Thank you so much I like it a lot when people give advice and opinion. So I can actually get better. I had like 3hrs of rambling about every part of this car I wasn’t sure if people would like it so I cut it down heaps will make changes in the future
🔥🔥🔥🔥 build , first video I've seen of yours bout to look at more would love to know the engine n trans setup internals stock modified ECT. I love the car n engine choice
stock internals normal barra things oil pimp gears and valve springs. i put my own twist on everthing with the motor a lot of small things that i did to make the motor last in the heavy stresses of a drift engine tuned in the same way very carefully and not just about making power. the gearbox is a 4 speed dog box used to use them in nascar before they switched to sequential. h pattern but i can shift without the clutch
@@MrDaniel14 Pretty cool car ..... im not a barra guy but it sounds cool Maybe you could do a video of how much it costs to build a budget pro car . Just parts costs and an estimate of how of your own time you put into it Im familiar with pro cars ranging from about 100k onwards and skys the limit but everyones definition of budget its different
this car i originally had a 850hp 410 sprint car engine for it. Then I realized if it blew i couldn't afford to replace or fix it mid season so went to the cheapest engine that made the most hp @@Yernaritsbarry
Dang, looks like one hell of a car. Very simply set up, but has all the right nice stuff. It'd be nice to have RPM on the dyno chart though. You say "spools at 2000rpm" but I'm not sure that's possible on a 35R without rocket antilag or something crazy.
These were old videos don’t really need to hook up rpm on dyno because have it on the laptop. This motor is high comp on e85 4 liter engine with duel vct. A 35r come standard on them. People normally run g42 on these engines. Essentially I’m saying this turbo is very small for a barra
@@MrDaniel14 I come from 2.5L rb land, so pretty different. Just didn't think it'd be that different. Seems like there's a trade-off in revs? You can rev the snot out of an rb, but not so much on a barra? We probably just need more barras (everywhere)
@@ho6b9s this is the 3rd car this turbo was on first was a 700hp sr20vet at 40psi then built rb25 at 28psi now i put it on this 🤣 built engine will probs rev it to around 7000rpm . but people are de-stroking and dry sumping them and making them rev to 9k. this would be the ultimate goal for this car
@@ho6b9s even though you "rev the snot out of an rb you still most the time have a smaller powerband window most rbs unless mentally build are either full noise or lagging
Man I wish so much we had some kind of easy source of getting Barra’s in US, I never liked the OHV v8s don’t care who made them they just symbolize old shit to me. The few DOHC v8s I like very much, but they are rare expensive and non turbo, the barra is the perfect mix of new turbo tech and old tough iron block, it’s perfect in my book!
there's a lot of barras getting shipped out going all across the world. when The USA guys started importing them the price came up very quickly. but yes I agree with you great have a old school 6cyl with a modern head.
@transient442 if I was. I wouldn't make that claim would I? They sound better than rb stock. Even with just exhaust rb still sound like ass. They'd need at least a turbo and full exhaust upgrade or pair those along with an intake manifold upgrade to sound good. Barra doesn't need much to sound better.
@@Drift-Tastik Hate to break it to you but no NA 6 cylinder sounds good. So comparing NA motors is pointless. An rb20det with just an exhaust and manifold sounds better than most barra's out there. I hear barra's on a daily basis and they do absolutely nothing for me.
@@nomeru_0 I have to clarify. I meant the turbo barra. Not any of the NA versions. The natural aspirations ones sound like doodoo you're correct on that
Build breakdowns and car reviews always do well on RUclips. You could even go more in depth on this car. This video was a great watch

@@MrDaniel14ramble all you want dude. This is awesome 🤩
Definitely has a better exhaust note than most Barra builds.
Well done!
So cool. I’d love to know how the gearbox/clutch/bell housing all works. Impressive!
Mate amazing job you have done with this car, you deserve so many more views!
More of this car please 🙏🏽
get this one trending for him
This car is the bloody dream
mad and indepth - props for the DIY build
Finally started it, totally loooveeee it!!!👌🏻
Can't wait for the next episode! 🙏😻
Thank you
Damn that barra did sound good
Thank you
The white looks good ❤
the rubber marks are insane to try keep off
That is the only decent sounding barra i have ever heard that alloy exhaust was definitely the way to go
thank you but I'll have to do something with it to make it stronger maybe some thicker wall alloy to withstand the heat of the anti lag
Hopefully that doesn't change the sound too much it sound amazing as it is what made you try the alloy?
Excellent build quality with alot of well thought out mods mate 👌
Really enjoyed the run down, great vid 🤙
Thank you man. It’s great to get such good feedback from it
Maaaaan, the white looks so good!
It does but it’s too hard to keep clean 😂
Great work, love it!
Hey bro I'll love 2 c more building ay love Ur work especially barra 180 ..go hard full speed no brakes take care ...
No worries I’ll try to do some work this year
nice build i have just completed a e90 bmw with a fg turbo motor in it but mine is a street car can't wait to see yours on the track cheers glenn
Unsure next time this car will go out spending all my time in Japan driving 2nd s15

In that car it must really jump and just keep going nice work😮

Dude i so wanna Barra swap my fird ranger work truck its even got the Utility camper on it to store tools it would be the ultimate sleeper truck
do it especially if you live in Australia engines and parts are everywhere
S14 SR20DET Manual ADM, S15 SR20DET Manual Diff Ratio is 3.692

They are not the stronger gear sets out of the gtr different pitch of teeth
Was this the pro car that got shipped to Japan that was a baby blue colour?
Blue car got shipped pre Covid. Was supposed to start competing back then. But this car is in the waiting if it has to go somewhere
Yes 2 separate cars. Blue cars clapped and needs rebuild

Hey where did you get g101a dogbox from .. did you get it from America or Australia
G101a was supplied from Zoo performance in Australia
Good old QR tyre barriers those things are going to kill someone one day
i got told they took them away.. havent been there in over 1.5years
thank god qr don't have tyre barriers anymore
i wasn't too impressed having a barrier on the clip. they moved it off the track after i hit it.
