  • "Blood Money" is the first official single from Protoje's (@Protoje) forthcoming fourth full length album "A Matter Of Time" to be released June 29, 2018.
The politically- charged single provides hard-hitting, raw, unapologetic commentary on the current state of Jamaica, addressing several recent social injustices that have afflicted the society. Protoje describes the air of discrimination, classism, and oppression prevalent in the Jamaican socio-economic and political landscape, calling out corrupt practices, and issuing a call for change and accountability.
“Blood Money ” will be available May 18, 2018, as an instant track with the pre-order of the album A Matter Of Time. moremusic.at/AM...

Conah Dalton; you say that, but you don't get my point. With the current state of reggae/dancehall, there is almost no militancy with regards to honesty in the music and speaking out against injustice and corruption. The message being conveyed in this song is one they would have been proud of, in my humble opinion. You, of course, are entitled to your own. I realize that you thought I was comparing a DJ to two legendary singers.

Kingly & queenly This my understanding we Are as beautiful black people what Ever the shade maybe !from the very start of creation. This is my feeling anyway. we must never forget nor conform to the negative stereotypes set in place only to make us fail distract us from the true knowledge that we are limitless! and more than capable of succeeding at any level if we our self only choose in reality we are unstoppable . No changing the real Heart an true nature of us ! Four hundred years is proof of our resilience too any oppressive negativity placed and put before us ! In Love and better understanding we move forward and stand tall As we are simply representatives of that strength and and spirit ! In my opinion. We carry within our hearts ! So we continue .

I Am Never Ashamed of My Heritage it being a problem only for others ! As it too me is evident! of What is possible in The understanding of one another That meaning Love is the catalyst for change . And I believe with my heart it over come any obstacles Any division set as Nothing All is impossible in actuality in Jah/ God if we Are of the same mind ! I don't wish to take Anything from anyone there being the Real difference! It's to me is about what one gives of ya self simply. that too me is what I think and feel ! In a greater sense. that is what is important in the long run.

how is this song not number 1 on all billboard charts in Jamaica? Could it be that the youths too busy wining up themselves to stupid songs when a potent song like this gets lost in the vaults of the pay to play music "system "?
