We actually now LIVE in the path of totality for the eclipse here in AR. We bought a 50 acre farm and are building our dream home while living in an RV with 3 kids.🤪😆 My family is here visiting to see the eclipse with us.💜
As far as an act of kindness..our new neighbor (she actually owned the land that we bought) is a really kind widow. This past winter we got an extremely deep freeze and experienced temperatures we were not at all prepared for..and neither was our RV. Everything froze up. No water. Couldn’t keep it warm. Awful. She invited us (rather insisted😆🙊) we come stay with her til things thawed out. We had the best time. She now loves our family and we love her too. We essentially gained another family member through a trial and kindness. It’s been a beautiful thing for our family.🥹🫶🏻

I'm the office manager for a high-end dental practice. I say high-end because of the quality of service and we always great each patient that walks through the door, by their name. Even the new patients. We greet them by saying, "You must be... so nice to meet you!" Seeing a dentist is stressful enough. If we can make someone feel welcomed, it eases their minds.

I actually love deep rose and mauvey pink tones, especially with cherry or mahogany furniture. Color choice is so personal. Everyone should choose colors that make them feel good.

Thank you so much... She loved my videos and would text me right after I posted and tell me she watched and then we would laugh about something like my dirty feet or something rude people might say. She taught me that no matter what you do someone is going to not like it, so you might as well do what you love and tune the other stuff out. She also instilled in me as a young girl that I am not always going to get it right the first time, embrace your mistakes and grow.
This year I had to fly back home to California for a family emergency and I could not leave my nursing daughter with my husband who's in the military and he couldn't come with me. So I was traveling alone with my 5 month old and I took her stroller, car seat and infant car seat base along with a large suitcase and diaper bag. My hands were so full but I was doing my best. I remember gate checking all my belongings and when I got to my destination I was super overwhelmed cause I had so much to carry and I was in the way of other passengers exiting into the airport on a skinny ramp. Everyone passed me as I was setting up my daughter's stroller with one hand cause I was carrying her and she couldn't even stand or sit by herself yet. The pilot came off the plane and offered to help me, he was so so kind and he also held my daughter while I made sure I had everything. It really made my day. I was flying Delta. Kudos to people who step up and go beyond!!
Oh and idk if this counts but my favorite 7th grade math teacher who went above and beyond. Mrs Macyel thank you for spending every lunch period reteaching me as I was slow at copying notes cause I needed glasses and was embarrassed cause my family couldn't afford them. I thought I was stupid and you believed in me. That year I got my very 1st honor roll. I still remember you showing up to the ceremony and giving me a thumbs up and your proud face 🥹

I'm in the SE part of Michigan so I will be able to go out with my son. We bought the glasses to watch the eclipse safely. My husband bought extras for some of his coworkers if they didn't have them. I'm hoping that the weather holds out for us. It so nice to hear of kind acts by others. I lost my mother n law 10 years ago and the 3 years later almost to the day I lost my mother. Both passed in December (both have birthdays in December) just days apart and from the same disease. My kids are no longer fans of Christmas time because of this. They are older (21 &17) but grandmas are the best. It's still heart breaking to not have my mom around but we celebrate and make things she loved. ❤
I totally agree. My mom was the only grandmother my kids had in their life. My husbands family has not been in our children's lives for over 8 years. We just have very different values. My mom was like 5 grandmas in 1 and the kids loved her so much. It will never be the same without her.

Purple tones are my go to for spring. My whole bathroom, living room and bed are all shades of lavender and hints of light purple.

A dear friend of mine owned a restaurant and she and her sister own beautiful cabins now, and she is the *best* at hospitality. Friendly, warm, outgoing, always getting a drink in your hand and food in front of you and fun conversation. She works hard while still being fully present. Truly a skill and gift! I love your house and garden, you've got a beautiful, magnificent place and I get your very house pround, me too, I love a clean, fresh smelling place. I miss not having a garden, used to when lived with my mum and dad, always in the garden working. I love pop corn, always get it at cinema, has to be medium sweet for me. Me too, hate the colour pink, give me blue or black or red any day. I look forward as always Lauren to your next video. Oh when I lived with my family and had that garden was always getting wild cats in our garden, my mum (god rest her soul - RIP), never could put whiskers out for our cat Mindy as others would come in, used to always put the food in doors, our cat eventually Lauren stayed in doors. The best hospitality I can remember, and we don't get out that much, granted, but they gave us a package of Lindt dark chocolates when they found out we were staying for our honeymoon. I still think of that every time I buy those.

Hi Lauren, I am 63 years old. I traveled often with my kids. I always lived my life trying to make a difference in someone’s life every day even if it was in a small way. Now my kids are grown & married and I see them doing the same thing and it makes me so happy❤️
My mom's birthday was the 6th of April i lost her 16 years ago i miss her every day. She was and is my best friend.❤
I buy all my popcorn from the Amish. I also buy all my seasonings, flours, sugars and cacao powder and jams . They are the best ones. We have some communities here in Tennessee but we visit Ohio quite often and they have the largest community there in Berlin, Holmes county . It is the most beautiful place I have seen and is gorgeous in the fall.

When my father was ill a year ago and my mom was staying at the hotel next to the hospial to be close to him. The owner put my mom's name in her cell and the hotel and gave us her cell phone) said if you come back here, text me, I will put you up in my hotel (she owned it) and make sure you are taken care of. She said that means if you need a break from the hospital, I will give you a room to take a nap in it. She has always checked in on my parents (til this day) to making sure that they are alright. She told the other co-owner of the hotel make sure she is taken care of. I felt so much safer knowing that my parents are taken care of, it was a surprised admit to the hospital. I joined them, it is so true that you never know what someone is going through. That simple kindness and calls showed how much she cares as a person. It is important to her that her employees do the same she said. She is a part of our family.
That is incredible. I love when people take the care and consideration of others serious.

Hi Lauren. You asked about the hospitality experience we never forgot. Back in the 90's my husband and I used to stay at a hotel in Clearwater Beach Florida, (unfortunately long gone now) once a year, for about 5 years. After the first time we were there, the pool bartender who had a great personality, not only welcomed us back, but remembered our names and what we liked to drink at the pool. He would take the time to ask us about what was new, and really made us feel like we were back to a second home. We never forgot him! I do love pink, LOL! But also, the blues and greens you love. The blue hydrangeas look great! 😊

I used to babysit when I was a teenager. My goal was to always make sure the kids were happy, fed, in bed and the house was clean. Even 16 year old me cleaned well enough that when I was a summer babysitter, they paid me extra to clean their house. And then later when their kids were older I got a job just cleaning the house. Lol

Here in this part of New Jersey we will get about 90% of the eclipse. We had a small earthquake nothing like what you get in California. It was just very unusual. My house shook for about 15 seconds, no damage. I’m always amazed at how much you get done in a day. I raised 4 boys and a girl. There was always so much laundry and cleaning. I have my husbands ashes in a blue container too. Love watching your videos
I taught all of my children to do the laundry 🧺🧺🧺🧺 themselves! They each have a laundry bag that was identifiable by there favorite color. Once they had a full bag they knew to pull it down stairs to the laundry 🧺 room! The older ones help the younger ones the older kids through the laundry bags over the banister . They become very capable and very mature while they grew up!

My granddaughter has stage 4 cancer in her uterus, lungs and lymph nodes, she is barely 20 years old and is having a complete hysterectomy and lympodectomy tomorrow during the eclipse. We will be able to see the full eclipse here in Michigan, her surgery is in Chicago, it's the only hospital that can handle her cancer, it's the rarest form of uterine cancer.
So sorry - prayers for her, you, and your family.

Our entryway is colordrenched a terracotta pink and our dinining room is about to be painted a beautiful pink as well. 🤣 BUT I have been gravitating towards the lavender color as well. I graduated from a small town and every early out there was this Chinese place that was kind of our hang out spot but for sure our favorite Chinese spot! For years after myself, husband and kiddos would go there often until we moved. It had been over a year before we got there again and once we sat down they came over to our table and handed me my sunglasses and a picture of my son we had left their the last time we visited. That was over 10 years ago now but still a favorite thought that pops up from time to time!

I'm not a huge lover of pink either.. it has its place in nature and i do prefer it over red around valentines day... but most of the time, my pink has to have a hint of coral in it!
