This is great knowledge that the rotation focused guides leave out a lot. Referencing the rotations is helpful but i think you need to know the fundamnetal mechanics of how the boss works. Especially because it seems once the rotation is complete, the second rotation has some randomization in it. So if you dont kill it on rotation 1 you will need to be able to improvise. This video explains it very well.
Just got my first KC following this guide! Technically on my second try (first time I forgot my anti venom and just dipped) but this guide helped me to do it deathless! Like you said, every other guide I watched talked about learning rotations, using the rotation plugin, etc. Those don't help when you get overwhelmed trying to switch prayers, gear, positioning, and eating above 50! Your guide absolutely DOES help make all of that easier, and I hope to use these tips to make learning rotations easier. You're a king!
This is an amazing guide since I am a noob on mobile and no access to a PC for runelite cheese methods of killing this boss. I'll be coming back to this one until I get some kills on this boss consistently, thank you for the simple guide!
Returning back to this video because THIS was the video that made Zulrah click for me. Struggled with remembering rotations for a while but understanding the patterns behind it all was so much better for me!!! Thank you!
Such a good guide. I stopped playing for close to three years and completely forgot Zulrahs rotations and I didn't need help with gear. This is said concisely without having too much unnecessary information.
Dear Sick Love, Thank you for all your coaching at Zulrah. I just made my first ever Zulrah kill! And completed the western provinces diaries. Couldn't have done it without you. All the best, Ren Molesworth MD I
Memorizing is very easy. By the time you do 50 kills you're already getting it and by 100-150 it's like riding a bike. You don't even reach the final phase almost ever if your setup is good enough I would say that it's most difficult for irons who aren't as equipped
your to underrated for the value you provide, make it way more easy to understand then most peoples guides. every one seems to assume your familiar with whatever it is even though there guides say "for noobs" lol, you should do a ToA guide, itd provide tons of value because there is no decent guides for that. thank you very much!
Thank you very much for this guide! I've attempted Zulrah multiple times over the last few years(playing very much so on and off) and while I now have much better stats and bowfa + crystal which makes the fight easy, following this video has made it as smooth and easy to deal with as possible. Remembering rotations is so unnecessary compared to this approach.
This is much better. I learned zulrah many years ago before guides and charts came out and I always thought it was a bad idea to tell people to try to memorize a bunch of charts
I havent played osrs in about a year i rememher struggling so hard to get my first kill for the hard diaries, this turotial is absolutely amazing ive subbed!
At first I hid behind the pillars during the mage phase and only used mage attacks to kill it during it's range phase until I really got it down and brought a range switch to start damaging the magic phase. The only thing is sometimes the mage phase of zulrah likes to throw out range attacks sometimes
Snakelings aren’t typeless though, they are either mage or melee. Generally keep mage prayer on for them if the boss isn’t ranging you to block some free damage
I could be wrong on it since zulrah does have a lot of tweaks and updates throughout the years that weren't mentioned, but in my experience i never noticied a different behaviour regardless of the protection prayers used.
Greenlogged zulrah here. This is correct and is, imo, pretty underrated advice. Protecting against the snakelings when zulrah isn't attacking will save you tons of supplies and easily allow you to do even 10+ runs a trip on normal food. The snakelings also make distinct sounds that note their style of attack. Alternatively, you can see if a snakeling is going to mage or melee you if it is trying to move closer to your character's cardinal direction or not. Overall, still a good guide man.
Great guide but I still don't know where to stand for each phase.. i'm just running around like a clueless chicken. How do you learn where to stand? Yet to see a guide explain that
Thank you sir! Im looking to do zulrah, can anybody please tell me if these stats are good enough: 55 atk, 53 str, 44 def, 37 range, 33 magic. I know its not the highest but was just looking to farm this boss for a bond in F2P. Thank you!
This boss is not available in f2p, and its locked behind some members quests where you would need higher stats than that. My advice is to check f2p money makers as there are some decent ones around
1. Your explanation of the melee phase is outright wrong, that is not how this attack works, this model only works if applied to the left tip of the island. (Congrats, you derived an entire mechanics model off sample size = 1) The easier (and correct) way to think about it is predetermined parts of the island becoming unsafe. Same applies to you saying "unless you are standing next to a pillar" which is also completely false considering you will definitely get hit when standing in the middle of the two pillars, bordering one of them. 2. "Zulrah will never be attacking you twice in a row with the same style" is not true either, rotation Magma into unagressive Range phase goes from attacking you with magic, to a non-attacking range phase, to an attacking magic phase so this is also technically false. Since you already apply your "exception" of the non-aggressive phase, you are arguing against yourself here. 3. "Simply always go through the toxic clouds when they fade and you will be in the correct position in the arena" is not correct either. In the serpentine rotation, the first melee phase will poison the entire island so you have to stand on what you consider the "left side" (and every other normal person calls the right side). When this poison fades, you end up in the correct area of the arena by running through it where you will have to be in order to deal damage to the magic phase later. However after the magic phase, the next phase will immediately venom you with gas if you didn't preemptively move, so your guide would get someone hit every single time by venom gas if they relied on this information. 4. "A Jad phase will always occur when a mage phase attacks you, spawns snakelings and summons toxic clouds" is also entirely incorrect. Rotation Magma -> unagressive Range phase continues into a mage phase that does all three of those attacks immediately (and is not followed by a Jad phase) instead it is followed by a melee phase. There are probably countless other examples of where your guide is simply completely incorrect or omits vital information, these are just the first couple that i noticed within 10 minutes of trying your method. I highly recommend to simply use the plugin or an image guide to see where you are and where to stand, its 200x easier, and even gut feeling would get you hit less often than this guide.
@@SockLove You can't disagree with facts, but I see the appeal of using a guide that tries to make this boss a logical encounter. Your guide is a good rule of thumb I suppose. Fair enough, but personally I was very disappointed by the massive amount of misinformation.

This is by far the most useful Zulrah guide out there. This actually makes the fight braindead to think about it this way. thank you so much

Absolute chad guide - love that you saw the pattern and then explained it like I was 5 years old - cheers

4 minutes in and this guide is already more helpful than most.
most other people just say use the plugin and its easy, well too bad when you are too focused on prayer and cannot click a plugin as well...
Such a good guide. I stopped playing for close to three years and completely forgot Zulrahs rotations and I didn't need help with gear. This is said concisely without having too much unnecessary information.
Great guide, saving this
Best guide out there after about 40 attempts this was the advice I needed 👍
Having watched like 5 other videos and it not sticking, this was just what I needed.
Dear Sick Love,
Thank you for all your coaching at Zulrah.
I just made my first ever Zulrah kill! And completed the western provinces diaries.
Couldn't have done it without you.
All the best,

This makes so much sense and is way more learnable than memorizing and using the rotation tool. Thank you!

thank you very much!
Maybe in the future but right now i don't think i'm comfortable enough with ToA to make a guide yet
Nice guide good detail, can your next guide be 'how not to go dry' at zulrah please

This is the best guide for Zulrah, hands down! Well done.
Best Zulrah guide I have ever seen! Thank you!
This is much better. I learned zulrah many years ago before guides and charts came out and I always thought it was a bad idea to tell people to try to memorize a bunch of charts
Honestly very educational in helping me learn my second PVM
This is the ultimate zulrah guide!
I havent played osrs in about a year i rememher struggling so hard to get my first kill for the hard diaries, this turotial is absolutely amazing ive subbed!
these tips are way better than memorizing rotations. I can see things about this boss I never saw before. Thank you
Great guide man, I cheesed my diary kill before seeing this, but I noticed I overlooked some obvious facts about this boss. Thanks for the help!
improved me even after already having 700 kc, thanks
Thank you so much for this guide. The rotational stuff is so asinine. I hate how people act like it's the best way or easy to do.
Amazing video as everyone else said. Subbed.
Great video. Very well explained. Thanks a lot. Keep the content comin

any one click on this thinking it was how to skip all rotations zulrah guide? nah me neither.
Very nice editing. Good video dude.

@@SockLove the ones that shoot projectiles are mage, the ones that walk up to you are melee. prayer has always worked against them

Thought this was some new tech vid where you didn't have to run around Zulrah. Turns out its a simple guide for newbies to learn Zulrah on.
I wish. But the non rotational stands for not having to memorize all the rotations to engage with the boss
I'll always be too noob to fight Zulrah. Feeling pretty confident in my theoretical skills though~
That's not very Jaddy...!! Damn why'd someone call it Jad phase
Got pet at 711kc now I'm dry an at 1k kc
Pretty snek why would you hurt a snek snek

Yea no thanks lol that's a bit much to kill a boss in a game
1. Your explanation of the melee phase is outright wrong, that is not how this attack works, this model only works if applied to the left tip of the island. Judging by all of the people that felt overwhelmed with the plugin, that found the guide useful, i'm gonna have to disagree with you there
@@SockLove You can't disagree with facts, but I see the appeal of using a guide that tries to make this boss a logical encounter. Your guide is a good rule of thumb I suppose. Fair enough, but personally I was very disappointed by the massive amount of misinformation.
I can handle the rotations just fine but those fuggin venom clouds get me everytime. Theyre hard to see and hard to tell where you can stand
