The Appeal Court only decided on the power of the State High court on vacancy. For clarity, the appeal court did not say that the former legislators’ seats are not vacant. The former legislators’ seats remain vacant per the constitution, and as declared vacant by the speaker. If the former legislators believe that their seats are not vacant, then the former legislators should approach the Federal High Court, but not the State High Court, to contest it, assuming the Appeal Court verdict were to be so and not appealed.
Hon Ikenga and d G-60 lawmakers are doing it right; it is left to all right-thinking Rivers pple to give all necessary support to it.Hon Ikenga is a rare breed and Nigerians shld be proud of hm.

Ikenga, Nigerians have heard enough of your ranting in defence of pro Fubara. It's irresponsible for you to misinterpret Appeal Court judgement in your blind way and expect Nigerians to buy into it. It's unfortunate, it can't happen. How can Ikenga contemplate that three inconsequential house members can sit in Fubara's room to sack majority of 24 House members? It's not done.
Ikenga is a lawmaker not a law interpreter. Ikenga is fueling crisis in Rivers by foolishly miss interpreting court judgement. We refuse to see with Ikenga that 27 law makers have defected and their seats declared vacant by 3 house members. This the position of the Appealate Court of the land which Ikenga must accept.
