Dave, thanks for another great tutorial. I use TS2 with Affinity Photo, and it works the same as with Photoshop. I have a Mac with Big Sur, thus have been waiting for Topaz Labs to update Adjust AI so it will run on Big Sur and in Topaz Studio 2. The beta is out. Unfortunately, TS2 has no way of running the Topaz AI betas. Maybe we'll soon see an update to TS2 that will allow use of the betas and restore some of the features that were available in the original TS.
I received this info in an email from Shift Art& wanted to share apropos of the discussion below: "Two of my favorites are Topaz Studio 2 and Adjust AI, which are both included in the Topaz Labs Creator Bundle. But now, they are gone! POOF. Vanished from their website without warning!!Have a look for yourself (but come back for the good news): topazlabs.com/shop/I immediately contacted them about this, and according to a Topaz Labs manager: "these products [Mask AI, Topaz Studio 2, Adjust AI] are still available on the website but our primary focus has shifted to our image quality apps going forward: DeNoise, Sharpen, Gigapixel, and Video Enhance." Sadly, it looks like it's the end of the line for the go-to artistic Photoshop plugins that artists have come to love over the past years!I still don't have information on how long they will support and update these plugins for existing users, but surely they will work great for many years to come!"
I learned more about my favorite effect in TS2, abstract. I wont pay for photoshop and I do have elements 2020. However topaz needs to step up its game when it comes to other editors that are way more advanced in processing raw images with ai features and I can alway import a tiff image into TS2 I dont know if you can wake them up but they need it. Especially irritating is that I need to export and import an image in TS2 or I will overwrite an original. I forget the right terminology since my computer is not open
Masterful edit Dave! Now I have to ask - Why has Studio2 and indeed everything but Sharpen and DeNoise AI plus Gigapixel disappeared from the Topaz list of products? Are they abandoning (without an announcement) all their other stuff? Even some of the AI products (Adjust, JPG to RAW etc.) are gone. And of course, none of the "legacy" plugins like Restyle or Glow are available any more. They've been gone awhile without any notice to customers of their passing. As an affiliate who actively promotes these programs (especially Studio2) I thought maybe you had a clue as to what's going on at my favorite software company.
Thanks Michael. I have the same question that you have. I have heard nothing concerning the other products. I do know that they are supposed to be updating Adjust Ai for Mac but I am unsure about Jpeg to Raw Ai. You can still purchase Studio 2 and Adjust Ai when you click on my Affiliate link. When I go to the Topaz Site I don't see them there.
Great tutorial. Thanks.

Dave how do you compare the super resolution that’s new in LR compared to Gigapixel? I find Gigapixel is better.
I haven’t tried it yet but it is not as advanced a Gigapixel.
