Recently leased the trace camera for our team. I have had the veo and veo 2 in the past as well. The features of the software for trace seem to be better value for money but there are so many bugs in the software I am reaching out to tech almost every day. One thing to be aware of with trace is that even if you upgrade to the family pro account you cannot download the full game unless you have 7 family members subscribe which seems unfair if the rest of your team does not want to pay the $300/year fee. Something I didn't realize until after 2 weeks of recording. Video quality is much worse on the trace vs Veo and not very good in light or with the video stitching of the 3 cameras. We like the automated player highlights for each player, but not being able to download for personal archives is very disappointing.

Thanks for doing this. Do you have a video comparison? we are currently using Trace but I'm not sure how the quality compared to other camera. We are doing highlights of the players and a lot of times, the players are unrecognizable and blurry when we try to zoom in. Hope you can do a video quality comparison soon.

Hi Sand, I'm switching over my Trace to PlayerFocus once my annual plan expires. From what I understand, you keep the same hardware but are setup under a different subscription model. My current Trace camera doesn't livestream so it doesn't seem like the new PlayerFocus plan will either but I'll be able to confirm soon.
I spoke with a trace sales rep, they said there is no streaming capability with trace and he was unaware of a plan to add that feature in the future. Too bad, would be a no brainer if it could stream.
Hi Ben. Our club recently purchased a Veo 2 but it does not pick up any background sound. I have made contact with the folks at Veo but no luck. Perhaps any thoughts on how I can correct this?

Wow, next time you might want to find out what the pain points are of filming sports is and make the video on that. I can not believe anyone cares about the case or how it powers on. Video quality, tracking ability, subscription fees. Those are the basics.

Yeah, Trace sucks, You won't get the game video 50% of the time.

Our club decided to use Trace. The video quality is bad. Trace keeps failing to record the games. We are so upset we (parents) are paying for this.
