    So did you have to use any spacers for this setup or was the 40mm offset fine and caused no issues? I'm looking at getting 18x8 40et 18x9 40et with the same tyre sizes as yours. I'm lowered 15-20mm all round as well and just want to make sure I have no problems and don't need spacers etc. Thanks 👍

    • @edcardiy
      @edcardiy 2 года назад +1

      Hi Dan White, This set up have no spacers, I got 40mm all around, I got the same size mags 18x8 40mm & 18x9 40mm, this set up will not have any issue on lowered m235i, You can add 5mm spacers all around after to look a bit wider, but you might rub when you have passengers on your car. I have a doubt. I found advan tc-4 wheels for a very good price. But her configuration is 9j x R18 +53 all four wheels. Do you know if the BMW 235i 9j front wheels fit?

    • @edcardiy
      @edcardiy 2 года назад

      Hi there, +53 is a high offset for the 9 inch width on the front wheels, you might rub on the front suspension, You might have to install it with a 15mm or even 20mm spacers to prevent from rubbing on the inside. Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE to Help this channel grow and Thanks for watching! 🎄

    So I’m planing on keeping my car stock height (2015 M235i) when I’m looking for wheels some sights say I can’t run a 18x8 +35 that I need to stick to +45. So my question is the wheels I’m looking at are 18x8 +35 front and the back they have the option for 18x8 +40 and the second option is 18x8 +38 and 18x8 +42. All those fit a stock ride they’ll just look either flush or deep (concave rear) ?

    • @edcardiy
      @edcardiy 10 месяцев назад

      If square set up (18x8) all around, just stick to +35 offset all around, if you want wider rear (18x9) then go for higher offset than +35 to compensate for the wider rear wheels.
      if 18x8 all around then +35 on fronts & +42 on rear, it would look weird, rear wheels are way more inside inner rear fenders.

    Hi Ed hope you can help me out. I’m looking at wheels that are 18x9.5 et38 for rear and 18x8.5 et47 for front do you know if these will fit?
    I appreciate any help I’m struggling with these fitments

    • @edcardiy
      @edcardiy Год назад +1

      57veggie, It all depends if your car is lowered and the size of tires you have, I think that the 18x9.5 et38 is ok if your car is not lowered (tires may rub the fender slightly if lowered), but for the 18x8.5 et47 it may rub on your suspension (lowered or not), the offset is too high. Hope this helps you.

      The front wheels on et 38 would be better than et47 on 225/40/18 tires, for the rear 255 /35/18 tires on 18x9.5 I think would be ok.

    Why not get lower offset to avoid using spacers if needed. I have 30 offset and they fit flush

    • @edcardiy
      @edcardiy 8 месяцев назад

      That's a good idea but it also depends on the width of the wheels to prevent the rubbing, Once it rubs on the offset that is selected, there is no way to fix, unless getting a camber kit to do negative camber.
      But if getting the higher offset wheel you can select different spacer to dial in the fitting with no rubbing (spacers are much cheaper than camber kit).
