Thank you so much! Comments like that are very encouraging. Outside of a couple of characters I have a personal love for, the ones I choose to make are those that haven't really hit home yet in mugen, or are beloved but were never made at all.
Honestly, I've been itching to have MUGEN characters in the sprite artstyles of KOF, Street Fighter 3, or earlier Guilty Gear for a while. Might take a ton of work and probably necessitates studying the actual sprite artstyle a ton but it could defs pay off in the end.
Can you help me with editing existing sprites? I'm trying to change the face/head of existing characters but I'm having issues with it. For example, let's say you've got Scorpion from MK but changing his head to another object
you'd have to import those sprites into a sprite making program (like photoshop) but place the object over the head, save it and reimport the file to fighter factory. If it's for Mugen 1.0, make sure you're using the same existing colors of the spritesheet. If you use colors outside of what the character already has, you'll need to use Mugen 1.1 so the new colors don't make everything go out of whack.
@@artyparty8166 No but if you look up sprite making programs on youtube you'll find tons of them. I also found this. Someone posted it on mugenarchive for someone with the same question. lospec.com/pixel-art-software-list/
@@PulloffPrime 3d no, i try to say drawn with a higher pixel density to make the character drawings more HD as if it were a normal drawing, see an example of the 2d fighting game "Skulgirls".
An existing character I wouldn't charge because that would be copyright infringement. However an original character would run you about $30-50 an hour for a full-fledged 2d character, not including the code.
Old Mugen Creator here and I loved that someone finally made an Auron for mugen. Looking forward to seeing more from you your stuff is great.

I've seen a couple of them. I know Kratos was made in the style of KOF... last year, I think it was.

Bro, is it possible to make "Skullgirls" style character designs without using pixels?
without pixels? So, do you mean in 3d? Or do you mean hand drawing and importing it to a computer?

@@StephanieHarper oh ok. Yea sure it's possible. I mean Skullgirls exists. Someone had to draw them.
Bro how much would you charge to design a character?
