When the key on the kettle doesn't turn on, it doesn't turn off or it gets stuck...I do this!! solution This video will talk about two easy solutions to avoid running out of water for mate or coffee. Our kettles come with a little key that has contacts that are activated by a bimetallic sheet (thermostat), which means that when we put water to boil, when it heats up, this sheet dilates and through it activates small contacts that cut off the flow of electric current, causing the device turns off automatically... that is why when this key fails the heater or kettle will not turn on nor will it turn off or it will simply remain dead. An easy solution without having to do much would be to cancel this little key and disconnect both cables from their connector and join them and that way the kettle would work, taking into account that it would no longer turn off automatically but manually. And the other solution would be to disassemble this little key, clean its contacts with soft sandpaper and alcohol to remove the carbon and tartar and thus have a good job and then assemble it and test it with a lighter, heating the lead and seeing that it activates by itself.
