    I'm an intermediate English learner.
    This video teaches me 'repetition is the key. so I watch and learn this again and again. Would you mind if I ask you a question?
    timing = 7:56.
    'Exactly! I felt like a fish on a bicycle, trying to give love advice.' In this sentence what implies the phrase 'a fish on a bicycle'? I referred the dictionary but I can't find the implication/connotation. we also have phrase concerning fish in our indigenous country. 'carp on cutting board' this phrase means that carp is a vigorous fish but once on a cutting board, it become quiet as if realized its doom, and this derives connotations it'd good for human to be like this also.

      Of course, I'd be happy to help! Repetition is indeed a valuable way to learn. In the sentence, "Exactly! I felt like a fish on a bicycle, trying to give love advice," the phrase "a fish on a bicycle" is used to describe a feeling of being out of place or awkward, similar to how a fish would feel if it were placed on a bicycle. It implies a sense of being unfamiliar or uncomfortable in a situation.
      I find it interesting that you have a similar phrase in your indigenous country, "carp on cutting board," which carries a similar idea of feeling subdued or realizing a challenging situation. Both phrases use imagery to convey the concept of being in an unexpected or uncomfortable circumstance.
      Feel free to ask your question-I'm here to help!

      Thank you for your quick response. I would agree with former half of your polite explanations about 'a fish on a bicycle'. I'm sorry, I'm going to explain our indigenous meaning about 'carp on cutting board'.
      This phrase means having noble/decisive mind, even in the face of one's death, wouldn't dare/stick to life and receive one's death.

    But seriously, it's strange being a love guru when my relationship status is a meme.
    This phrase, I can't grasp the connotation/implication fully. I would like you to curate another expression.
    I've been having a thought that proverb/parable might be similar with in every country over the world, but I've noticed the existence of different phrase/proverb not having similar meaning in our indigenous language.
    You are great to struggle to have taught us.

    yeah, until you realize you have to finish the whole tub alone.
    This phrase, I can't grasp the connotation/implication fully because of the word 'tub'. Would it be substituted by the word 'cup' or any other? It would be too large to finish even with other's help for any purpose (especially for ice cream), I suppose.

    I suppose this sentence would mean the following.
    Remember, doctors don't need to experience the disease to cure it.
    It would take some for me time to comprehend the native English speaker's expression, but I would try to comprehend.

    This phrase I can grasp the meaning, so I've searched the phrase of similar meaning in our indigenous language.
    but I can't find anything. the reason might be our ancestors wouldn't try to express such ridiculous stuff not to be laughed by their descendants. You are great to struggle to have taught us than our ancestors.
