those early days when troops realized the unreliability of the early M16, they wanted the m1 for reliability....

This is movie clip training from military camps 🏕 or somewhere in US ok …? Not real Vietnam war ,but nice story thanks for posting buddy.( RCL and ARVN Veterans)🇺🇸🇨🇦🇫🇷🇦🇺🇩🇪🇮🇹🇰🇷🇵🇭🇹🇼
Vietnam, 1973. POWs were being released in February, and our last combat troops were pulled out by March 30th. Where were these guys supposed to be fighting? WWII helmet nets. No idea how to use cover. Foreign military field packs. Pineapple grenades. Viet Cong insurgents still fighting in 1973. VC wearing American boonie hats. VC wearing desert camouflage shirts in a jungle setting. Grenades that explode like artillery.... I could go on, but won't. Worst movie about Vietnam ever made.
so be it why would a soldier risked his life for the benefits of others not his country go overseas for the war of others now if he comes home they call him a war hero but in return there are no benefits at all
What Americans did with the Vietnamese people on that war! It’s shame for the humanity ever. Though the film makers of Hollywood make the solders as hero! They don’t have any regrets!
Whoever wrote this dialogue has clearly never been trained in the use of a radio or military r/t! No-one who knows what he or she is doing in radio transmission would ever, ever say 'over and out'! That is something written by people who do not know what they are talking about. 'Over' means ''over to you/awaiting your response' and 'out' means 'end of conversation', so they can never be said in conjunction with each other. Many, many years ago some dialogue writer misheard or misunderstood 'roger and out' meaning 'understood and end of conversation' and so began the history in very bad writing of using 'over and out', which is actually meaningless! Please stop using such utterly bad dialogue!! I have also never, ever seen so many overweight actors portraying the Viet-Cong.
They so could have left out all the religious, bulls**t outta the movie, & the song, when Johnny comes marching home outta the movie as well, but over all, the war action was awesome
That actor make a prayer ( Lord God Jesus) , but in a Buddhist temple it doesn't make sense to me. I am a born again Christian, because son of God Jesus, He is a jealous God and He hate evils and alien's gods, besides that actor at the end of prayer did say "Amen" ! It's very confuse to many people.

Best, and worse movie I've seen about the horrors of that freaking war!
Thanks guys!
35 seconds into the movie I had enough of this TRIPE
What a deep meaningful film I've just witnessed, the perils of war are clear to see and the effect it had on soldiers coming back from a pointless war

To all veterans, past and present, along with all family members of the deceased, May the hand of God be with you forever!
You said it right... Two of my uncles were in the Army both war heroes. One died in war the other still alive now paralyzed. Hello from India 🇮🇳
No military adviser was used in the making of this movie 😢
LOL

Over and Out? OMG! Obviously no Army adviser on the set...

Over and out was the first indicator. What a waste of time.
M-16 Armalite was used in Vietman, not the the M-1 Garand
Didn’t know army used ww2 uniforms in Vietnam especially in 1973.
They look right to me. Cotton, OD Green.
The Army wore OD Green until 1980, 81.
Not quite sure when they traded the Cotton in, but it was sometimes in the latter half of the 70s.
1973 soldiers also slept in WW2 barracks
mabey beacaes they didnt have modern day stuff
actually bu 1968, the Army had converted to the Permanit Press uniforms.
@@unitedwestand5100 By 1978, They had changed to the Permanent Press Uniforms.

i cannot believe Hart was just so heartless than to kill two young children like this. such a very sad story!

فلم حربي جميل جدا
I turned it off ten seconds after I saw M1’s being used.

Where's the
ARVN & South Vietnam Flag!!!
First of all the uniforms looked different, plus ww2 m1 garand rifles, looks out of place.
I think they should sack the technical director he is basically advising on a past war and a visit to a war clothing store…
I thought tunnel rats was the worst Vietnam movie until I saw this , this is absolutely the worst
I think it was filmed in a park near the Bronx.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 !!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What?
Hey 👋👋👋
Not a bad movie. It needs to be on DVD.
the environment filmed doesn't match to vietnam terrain
That's because it wasn't filmed in Vietnam
So sad so many killing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Ending of the movie is pretty sick. That Vet turned out to be a psychopath.
And the government took 40 years to acknowledge our mental stress for their BS, IT DON'T MEAN NOTHING BROTHERS.

Weren’t the last American combat troops leaving Vietnam in early 1973?
My wife helped draft dodgers get into Canada during the Vietnam war
And then she ate them
She should have sent these actors there!
America has never lesrnt s lesson. Yhey always trying to do good and end up being the bad guys.
