    We are just in the planning stage of building a little house on my wife's family's land in Toyohashi.
    Once it's done and I finally retire we intend to spend three months of the year there.
    We'll almost be neighbours LOL. It's walking distance to the station so pretty handy.

    I love the video. It is basic and straightforward. I would add that some areas have specific rules and the cost of land but it is good without it too.

    If can’t get a long stay visa , how to take care of this house if buy it ?

      That is the problem. I would get the visa first then look for a place.

      @ don’t you think that the government gives a year renewable visa for people who buy these houses? because they have a reason of stay over there .

    Hi, would it be a problem if the Akiya house is left vacant from time to time after purchase due to lack of long-stay visa..?I just want a vacation home

      Not sure it depends on how long it is vacant for. I think it would depend on where it is. If it’s in a town or in the mountains.
