About Me:
Welcome to my channel! In addition to making flipbooks, I am a stop-motion animator and worked on the movies ParaNorman, The Boxtrolls, Kubo and the Two Strings, Missing Link, and Chicken Run Dawn of the Nugget. I fell in love with animation as a kid and have been doing it ever since.

Mrs. Caldwell is my grandma! Fun Fact: She has 6-ish cats and she had to shut them in a bedroom to keep them from interrupting 😂
wow!😮😊😊❤
Wow
Actually
Fr?
Really?!
I love Mrs. Caldwell!! She was my first grade teacher… we had lots of “snowball fights” with crumpled up papers when we needed to get some energy out and have some fun!
I remember visiting with her while I was in highschool and we talked about a poetry magezine I was editing for the highschool, she asked for a copy of all of my poems to keep for herself! She’s such a kind and warm person, and a great neighborhood friend;)
OMG paper snowball fights!!! I'm doing that next time the kids go feral!!!
yup
WOW You had his teacher
Amazing
@@JoshuaNagel536YEAH LIKE WOW
You can tell that he reverted back to a 6th grader just super excited to show his teacher what he created! This was so wholesome to see!
I love how one lesson from one teacher inspired you to inspire more than 4 million people!
...and I love how she now knows how she indirectly inspired more than 4 million people to love flipbooks!
And i am am one of them!
The collab we never expected, but we got it.
True
And im happy of that.
@Shane the cat gamer cat empire mapping It's not a collab
@The Artistic Llama We didn't really need it
But we got it
Not saying it as a bad thing though.
I would have said it’s one we never knew we needed, but got anyway. It’s definitely cool to see how this channel started!
I am one of Mrs. Caldwell’s granddaughters. Fresh out of high school, I spent my first semester of college living with her and attending classes at a little university satellite campus. All my classes were at night, so during the day I would go to her class as a volunteer and help her for a few hours. She let me design and present a lesson and activity to help teach her students the phases of the moon using Oreos, and the students loved it!
That was one of the big, inspiring moments n my life. It helped me realize my own passion for teaching. As a kid, I somehow already knew that from my grandma teaching grade school and my mom teaching music, that somehow that would come down to me. I am now happily, proudly working on my Special Education degree, currently working as an aide in an elementary autism classroom with plans to become a teacher of the same once I get my license.
Grandma is the most warm, loving, inspiring person I know. I only hope, as the third generation of public schoolteachers in my family, that I can be as impactful and good a teacher to my own students as she has been to hers.
Amazing 🙏❤️
Wow
cool
Dang
You've it the jackpot with a grandma like that...doing animation with oreos!! Now that's something I know will just turn my class into a hyperactive tornado of kids lol
I love how Andy is so giddy in this one! His inner 6th grade self really shines in front of her. Such a wholesome video. Amazing video as always!
You can tell she is a passionate teacher.
"All of this gets passed on." At that point in the video, she had no idea how true that is. Thinking about her impact on you and your impact on an entire community online is pretty inspiring.
Why are childhood teachers seem too always be SO wholesome?❤
You can tell how much respect and admiration he has for that woman 😭
Instead of my teacher inspiring my first flipbook, YOU did andy, when i used to be terrible at arts and crafts, i stumbled onto your channel and i immediately grabed some sheets of paper and a light sorce with a pen. When i was done it looked so bad but i had fun and ive decided to make a new one to honor my old one, thank you andy, thank you for the inspiration ❤😊
Thanks that is so cool!
Hi andy
@@andymationhi andy!! im a big fan!
Andy insuring me too
"It's nice to be seen." LOL
I’m a fine arts teacher. I have always used my classroom to support academic classes. A few years ago, one of my 6th graders showed me a flip book inspired by your videos. That’s when I started watching you.
This is absolutely amazing that you and your teacher have made so much of a bigger impact on each other than you would’ve ever imagined at that first lesson on flip books. This is what we need more of on RUclips and the internet in general ❤
ur spitting fr
Amen brother
It’s amazing how you can trace all of this back to your 6th grade teacher… I think I have a 7th grade English teacher I’ll never forget.
This is beautiful! I love seeing teachers who truly care about their students and are so willing to see how far their students have gone!
This was great to see. The warmth and enthusiasm when she said "all of it!" just left me with the biggest smile.
Me too, I love her enthusiasm. Her warmth, enthusiasm and passion for teaching are more than likely what sparked Andy’s imagination. The fact that he got to share it with her all these years later is just awesome.
This is so sweet! As a former teacher myself, it's so wonderful to see what an impact she had on your life. She must be so proud of you.
People may hate school but it is that one teacher that will change your life
i had a dumb smile on my face the whole video. She's such an angel.
This is so wholesome, and I love it. Also thank you Mrs. Caldwell you created a legend.
She reminds me of my grandmother with her soft voice and enthusiasm for her students. But she also reminds me of MY 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Mobley, who introduced me to art. She was a real-life Ms Frazier from The Magic School bus! I loved 6th grade so much, and seeing this video reminded of her. 🥰
Thankyou for reminding me we are all teachers to the next generation. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
We should all be so lucky as to have a Mrs. Caldwell… beautiful video.
Who knew that when she passed on this to Andy it would eventually pass on to millions of others. I guess I have her to thank for my love of animation!
Mrs. Caldwell seems like a great aunt that you never see
What an amazing video. As a fellow teacher I can only imagine the joy she must have felt at that visit. To know a lesson she taught literally changed your life and who knows how many others. What a gift ❤❤❤
This truly warmed my heart and made me feel all the emotions again of seeing my previous teachers after leaving their classes and telling them how much they inspired me on my journey in life. Thank you for sharing this very intimate and precious moment with us 😊😊😊
U can tell his hand is shaking, he is very happy and nervous at the same time
There are so many teachers I wish I could visit as a 30 something year old man now. Miss Caldwel sounds like the sweetest nicest lady ever, just her voice alone made me think “yeah, she would’ve been one of my favorite teachers.” Thank you so much for sharing this experience!
I feel like I now know what Andy was like in 6th grade seeing the way he interacts with her.
It’s definitely cool to see how this channel started, how far it has come and how it reaches people all over the world.
Mind blowing to think of how any of our seemingly trivial actions might influence the world in the future. So I guess the lesson is, try to have fun and make people happy! You might just succeed!
im here before this comment blows up
@@Nightmare_Fredbear282 lol same
I can't even believe how wholesome this video is! Andy crank in' out the best content per usual
It’s crazy to think that one lesson she taught changed a students life
I recognize that pink dinosaur, the school, and the backside of the grocery store. Had my first job there too. I don't remember Mrs. Caldwell but my brother and sister might. I was a few years ahead of you.
My daughter and I love watching your animations. It's always a treat when you post a new video.
🙏
She is so lucky to have a student like him, she’s very grateful even since 30 years ago.
Oh so, we aren't going to question the "selling dumpster candy" thing.
😆
This is such a beautiful video! Good teachers can leave such a deeply positive impact on their students.
Beautiful video. The ripples of those we affect in life are what makes every life worthwhile and meaningful.
I think you underestimate Mrs Caldwell's animation, though. It's a snowman who winks to the camera then turns to the sun as he begins to melt. It's a very poignant metaphor for accepting the inevitability of death.
This makes me want to relect on my teachers and where I am now, to make a reconnection like that. It was my kindergarten teacher who sparked an interest in teaching for me but I didn’t initially stick to that. I tried other things and finally found my way into teaching. It was only then, that I realized I could take that all the way back to my kindergarten teacher!
Wow, this is great! Not everyone gets to see their teacher again, i love the enthusiasm and joy as you saw her!
This is amazing! Wish more teachers were like her. So passionate
Had to hold back tears through this whole video. As always, thank you for sharing. You are an inspiration ✨️
Oh Andy what a gift! Visiting with your teacher must have been overwhelming. Thank you for sharing!
this video made me tear up :( it's so GREAT that you got to reunite with one of your mentors :) AWESOME video
your flipbook kit was actually used in one of MY classes in the 6th grade!! my quest teacher showed us your "grumpy cloud" flipbook and we made our own, it was such a fun lesson and im so happy to see how you started!!
How awesome. That was absolutely beautiful and such an affirmation of teaching. I wish I could find my 5th & 6th grade teacher (yes I had the same person for both grades). He was such a great teacher. He cared about children and did stuff to encourage learning. He didn't point me down my career path but he did reignite my love of learning and the desire to be a lifelong learner.
The thumbnail shows an epic battle between a student and his teacher while the video is an emotional trip through old memories
This is absolutely cool. So glad that you were able to show her, as all educators do not seem to get to see how they have touched those certain students.
Mrs Caldwell...you have shared flip books with so many more people than you ever imagined.
I grew up with flip books...showing my age lol...but now I get to share it with my kids...and I've no doubt they will share this art form with their children, too...
Mrs Caldwell is a gem. So polite and fun. We need more people like her.
I love how the teacher supports so much
i love this video❤❤❤ its so wholesome❤ shes so sweet, everyone needs her as a teacher!
Andy your a very nice and Christlike person. That was a very inspiring story. Keep doing good things and bringing us all such needed wholesome entertainment.
I go to church with Mrs Caldwell and she has taught some of my children in school. It was fun to see her here. Thanks for sharing this with us!
If it wasn’t for you’re teacher, probably none of us would ever make a flipbook. So I would like to say thank you to you’re teacher for that lesson.🙂
*your
This teacher is legendary. Gave 4 million and above people entertainment with a sheet of paper
I love how one teacher inspired him to make a flip book and then he got 800,000,000 views from flipbooks❤❤That is truly a Great Teacher
The amount of ppl who have met her is amazing👍 so wholesome
This seems like it brings back the good memories. She seemed to remember most of it, too.
I love this video so much! Make sure to show her grumpy cloud 2!!
Andy never fails to impress us with his videos 😂❤
I thought those pink feet were our dinosaur!!
Lol
This is amazing because she inspired you and you inspired me to start making flipbooks!! Its crazy to think that she inspired all of us to make our own!!
Utah! What a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing
It's funny how the guy just standing right there just staring
This whole video warmed my heart, it's so sweet- 😭
this is so nice. + HER FLIPBOOK WAS AMAZING
The fact that one lesson in school inspired you to make this channel to inspire half of the world is awesome
I love this video. It is so great that you have shared this moment with the teacher who got you into flip books. This I a great video. And what a wonderful teacher. She is simply amazing.
Hello,
This teacher is so proud of what she brought to the young boy you were, as she should be. Thank you for sharing this with us.
It was a really an amazing video, it's fun to see you get excited like a child next to your teacher, she looks like a lovely and kind woman
This is so wholesome, you could just tell she loved seeing him again and vice versa♥️
I love this! I can't imagine how many memories you've gotten from this. This is inspiring!
Anyone that watches this in 2024 they waited 10 months for 2024 when this video came out
I just love that there are a few people who know about mrs. caldwell physically
Honestly love your videos, Andy! You inspired me to make arts and crafts, Keep up the good work! ☺
What an amazing teacher
That's what I call a Middle school reunion
5:11 and Andy passed it on to us with his kits!
this is one of the things that restore faith on humanity
I believe that good teachers are truly the best people on earth. The amount of good that they can spread during their career touches thousands if not millions of people over time and spans generations.
Props to your teacher for essentially creating this amazing channel
Smarter everyday had a video like this. Is super special to go and see those who have done good in your life
Basically, that teacher indirectly made us love flipbooks 😂
Ms. Cardwell is so wholesome! I would be so grateful if she was my grandma ☺🌸
I love her so much she’s her voice really is soothing and I can’t stop smiling watching this video watched it twice
Thanks, Andy and Mrs. Caldwell!!! I waa just telling my mom about this morning kids program from the 70s called Captain Noah and his Magical Ark. His show taught kids arts and crafts. And, bam, you brought on Mrs. Caldwell. Reminded me sooo much of that show and my past school teachers. Thanks, again, Andy!!! 😂😂😂😂 ❤❤❤❤ 😅😅😅😅😅😅
that was so awesome .....i was smiling the whole time while watching the video ;DD
Its crazy that 1 lesson from mrs. caldwell inspired andy’s whole youtube career!
Amazing❤ you are so lucky to reunite with your teacher.
I love how he's trying his best to not cry...
That feeling when someone just likes loves you so much and you feel butterflies indirectly ya know
Just too good
Andd the fact that he still likes the comments❤
It was very amazing of Andy to find and prepare this video. He did all this for us!
The teacher inspired you, and you inspired me to do a flipbook for like 5 years from here
Old people are either the sweetest things on the planet or the grumpiest people you will ever know, so glad your teacher was one of the sweet ones
"Its nice to be seen!!" Damn that really hit me hard rn with what I'm going through
This is making me emotional. So wholesome.
As a teacher, it'd be wild to have a student come back decades or more later to tell me I inspired such an impact.
This just warms my heart
I've been thinking of visiting my favourite teachers that really had an impact on me. I think you might have inspired me to finally do it.
