I like Scottie and been rooting for him since his draft. He’s got great potential but I’d Like to see him get with Kawhi’s skills trainers and shooting coach or a Rob Fodor/Mike Dunn/Drew Hanlen. He looks like he’s stuck between a more passive like Giannis-Kawhi hybrid (Patrick Williams also has this archetype) and needs to develop a better pull-up, set shot, and off dribble shooting form and smoother mid post footwork game. He’s playing off of size and athleticism but taking that next step or two in skill is necessary to truly be elite. Kawhi also benefited from the incredible Spurs development and I don’t know if Toronto has the same development team working with him. He may need to rebuild his jump shot from three (using the one motion shot form, 60 to 90 degree elbow bend, shot path from right thigh to hand above right eyebrow and keeping his shooting elbow in alignment like a Chris Mullin/Allan Houston/Rashard Lewis/Kawhi bigger forward three point threat with big hands) and midrange form (same but slightly higher set point above forehead to minimize power and maximize arc with a very brief pause at the apex similar to Kyrie/KD/Brandon Roy/Derozan) through a whole off-season to truly be what he can be. TLDR: needs improved post footwork/shooting form
Deanthony Melton very underrated player. Guy is an absolute stud on defence, shoots high percentage on catch and shoots and is craftier with the ball than he gets credit for

@@joepal843 scottie's bully ball is very effective, his shot is getting smoother too. i don't expect him to be a magic johnson/KD hybrid this year, he's young and still learning
What I wish Scottie would work on is when to attack/punish the switch defense. @9:24 9:24 First he needs to be watching for the switch and identify it (like a QB identifying the coverage before the snap) There is a moment where the switch is vulnerable when the switch-off takes place. They are both guarding the same man for a split second. Scottie needs to identify this and probe to see if he can gain a miscommunication on the defense and create an advantage for his team in the half-quart. This is what we need come playoff time. Instead… 9:25 he meanders with no intention and not testing the defense at all. He needs to use this time to work on this type of PG skill. Reps on reps of half court reactionary/advantage plays. Reading defense and reacting/adjusting. That is what will take him to the next level.
