Red Eagle, basically a lease operator building a fleet on Werner’s authority. Werner tries pawning off young inexperienced drivers to them and a few other of these “fleets” right away basically with the promise of making a little bit more money. They tried that with me a few month into the start of my career with a fleet called Red Hawg Express. Guy basically had junk former Werner trucks and I was in a brand new Freightliner. Wasn’t a difficult decision for me.

I empathize with what you went through. I've only been driving 4 years but I always back slowly and get out and look. There have been a few times that I thanked God that I got out and looked because it would have been an unnecessary disaster. I've got nothing to prove to anyone but myself that I can do my job and get home safely. Other drivers have had to wait a little bit while I've backed into spaces but, tough, I've waited for some slow drivers too.
I have more respect for slow backing and G.O.A.L. I know drivers have watched me back slowly and have probably had more respect for me because I got out a few times and looked. There have been plenty of times when I've tried a few too many times, given up and moved on to another spot just so I don't have an accident. The old adage, "Live to back (fight) another day."
That looks like one of my favorite truck stops in SLC, SAPP Bros. Is that right, Dave?

Most Werner drivers are never taught to drive, they hold steering wheel for 4 to 8 weeks while their trainer is sleeping in the back, then they get released out as a solo driver. Most of them never figure out how to be a safe driver, get in an accident or two, or three, and get fired... over 90% of their drivers never get past their 1 year mark as a driver and they quit.

Dat Boi Frazier you can't be serious! THE POINT IS..GET OUT AND LOOK!!! It's a brand new truck, stupid. Even any truck, doesn't matter. Damage is damage. If you have a brain, small cracks grow larger if not fixed promptly , and fixed correctly. Seriously , dude, you can't be that stupid? Really?
