Save The Forests in Philippines: You Can Help To Plant a Tree!

Bukidnon, Philippines, has lost the majority of its primary forest cover. Before, forests covered 70 per cent of the country. Now, that number has plummeted to less than 2 per cent. Non-profit organisation Hineleban Foundation is on a mission to reforest the area’s buffer zones. And the best way to do it, is to collaborate with the indigenous communities living in the region.
By encouraging the locals to take more ownership of their areas, the foundation’s reforestation efforts have been successful. Today, more than 3 million trees have been planted.
But more can be done. Do your part and help plant a tree!
