When Solomon completed building the temple they assigned Levites with different roles, the ones to wash what, the ones to sprinkle this and that, the ones to sing etc. Now the common thing is that they all ministered in the house of God. So in our time it's very true that women have been anointed before with various anointing, some were prophetess, some spoke in tongues so how do we by holiness establish harmony with what Paul is preaching. I believe Paul's emphasis is on women being submissive and to remember that the man has authority over a woman. So if holy men are there who are up to the task they should pray and teach in the church. If it is found that in their midst there is a woman with the anointing or a revelation the church should permit a woman to stand and preach with her head covered, why is her head covered just to show consideration to the men who are heads over women. He could have also referenced Joel chapter 2: “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.” Joel 2:28-29 KJV
No. The roles of elders and pastors are reserved for men. However, women can do just about everything else, and they can still certainly reach people for Jesus Christ.
Could it be that the seating in Jewish churches of that day segregated males and females? Asking their husbands questions would disrupt the service as this would mean that females would have to shout across the church to be heard. This is my understanding that women were disruptive and asked not to speak during service but wait until they got home to discuss things with their husbands. See verse 35.. Please correct me if I'm wrong😊
