It's great to see such a rich tradition so well preserved in Trinidad and Tobago. Thanks for putting together such a high quality, beautifully narrated video. The dishes are mouthwatering. Takes me way back. We had all these sweets growing up. But I had no idea how they were prepared.

Wow, I am blown away by this video. How I miss out on so much of my culture by leaving Trinidad when I was like only 8 years old. I would give anything to go back. Such beautiful video of the celebration of Diwali. Thank you for the educational piece that was the most important part. You did an awesome job explaining it and it was well received. Miss my beautiful people and the richness of the culture, religion and way of life.

Looks like a fantastic celebration! Loved the video, Reshmi! Quality over quantity! :) can’t wait to see more videos from you! ❤️
Thank you Romi! Hope you had a great first Divali with your princess. Is it similar to how you celebrate back in Fiji?
@@TasteofTrini Thank you! Our Diwali was quiet this year. It was so windy that we really couldn't do much. But we had a good time with family. My daughter loves spending time with the extended family. This is very much like how we celebrated in Fiji, minus the rangoli. I didn't start making those until I moved here.... How was the weather there in NY?

Wonderful to see how Divali is celebrated in the big city. Nice to see the Hindu tradition being kept alive. Are the store owners mostly from India.
Thank you for watching Kavita! Most of the stores in my area are run by West Indians. The one selling the sweets is one of the few owned by East Indians.
