Many years ago traveled to Torrez Martinez to pay respects to the Cahuilla people. I love listening to the songs, hold onto the songs and sing/dance with pride. This is wonderful !!

Yep. Google calls it "engagement" whether a like, or dislike. Google suggests random videos to viewers to build a profile of what they are interested in, or Not. You are "helping" Google. 🤔 So, a few, but not all, are anonymous racists. Others mostly annoyed they landed on something they don't understand. Google don't understand either.
makes sense i never knew that before so thank you for telling me learn something new everyday but yeah you got some good videos and good content so props to you 👍
@@thatguy8748 Thanks! And yep, I just want people to know. I can monitor & delete comments, but the Dislikes just stay. But the videos speak to the right people.
I really love these singers!! I came across them, like most people, through Facebook. I saw this group perform in Gallup, NM (Red Rock Park) at the Gallup Inter-Tribal Ceremonial in 2018 and I fell in love with the songs they sang and how the women danced to the song. I do have a question, if anyone could answer it for me; When they men are singing and at a certain point in the song a few of the men get lower to the ground like their hunting, what does that mean?

live your life on the "Pow Wow Trail".....and you will meet some of the most amazing people alive on the planet, and you will learn a lot from them.....Live the way of the Natives , by doing as they do....Care for All Life, out in nature, in your own community, and always be ready to do all you can to "lend a hand" where and when it is needed....volunteer to do some work for the Native youth and the elders, the ones who need help the most....Give freely, don't just take, it's the Native way to live...If you do as they do, you will earn the respect from them, and they will teach you about the Songs..the Ceremonies, etc...Just know that if you go around Native people, they WILL "TEST" you, to see if you are sincere or not....It will take them about 10 minutes to figure you out......so just be humble, and honest, and you will get in the "tipi door"....if you are sincere..

Vickey Vaughn Hi.miss u all.
How does one start to learn about bird singing and getting involved in the native community?
live your life on the "Pow Wow Trail".....and you will meet some of the most amazing people alive on the planet, and you will learn a lot from them.....Live the way of the Natives , by doing as they do....Care for All Life, out in nature, in your own community, and always be ready to do all you can to "lend a hand" where and when it is needed....volunteer to do some work for the Native youth and the elders, the ones who need help the most....Give freely, don't just take, it's the Native way to live...If you do as they do, you will earn the respect from them, and they will teach you about the Songs..the Ceremonies, etc...Just know that if you go around Native people, they WILL "TEST" you, to see if you are sincere or not....It will take them about 10 minutes to figure you out......so just be humble, and honest, and you will get in the "tipi door"....if you are sincere..
