Good morning Sam. Using a mechanical advantage (snatch blocks) really ups your game and of course the mighty BX, nicely done. A pond is a great idea. You have a good jump on your summer projects because of the nice weather, gotta like that. Take care!
Hahaaa. Sam not only do get a lot accomplished, you are one talented joker man!! 😅 The expression "one man band" is talking about you! Well done with getting the tow haul system rigged properly & drove that unmanned truck from the BX!! 💪👍😅 Good stuff!! Keep up the good work & Stay Safe! 😊
It just makes sense. It will effectively be a detention pond. No idea what it would do "down stream" from my property but the county engineer's office said it doesn't matter. 🤠👍
@@samsdoinstuff heck yea.!! That’s good news. !! This makes folks take care of their land or watch it flood. It’s worse when they say you can’t do anything. Everyone suffers.
Sam that property has amazing potential. I have so many ideas for flowing water. I was a water management specialist for about 12 years. How high is that road from where your standing (beginning of cement culvert pipe) also how far. I can calculate the hydraulic head pressure coming off that hill. Where does that cement pipe drain to ???
Thank you! Boy am I glad you commented. I'm going to have an update in my next video. I'll get those figures for you. I know several reasons it failed but to hear from someone who knows will be priceless. 🤠👍
@@samsdoinstuff i will say it seems like the pressure of water that comes off that hill is massive. The potential of this pressure may very well exceed the a 15” pipe. The swell between the plastic pipe and the cement pipe you created effectively decreased the size of the pipe allowing debris to build up. A deeper sediment collection pit will work temporarily, you will need to clean it out after every rain. We can chat elsewhere if you’d like. I’m rooting for you 🦾
Shorts and t-shirt in March in Northeast Ohio. Love it. I'm not far away in Portage county Ohio Were the truck tires slightly turned when you pulled it? Wouldn't it be easier if they were straight?
Hmm, seems like the 4WD would have gotten you out of that quite easily, didn't look like you were stuck all that bad. The BX can do quite a bit, just wish they could lift a bit more but they are what they are, beats a shovel by far LOL.
I had the truck in 4WD Low and it just spun in the mud. I stopped trying when the tires spun so I didn't bury it. The mechanical advantage created by the pulleys was the key. The BX was just doing its job 🤠👍
Here's an example of extreme mechanical advantage! I really had my doubts. Was your truck stuck, or were you just playing around? ruclips.net/video/bRTIwWUg4fc/видео.html
The truck was stuck. Sorry, that actually was a little vague. It also had about half the dirt still in the trailer. I was very doubtful also, but once it started moving, I knew I was home free 🤠👍
@@samsdoinstuffI was doubtful about the guy in the link I posted with the stump and 18 hp tractor! I've seen excavators have a harder time. I knew you had it handled! 😎
Last my truck had a beat starter. Used my BX to drag it up the hill to a paved driveway to work on it. 8000lbs and it didn't even struggle.
Nice! They are mighty little tractors 🤠👍

Thank you Paul! I'm really hopeful for this summer. If things go well, it will be a drastic improvement around the barns 🤠👍

Thank you! When you work alone as much as I do, you have to work smarter 🤠👍
Snatch blocks are almost magic. 👍👍
I bought them for tree work and I've used them for about a dozen other reasons. I was definitely impressed this time 🤠👍
Really well done. Lots of stuff done!
Thank you so much!!!
Even using a couple of snatch blocks these bx's surprise a lot of people with what they can do!
I honestly didn't think it would do it. My Dad was going to come over so I could drive the truck but I figured, why not give it a try? 🤠👍
Smart pulling Sam! Thanks for the video. Cheers, Mike.
Thank you!!! I actually didn't think 2 pulleys would be enough. Glad it worked 🤠👍
I like where your head's at sir, I thank you! New sub in the PNW. Keep cuttin'!
Thank you!!! And welcome to the channel! You'll get a lot of variety here. Ya never know what stuff I'm gonna do 🤠👍
I knew you'd come around to the pond idea, lol.
