Loved this experience! It would definitely take me awhile to get used to not having my hands on the steering wheel in all that traffic!
Its nervewracking at first. My first time using FSD- after allowing the car to drive for you in a non busy environment , you learn its driving style and its strength and weaknesses. It has flaws on ceratin situations especially on parking lots. More room for improvement, but FSD (Fulll self driving) is a great technology as an Aid for driving when tired.

Arrived at destination! Yey! Cool indeed. Totally agree that we cannot totally depend on the system alone. Stay alert to take over the steering wheel. So cool, it slows down before turning and accelerates if it needs to. How fast is the Super Charging Stations? I'm discussing driveless vehicles to my students sometimes. Go YanYan! 🚘
Thank you for watching the entire video. Supercharging takes approximately 30 minutes drom 10% to 90% capacity. It charges up to 150 kwh per hour for my car. Driverless cars technology is still a work in progress. But its great to have as a feature we can use. I will try to showcase more self driving on the freeway and neighborhood streets etc.

Can't say I don't agree, but it's still pretty coo feature. Even tho he's not physically touching the "yok"(😂) he naturally will always be on alert to take over. I think being in control never goes away. Have you driven yet?

FSD (full self driving) can be tricky on very busy streets with minimal lanes and a lot of moving cars, pedeatrians and cyclists and animals. But on "Normal City Streets" it works great. So I purchased my L/R, dual motor all-wheel-drive, Tesla M3 back in December 2018, and I’m in the process of ordering the new refreshed Highlander, M3, dual motor all wheel drive, L/R battery pack.
So I have FSD, and I use it all the time, and I try not to touch the screen unless I have to, as I use voice commands to tell the car what I want it to do.
So as a point of information, the nags, as we call them, reminding you to keep hands on the steering wheel is there because Tesla wants to keep the people at DOT Department of Transportation happy, because unlike some of these other car companies, Tesla has never claimed that FSD can do all the driving all the time or that it is a completely hands-free driving system, as it is not, it’s one component in the ADAS system, which stands for advanced driver assistance system, which is not exclusive to Tesla as all cars being produced today have the systems in place.
So until the law has changed, and Tesla has dropped beta from FSD, you’re required to have your hands on the wheel at all times.
So the time between the nags telling you to apply a turning force to the steering wheel can vary depending on where you’re driving.
It should also be noted, that Tesla does not have a separate GPS system, as all cars use the same GPS system as every other car company, and so it’s just a matter of find tuning how the car determines its direction.
So we’re not there yet in terms of having the vehicle do all the driving, but that’s where the technology is being driven, to where the car will not only be able to drop you off at the precise location, but also park itself and allow you to use Smart summon to summon the car to your location, and so all of these things are promises by Tesla and other car companies to continue to upgrade and fine-tune the system, because ultimately the car becomes the robot, as we don’t need a humanoid robot, like the Tesla Optimus robot that Tesla is planning to mass produce to drive a car, because the car is the robot, and anything new, takes time for people to accept and to utilize.
So people should be skeptical and cautious, as you’ve indicated, because this technology is there to assist the driver, not to take over all driving functions at this time.
So it’s encumbered for all of us to stay in control of our vehicle’s, and let’s keep each other safe while using this developing technology. Cheers 🥂

Thanks for watching! Self driving is great on roads with lanes and markings. It will struggle on certain conditions with minimal or no lane markings and an abbundance of traffic like animals on roads. Teslas are Full self driving Beta. It is not an autonomous car. I hope you find this helpful!!

what do you think about the used tesla 3 being sold by Hertz?
I would not buy a used rental one with high mileage. Its been driven and abused by hundreds of customers. Rental cars use Tesla Superchargers to charge their Tesla as Tesla give them complimentary Supercharging the first six months. Which means the battery health condition is "not good" as supercharging A LOT does degrade the battery condition. To me it's like buying something that could very likely and pottentially be a headache the day you pass 100,000 miles (when warranty runs out) I hope you find my feedback helpful!

What happens if you dont touch the steering wheel when it prompts you to?
It will alert you some more, by alert i mean prommpt u again with Sound/beep- then it will prompt u again w RED indicator and some more Beeping sound- then it will disable Full self driving. I have not timed or attempted exactly how long (how many seconds) until FSD is disabled.

how much does full self driving cost?
@alaouisimo Tesla Full Self Driving beta costs 199$ per month as a subscription. I ordered my car with a referral code from a friend which gave me 6 months of free supercharging and 90 days of Free FSD! In addition Tesla offers the FSD beta package for an upfront cost of a hefty $12,000. I think going the subscription route is the better way to go. Hope this helps!
