You fool, I have over 3500 hours in this game, I KNEW ALL OF THESE, but btw 5:18 this block appeared to me ONCE bc i removed an addon from that world which added a few different blocks, so that’s how you really get the unknown block
4:42 I found out about those update blocks when I programmed mods with custom blocks for Minecraft PE as a kid. I disabled the mod, loaded the world, and there they were.
There was this really old glitch from back before pocket addition became bedrock where for some strange reason a normal world would generate on top of a flat world excluding previously explored chunks with the bedrock spawning at Y=4 directly on top of the flat world giving you 2 layers of bedrock one from the glitched world and one from the flat world, your world would look like a regular “infinite” world but with a giant hole at spawn where your previously explored and unaffected flat world chunks are, this is one of Minecraft’s strangest glitches
I remember this happening to my flat world, this really upset me and I and tried to flatten the world manually. I don't think there were commands on that version, and if there were I didn't even know what commands were. Otherwise maybe a /fill could save that world.
Slabs not being differentiated by their "block metadata" alone anymore essentially means that every slab is a seperate item now there's no longer just one single 'slab' which also lets the wooden slab not share the 'slab"s property of not being flammable
5:45 another thing about invisible bedrock is that there was a bug where if you flew high enough you could go over the border in old worlds and be In the void
I remember when a 1.15 snapshot came out which added crystalized honey and crystalized honey block that looks like harvested wax block or yellow tuff that have no functionality.
I remeber making nether reactor in pocket edition, and when some time passed by, they added nether portal, I was so excited to finally see it coming to pocket edition. Also I don't really remember, but these "update" blocks were in pocket editon, I remember using real mods on pocket edition (there was like special launcher) and then they appeared
I was there when nether reactor and red glowing obsidian ( whatever the name is ) still exist. I use my first samsung galaxy note for playing them. I was in a junior high school. Minecraft pocket edition still have very small size of world. I wish Minecraft would implement some of this mechanic in the future... Probably as a vertical progression. I am tired fighting only enderdragon and wither.
Most of those bedrock edition blocks still exist in the game code, so you can get them, but you need something like an addon to access them, by making them a drop loot, villager trade, or crafting recipe, I know this cuz I’ve done it, and even if you disable the addon you still have the block, but things like the nether reactor core have lost their functionality -CookieMage#13/27(the red one)
i actually knew most of these blocks and i even remember when the stonecutter was still in the PE creative inventory also, i believe that there was a 4 sided log texture block obtainable through commands before 1.14 and then was officially added in 1.14 (and i think the shrub used to be green in way earlier versions. (unless thats a different block(which was obtainable through one of them chests with every block from earlier versions(might have been called the bush(was still changed to dead bush tho))))
You forgot about Wax Block from 1.15 snapshots (bee update) This is the weirdest one, since i don't know why it was removed in the first place, it fits the update
I actually encountered the unknown block An easy way you can get it is by having add ons in your world, and then removing them afterwards. I found this out by accident, when I was going back into my world, but I didn't add back my add ons. (Btw, I knew all of these, I am a true minecrafter)
the only one i didnt know very much was the question mark update block specificly. not the one with the update text. it looked kinda farmilliar but most of the time it isnt included in these videos
Yes I do know every block that has ever been in the hit game commonly know as Minecraft the order of the stone, like Idk…back when they added coral to a bedrock preview there was only one type of dead coral until they updated it weeks later
That generic coral block was actually one I was considering mentioning! I eventually decided not to because it was pretty boring compared to most of the other blocks, might talk about it if I make a part 2 to this video
@@MrWaffle739 You can get most of these Bedrock unused blocks by hacks! Though, some of them don't have functionality anymore (for example the Nether Reactor Core)
If i know all of those, am i a true og. Noone even talks about invisible bedrock. But i knew it existed. I was a playing minecraft pe. I was using blocklaucher with an inventory editor. Thats the day i found a block not even commands can break.
We never forgot about these, instead, we glitched them into realms using horion client 2 - 3 years back. I bet you don’t know of the “movingblock” block eh? That caused some issues, let’s just say in the community a while back.
i actualy did know of them all well almost i denent know the missint block one had a texture update to a ? but douse that count as it is still the same block.
everybody knows these, if you want something interesting, go over the cut content in the game files from earlier periods of minecraft (i.e. colored planks, cameras, etc.)
Lol yeah that’s just my playtime in prism launcher on my main pc, I have no idea what that would be if I could see my lifetime playtime across all platforms

Glowing obsidian could’ve been a cool rare block that had the perfect opportunity to return in the nether update
I have it in my mc world

This was my favorite glitch from back in the day, thanks for reminding me of it!!
You can sorta recreate it in java by messing with your world folders, wonder if you could do the same on bedrock
Danng i remember that update block. I used to have a bunch of those but they all turned into cauldrons
lol
dropped the funeral plans immediately when i saw this banger in my inbox

im pretty sure the first one is a minor so even worse 💀💀💀💀💀💀
one of my friends has a SUPER super old PE world that is absolutely littered with the old stonecutters
I remember playing some version of legacy ps3 minecraft, and the coop to the left of the castle used petrified slabs for the shade thing
0:09 unfortunately all of my personality is minecraft so I knew them all

not him missing crying obsidian which was added later in 1.16 💀
5:45 another thing about invisible bedrock is that there was a bug where if you flew high enough you could go over the border in old worlds and be In the void
Man i feel so old
I knew all these except “cloth” which is basically just wool
the only new things to me is the unknown block and the new texture of info_update
Even got a sponsor! that’s great
Fun fact: You can still get glowing obsidian & the nether reactor core as items.
I remember the shrub, I could recall seeing it in the creative item select and I thought it was just some Mandela affect 😭
HA I KNEW ABOUT ALL OF THESE
Wow you're so cool 😐
Wow even the Raycon earbud block?
@@MrWaffle739 yessir that’s my favorite obscure block
2:40 In Minecraft Legacy Console Edition you can get them from the creative inventory and they have a different texture also
One of my earliest Minecraft memories was my looking up from the surface at my floating nether core house (it looked so ‘cool’)
And when the world needed him most, the Waffler returned!
holy crap I wasn't expecting you to be here
Why does this video have only 500 views? You deserve more 💯 W vid
Thanks, I appreciate it!
oml i didnt even realize that
this seems like the type of video to have like 50k views or some shit wow. you deserve more MrWaffle
@@PaperBaggy we might get there! The views are steadily going up so we’ll see, but thank you for the support!

4:44 Also, the update! block would show in MCPE if you played on a server with new blocks that your version doesn't support :)

I remeber finding the update block or something similar on one of the downloadable worlds after digging underground
I knew all of these except for the weird wool/cloth colors, so I think I got a pretty high score lol!

I knew them since I briefly modded Pocket Edition in 2016.

3:14 I am actually the one who first wrote about the history of the shrub on bedrock edition lol
You should make a video about unimplemented blocks, like the coloured wood planks, or the wax block!
The red obsidian block can be seen on few maps on the marketplace on bedrock. The dirt block with green text can be seen on some bedrock servers.
Huh, interesting! I don’t play much bedrock edition tbh so I had never seen them before

Glowing obsidian still exists in bedrock edition and its mineable you can see it in 2b2t (mcpe version)

Thank you!
Fascinating
Still have a world with a nether reactor core on
I am the biggest fan of the Nether Reactor Core. Why can't they add it back at least for decoration...
