Mary Magdalene was a supporter of Jesus and his followers, and may have had considerable financial means to do so. Many were (are) suspicious of her "involvement" with Jesus. Was Mary Magdalene a "loose woman"? Personally, I think she was a woman similar perhaps to Amarapali. We could do well to leave judgement outside, and focus on the moral lessons that both stories contain. Peace.

The only "morality" in the story is in the judgements of the other monks. I find it strange that you might think that the monk in question acted morally apart from respecting the woman as the Buddha indicated.
The immoral of the story is that Jesus saves you from his original plan which was to send you to the eternal hellfire damnation that He so lovingly created.
