What I really love about this video is he is simply having a great time being honest about his riding and laughing at every corner and bump. The way mountain biking should be. Puts the viewer in the experience . . . even though I'm sitting at my kitchen island (dang it!)
I rode Cold Creek last month, as an out and back ride from Pioneer Trail. The section BKXC cleaned starting at 12:22 is no joke! The GoPro makes it look WAAAAAAY easier than it really is. When I was there they were shooting a commercial for Rocky Mountain Bikes at the 6 foot drop you see to the left (where the guy is standing filming). Trail Peek has a good video of them launching off of it. Crazy sh&t. Cold Creek has to be one of the most fun and easily accessible trails in SLT, the bottom section after the rock gardens is ridiculously fun, fast and flowy. Plus its mostly all in shade so perfect for hot summer days.
BKXC I chickened out! Glad you nailed it, nice riding. Stay safe and rubber side down! Sadly I’m sidelined now due to an inflamed knee after an epic month of non-stop riding in Sedona, Moab, Tahoe and Downieville. Looking to get back to it again soon and hit the PNW!
One of my favorite videos. The genuinity in your ride as with your emotion while you ride! You are the reason i bought a bike after 8 years and got over my injury. Amen to singletrack! Keep on brothaa yeeewhoo
BK! I said hey to you as I was driving out of the bottom of the Corral lot. I was so stoked to see you back in Tahoe man! Looks like you had a great ride! Keep inspiring and we'll keep watching and riding
Awesome to see my home again in one of your vids. Nice work clearing some of the boulders on the way down on cold creek. Some of those sections are no joke!
Dude, your footage and story telling is simply on another level.... not just 17min of descending ballzout. Great stuff... oh yea, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle move was gold too!
om bambang cikarang is here to watch your exciting video my friend...stay healthy. fun driving with wife I am happy with the very beautiful scenery, keep on working, I will follow you.
I saw that rock section @12:21 and was like, I would have to session that... Then I saw you start over and was like YEAH!! Way smoother on the second run, but I bet you could go a bit faster if you did it again. Gonna have to go do this ride just to hit that
I have hans dampf front and rear. back is getting low on tread so I will move the front to the rear and get something with more grip on the front. Great to see you back in Tahoe!
Welcome Back To The State Mr B!! I so enjoyed your UK clips and they were beyond inspiring. The views from this footage around the 8 minute mark are incredible. Keep Moving, Keep Focused, And Don't Burn That Scalp. Well Done Cheers
the area around lake tahoe is so beautiful. i love riding up there... it's been to long. great video brian. love that the gimbal flipped around as you fell :)
what a Grate trail loved it... lol ouch when you fell Over ;0) grate Live yesterday Brian enjoyd it buddy thumbs Up from Wales will have send you a welsh sticker add on your drink flask ;0)
I live in tahoe and my house is at 7000 feet and there are trails right by my house and whenever I’m riding them I only have to stop because I’m breathing so hard but my legs feel fine. I went and rode in San Diego last summer and I rode 7 miles without a break.
The Loam Ranger Got a little sample of _soroche,_ bro? lol. Gotta get used to the high altitude and low oxygen and start easy, coz the mountains will do their best to tighten up your corset!
I do a few long hauls from the UK (Thirsk near Harrogate!) to the USA every year in my profession, I’ve been to Cali a few times now, most recently in Ft Irwin, hopefully potential to get to Fallon or to Ridgecrest again but mostly I’m over in Georgia which is flat!Up in Alaska as previously mentioned in October. Friends have recommended Lake Tahoe for a vacation, so thanks for sharing. Cheers geezer
Watching this and every other vid of yours, Seth, and Alex, makes me realize that what i do is hardly considered mountain biking. I ride my local trail system over and over and over. Not to mention we're all cruising on 1,000 dollar hardtails with no dropper posts....lol. You guys all have 7g bikes tricked out with the best of everything. This has me rethinking my own description of mountain biking!
A bit different to the UK trails Brian :) Although a few more days of that unprecedented weather and it could have been just as dusty there! Glad you got to head to my home town (next to the forest of dean trails).
Great vid man, you are on a roll (pun intended). Rock sections must of felt like nothing compared to UK. Funny how the small stuff gets us more often than biggies. Glad you left that in. That water looked so good! Keep LIVIN it my man.
Brian- a vid specifically about the Sustainable Trails Coalition would be great and could generate even more interest in the cause. You have a voice. Keep it up brother
Nice, love the Tahoe area. So, I got up on TrailForks and tried to follow the actual trails. I want to see if I have this right. You start from Kingsbury grade HWY taking a south trail along the Nevada side of Heavenly Valley called TRT: Heavenly up to Monument Pass Trail, then UPPer and Lower Cold Creek. This is what I worked out. The Tahoe Rim trail is not designated in Trailforks going south from Kingsbury Grade road, so I have or if I'm correct, had some confusion on this.
Yep yep! I've got my ridelog in the description: www.trailforks.com/ridelog/view/3162241 If you open that page and then scroll down and look on the bottom right for "copy to ride plan" you can then save it and then it will be on your phone for a perfect guide.
wow awesome trail, very beautiful. Magic mary&Hans Dampf is a very good combo, but those tires are very expensive in soft compound and not so durable... I love Maxxis tires!
Awesome stuff dude, keep it up. Maybe release a video on how your technical skills / Confidence has improved riding all these terrains. How you overcame these obstacles.
where's the video of Corral? did you do the full Armstrong connector to upper and lower corral? When I worked summers at Kirwoods Bike Park we would do after work rides on Corral, including a full moon night ride without lights. (at that point I knew every turn, berm, and rock.)
Hey Brian, do u think u can do a quick video on yr gimbal setup. How u wear it, correct way to mount it. Do u increase or decrease the pan, etc... otherwise keep shredding. Thanx bro
I haven't changed my setup for a while, I have a whole video about EVO versus Feiyu and that has my setup. I don't change modes or anything. Just turn it on and go
5:50 I am fine ufhhhh,, Just my pride is there on the floor , :) been there man LOL and what was that U said iufffffff. the other guy repets it , lol that was funny man
BKXC Riding the best trails in the world.
Doing my damndest!
You’re van sickle Star lake ride might be my next trip to Tahoe if I don’t end up at northstar.
Do it!!
What I really love about this video is he is simply having a great time being honest about his riding and laughing at every corner and bump. The way mountain biking should be. Puts the viewer in the experience . . . even though I'm sitting at my kitchen island (dang it!)
Thanks Jeff!!
Looks like a fun mix of technical climbs and an equal tech descent! Keep the good stuff coming!
It was the total package!
I rode Cold Creek last month, as an out and back ride from Pioneer Trail. The section BKXC cleaned starting at 12:22 is no joke! The GoPro makes it look WAAAAAAY easier than it really is. That thing always sneaks up on me and this was the first time I friggin nailed it! SO stoked.
That Tahoe scenery never gets old. Beautiful!
Larger than life!
One of my favorite videos. The genuinity in your ride as with your emotion while you ride! You are the reason i bought a bike after 8 years and got over my injury. Amen to singletrack! Keep on brothaa yeeewhoo
Welcome back to the sport!
Lake Tahoe is like my favorite place
It's so nice
BK! I said hey to you as I was driving out of the bottom of the Corral lot. I was so stoked to see you back in Tahoe man! Looks like you had a great ride! Keep inspiring and we'll keep watching and riding
AWESOME! Thanks for saying hi dude
What a crazy variety of trail surfaces! Dirt, rocks, *alpine sand!*
Yes! Mucho diversity!
9:15 That looked like a mansized climb right there. Good effort Brian!! You may be the only person that likes technical climbing more then me.
Thanks for telling us stories while biking.
Awesome to see my home again in one of your vids. Nice work clearing some of the boulders on the way down on cold creek. Some of those sections are no joke!
Thanks dude, I've hit em a few times, this was the smoothest!
I rode a bit of Tahoe for the first time on the 7th of June. Can't wait to go back.
Hell yes!
Definitely one of the places on my "Have to ride " list. Absolutely beautiful
Hell yes!
Dude, your footage and story telling is simply on another level.... not just 17min of descending ballzout. Great stuff... oh yea, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle move was gold too!
Hahaha, on my back and struggling! Thanks Darryl
Welcome back to the States. Nice riding through some of those rock sections and switchbacks.
Thanks dude, it was intense!
What a beautiful trail! Love Tahoe area and is on the wish list!! Welcome back to North America Brian!!

Looks like a great day out
One of the best!
Wow I want to ride that trail. Absolutely beautiful
Do it!
Tahoe looks incredible. Great riding man almost making it up those stairs and down those rocks!!
Giving it a go!!
I saw that rock section @12:21 and was like, I would have to session that... Then I saw you start over and was like YEAH!! Way smoother on the second run, but I bet you could go a bit faster if you did it again. Gonna have to go do this ride just to hit that
Hell yes, always getting better on that stuff!
I have hans dampf front and rear. back is getting low on tread so I will move the front to the rear and get something with more grip on the front. Great to see you back in Tahoe!
That's a really good tactic, being able to swap the front tire to the rear!
Watching you makes me feel better about my bike handling
Welcome Back To The State Mr B!! I so enjoyed your UK clips and they were beyond inspiring. The views from this footage around the 8 minute mark are incredible. Keep Moving, Keep Focused, And Don't Burn That Scalp. Well Done
Cheers

Nice
That looked amazing Brian, great to see you had a great time.
Tons of fun!
Trails at altitude are so pretty and soooo painful to breath! Your ridding really looks good man!
Haha it's so true dude. "Why am I so tired??"
Great video. Clearing that rock section (twice) was cool!
It was such a fun challenge!

The Loam Ranger

Hahaha categorization is always a tough problem!
A bit different to the UK trails Brian :) Although a few more days of that unprecedented weather and it could have been just as dusty there! Glad you got to head to my home town (next to the forest of dean trails).
It was a good one!
Great ride, all the best from Germany
Nice shout out to the STC. Oh yeah, to avoid sunburn on the scalp get a Halo cap in white. It also controls your sweat.
Ah good call on the halo!
Nice trail with spectacular view.
I love it out there!
Man I was breathing heavy watching like I was climbing. Glad your having fun. Welcome back
Hahaha lvoe it
I wouldnt actually do this but i like looking at the track. I like the scenery.

Tahoe is looking sweet. I need to head up there.

thanks
as a fellow crew cut head I use a spray sun block on my head. The US needs to look to the Scottish model for countryside access.
That's an awesome trail 🤩 Always have a dream to go out 😪
wow awesome trail, very beautiful. Magic mary&Hans Dampf is a very good combo, but those tires are very expensive in soft compound and not so durable... I love Maxxis tires!
Yep, you're so right, the rear tire wore out QUICK
Welcome back man
Thanks Asif!
amazing place
So nice!
Awesome stuff dude, keep it up. Maybe release a video on how your technical skills / Confidence has improved riding all these terrains. How you overcame these obstacles.

Very good bicycle trail to hill climp
Those staircase sections must be a doddle after Dollywagon Pike
Hahah yep!
Would have loved to see some of those technical rock drops from third person view. They looked insane.
Yeah, they're pretty nice!
I can see now how your Hans Danpf tire got chewed up so bad with all the rocks.
Haha yep
Nice ride. Well done.
Thanks Peter!
You should ride marlette peak down to carson city it has very nice views and technical climbing and fast downhill.
Yes! I've heard good things
This video and the trail maked me happier than the game of germ vs south korean (they reserved it both of them)
That's great!
where's the video of Corral? did you do the full Armstrong connector to upper and lower corral? When I worked summers at Kirwoods Bike Park we would do after work rides on Corral, including a full moon night ride without lights. (at that point I knew every turn, berm, and rock.)
We just shuttled up one lap of Corral, no video. It was sweet
Nuggets your sessioning it fuck yeah. Love those rock boulder sections, very nice
Haha hell yeah!
Damn! Next time I go.. i'm riding that trail!!
Hell yes!
Solid stuff man I wish Singapore (my country) had trails like that.
It's great!
Alibi Ale works incline village ftw..
Sandwich at safeway before a ride is traditional locals technic. Should have taken them up on it.
So many good spots!
Sweet dude always looking for some new adventures! 🤘
Thanks!
Very good to mountain hill
Hey Brian, do u think u can do a quick video on yr gimbal setup. How u wear it, correct way to mount it. Do u increase or decrease the pan, etc... otherwise keep shredding. Thanx bro
