Hey Johnzoid, DoubleCounter has been recently selling account identification online for a subscription, without peoples consent , i dont suggest using them if you want more people in the server as this was a massive drama.
I send feedback to motorola & I don't seem to get a bunch of emails from them, just depends on if you know what your doing I guess- when ofc opting to put in your email for contact 😅 in which I guess that would be for the marketing, as I hadn't gotten a response I've also bought the same phone when it was $79 at Walmart while when I dropped it face front on the concrete, it still worked great after running it under the sink, the ports were ok to. it could just sometimes be the lognevity more then the actual water resistance that it may be able to perform
I got mine right before Christmas of last year for $60, but it was unlocked and without any bloatware. It's not a bad phone, takes pretty decent pictures in most situations, and has handled getting wet just fine. Also it handles everything I want to do just fine, watching videos, playing games, occasional pictures, and since I work in maintenance and repair at an industrial facility it's survived a beating and even a bath in hydraulic fluid with me.
Mine has fallen quite a bit and is still intact. My favourite thing about it is that it has a decent amount of storage which is perfect for doing my school work while I'm mobile.
I've been a happy user of Moto G phones for a decade. I recently ordered a second Moto G Power 2024, unlocked, used, from the same Amazon page where I ordered my first one and the unscrupulous seller substituted this Tracfone version. What you didn't learn, because you didn't try multiple SIMs in it, is that even though it's unlocked, it doesn't have all the frequencies for all the carriers. When I installed a Google Fi SIM, it said that the best I would get out of this phone is 4G LTE service on their network. I returned the phone and ordered a new one from Amazon ($150), to truly duplicate the one I already have that knocks my socks off with its 5G service on the Tmob network. Moral of the story? There are a confusing number of versions of the Moto G series of phones, and you really have to pay attention to the details to find the mind-blowingly good versions.
@royfokerpoker1802 I've settled on getting the unlocked Moto G Power, for the year I want (they vary a lot!) sold and shipped by Amazon. The 2024 has all the features I want, including NFC, SD card support and an attractive price.
The last flagship I bought was for photos only. $120 Google pixel 7 pro with a damaged screen. After taking hundreds of photos and videos eventually the screen gave out and I had to spend $60 and some time to replace it. So it wasn't such a great bargain, but still that phone to me is essentially a $200 compact camera with a 7X zoom. In the case of this $40 Motorola, it's an incredible value for the capabilities.
@Protolamna thats why i only buy iphones i had the cheap android look ill rather buy a old iphone xr than this new 2025 android cause it feels cheap but i will say this for the price this one isnt bad you get fast charging uscbc for just 40 bucks im still on se202 which is more powerful but still uses lightning to usbc which i had to buy separate to get my fast charging
People lived without mobile phones so lifesaver is bit much to say for a phone... We did just fine without mobile phones, we were even better not realizing that social networks will ruin our social lives in real world where it actually matters... We have people today that dont do anything in real life but on social networks they are the kings...
@zexxx2600Right, because the only reason to have a phone is social media. It's not like people have jobs which may require them to, I don't know, contact them on occasion? Or they may want to call in sick without driving there just to do so? Or have kids and want them to have a phone to call parents if something happens, or they need help?
@zexxx2600 And those landline phones from the 90s and before cost more than this monthly plan has, let alone the cost of the phone, and what it can do.
Also don't forget the SD card slot and actually you can put a normal SIM card in it not that crap of esim that provokes total nightmare if you want to change your phone or the SIM card
I have the 2023. Paid the same price. I don't use social media, or play games. Still working just fine. Dropped about a hundred times. No cracks. Just a cheap phone that works. Also just delete all the apps after setup. Then go through and disable all the permissions on the rest.
Finally someone who acknowledges these phones for what they are and don't immediately start whining about "oooooh why does this 40 dollar smartphone not have the same features as my 2000$ flagship"
@miregoji2959mediatek chips arent quite as terrible as they used to be, go up a bit in price and their 7000/8000 series chips ive seen actually arent terrible
@miregoji2959that's like comparing a $200 pc to a $2000 pc just because both have an nvidia gpu, even though the $200 pc has a low end nvidia gpu from 2015
This phone is an absolute steal. My friend is in construction and goes through phones like crazy. I found this model , cleaned out all the bloatware, got him a 512gb micro sd card and a nice fat protective case on Amazon. He paid for the $40 plan for two months and then got on the Connect by T--Mobile plan for $15 per month. He uses it as his work phone and his overpriced Galaxy S25 is still in pristine condition. I can't say enough positive things about this phone. It's incredible that in 2025 so much technology can be packed into something for $40 and it's 100% worth the bloatware. Thank you for making people aware of this. I'm so glad I subbed to you. Fantastic video!
@devon12346 Yes, that was obviously a mistake from typing too quickly while trying to remember what I did to the thing. I found him a 512 for just under what the phone cost. I appreciate your snarky reply :)
The unlocked retail version retailed for $199 when it first came out. All these budget mobile phones that are carrier lot usually come with a lower spec version that is tied to a carrier. I think I did a deal a few years back for another moto phone. It was $40 and another $40 for a month of service. I am pretty sure have a phone full of bloatware ads knocks down the price because all those advertisers give the carrier a kick back for fill your phone with so much crapware.
@peterparker2068they aren’t lowered spec, the reason why straight-talk and Total-wireless sell them so cheap is because they’re carrier locked. They make their money from their cell service.
I am a retired fireman. Most fire departments in the US use Motorola radios. Why? Because of the quality, ruggedness and dependability ... not to save $. Lives depend on it. Hard to believe Motorola, a premium quality manufacturer, is producing a cellphone that retails for this price.
Its probably because Motorola doesn't actually manufacture these phones and licenses their brand name to a low cost OEM. Im sure the division that produces the communications equipment for first responders isnt the same division responsible for selling budget phones.
@CarryMePlz2239Me, pictures of Chinese tires and parts likely some how to connected to the far East. That said I watch China Uncensored so I am on everyone's list for unning.
It $200 mid-range phone after a significant discount. And no. Threre is minimum price point for the the chassis, screen, keyboard, battery, etc. even if they use the cheaest motherboard/processor/memory possible. Compared to PC-s smartphones are much cheaper to build.
You can get your very own mind reading, mind control and monitoring device (aka cell phone) for the low low price of $40. The three m's: mind reading, mind control and monitoring, the true trinity.
ive been using sub-$50 motorolas for years and I LOVE em. I used to be a flagship phone guy but i break a lot of phones - it just got too expensive. Are they the best? ofc not. but they do everything i need, including some light games. and the screen and speakers are great. And the main thing, if i break it.... no worries. I pick up a new one and move on. Also, a small thing that nobody mentions is that they have built in FM radio reception. I use that a surprising amount
That's partly why I returned to using a Motorola. Love having the FM radio chip on mine. I am on a phone plan now that has higher limits for high speed internet, but I'm old enough to remember when radio was a huge deal for me.
..but the Millennium generation wants a show-off s/phone, especially Apple & the rest. This phone is exceptional for its price, aimed more so for Third World population to have & use. Once you strap on a nice case who would notice.
I'm kinda looking to get one of these ASAP... what really bothers the F out of me is that upcoming phones are doing away with the 3.5mm phone jack! That bothers me a great deal, though I do have one pair of BlueTooth earbuds, but my wired stuff just sounds better (the headphones I have, anyway).
This is insane! Just 20 years ago, I had to work after school and pay $40 to get 40 minutes of talk time or 80 text messages. $200 would get me the worst quality tracfone which was as heavy as a brick. This guy, sounding like he’s complaining, is pissing me off! 😒
I remember those TracFone days, and always watching the minutes before they could run out! Once they came out with unlimited talk and text, I was so relieved! Now, you can even get unlimited Hot Spot data with prepaid phone service! Times have changed!
@peterparker2068Yeah but that is the Moto G Power model with 8GB RAM and is water resistant. This is the G model which is the middle between the Power and the cheaper Moto G Play.
I just bought this 3 weeks ago and it's the best purchase i've made. The last time I bought a phone was in 2020 and I paid $200 for my last phone so my budget this year was also $200. The specs are insane for the price. I'm glad i didn't need to spend $200 on a phone lol
@liam-im1dy I just purchased one and watching videos on RUclips the quality is pretty decent. I broke my phone and needed one ASAP and found it at family dollar for 50. I paid 40 dollars for the plan and carried over my existing number
I have the 2024 version of this phone that I use just for work (I have 90 field reps on my team and I do NOT want them to have my personal number) and I have no complaints. It's insanely good for the price.
120hz, 30w fast charging, stereo sound, 5000 mAh. All of that for $40 is insane. Only thing that hits back is the obnoxious data collection going on shamelessly with Device Pulse's terms, after the 60 days unlock immediately, switch off Tracfone, and ADB delete that steaming pile of spyware.
If you are tech savvy enough you can connect those phones to adb with a pc to debloat them + you can install f droid that has apps that are more lighter and do not have adds. I know what I am suggesting is out of reach for normal people but for anyone with patience and following internet/ai instructions is not that difficult, and it brings life to those cheap phones.
You can't exactly do this on most modern smartphones anymore due to carrier and manufacturer setting restrictions that require the bootloader to be unlocked and have made that unlocking impossible on most brands
@That93obs de bloating don't require bootloader unlock, you have to enable the developer option only. He is not talking about flashing a custom ROM or rooting the phone.
Actually an easier solution would be just to buy the unlocked version from Motorola for less than $150. Target,Walmart, and best buy sell unlocked versions with minimal bloatware if any
I have one of those phones, also do an app search in the phone and the phone actually has a built in FM radio type tuner, also a person needs to plug in headphones since the headphone wires act as the FM radio antenna, I am old school so basically almost like having a modern day Walkman
No this phone is actually insane for 40 dollars, it has got an OIS camera that looks extremely good considering the price. The 120hz display and the actually decent chipset that's on 6nm tech, not 12nm are just mind-blowing and show us that phones don't need to be expensive to do their job properly. Ads? As we saw, you can get rid of them
I'm amazed at unlocks after only 60 days. Previously those kinds of phones used to take at least 6 months to 12 months on the dedicated carrier they were assigned to.
I used to be a big tech afficionado, having all the newest stuff. For the last 6-7 years Ive been using Linux on a 4gb laptop and a 50dollar Motorola. Before that it was 100dollar Huaweis. Ive become waaaay more productive. I dont play games or social media and have no use for a camera. I text and take calls. All the bells and whistles are just there to take your time from the family
Trying in case it in nail polish or epoxy resin waterproof phone case for extra stability the entire phone on the back side is made out of rubber and plastic the screen is a gorilla Glass 3 the phone calls 39.00 I got mine for 2488 at Walmart on rollback feel free to upgrade it maybe waterproof duct tape for extra sealing off
I've been using a moto g phone for several years. It's done everything I want. (I don't do gaming.) It retailed for $200 but I only paid $60 at Target when it became an obsolete model. That was super cheap for an unlocked phone. I use it on Mint Mobile for $15 a month. I've never had a problem with either the phone or Mint. I can't believe the money people spend on phones. Many of them can hardly afford to pay the rent.
@jayjayare The cost difference is so low. This lineup of photo (Moto G 5G) had 6-8GB RAM in 2020. Why did they go backwards? To encourage people to spend more.
The boxes are sealed that way because trashy people like to steal things and the longer it takes for them to open the more likely it is that they'll get caught.
I am a HUD trained volunteer home retention counselor and I am amazed at what family's who are facing foreclosure pay monthly for their phones and phone plan. Of course, many of these families have had huge changes in their income for numerous reasons but that's no excuse for not living on a budget. This phone, this video, will be added to my course requirements. Car & Food expenditures are my #1 & #2 " attention " getters at the beginning of my counseling when we are building a monthly budget but I certainly will include phone/phone-plan expense w' this phone/phone-plan as cost basis.
@stevedean3097Page Plus is what I have used for more than a decade. No problems at all. 29.99. I think there are cheaper ones...Page Plus really runs off Verizon
I believe that. I had a friend who used to take out a personal loan to get her and her daughter the newest iPhone....and then she whined about not having money to go eat at a buffet. I don't get it. But then my phone is a tool...it isn't my life. If I had MY way I would be using a pager and pay phones but...no more pay phones now....I actually use my smart phone more at home than out in the wild. Everyone is different
Very impressed for the price. Even more impressed it was capable of running a shooter game. For 40$ USD... it's a steal for anyone who just needs a simple phone.
Can I use this phone for WIFI and Apps only w/o a service plan? US Cellular will lock you out once you power on unless. you activate with a plan rendering the phone useless unless you signup on a plan.
“Game that you only play for 26 seconds and then have to watch two minutes of ads “ 😂😂 this is why i love this channel 🎉 man i miss the old days where games like temple run and subway surfers just worked no ads now a days games sometimes ask you if you want to watch an ad to get a certain thing unlocked or coins and even if you say no, they proceed with the ad 😒
As someone who used to daily a 20 dollar tracphone from 2018, i can confirm the quality of the cameras is surprisingly good as long as you have full sunlight
i had some gift cards for Walmart so i only paid 15$ for it . i bought a phone game pad from ali express and use it as a portable emulator for Dreamcast and ps1 . works great
And now this phone is currently $29 at walmart, which makes it even more of an insane deal, that cannot be beaten, the phone features tracfone service with rates as low as $10 a month, again ubeatable and we have tested the phone to measure against alot of the phones out there.
I would use that phone. I haven't had an expensive phone since black berries were the thing. I really don't use my phone for games...I have dedicated systems. I have used Page Plus for probably 12 years or more. That's around the time I discovered the magic of gas station phones instead of great phones for a high monthly contract. I'm sure it is hard for some people to believe a current state of the art expensive phone is not important to everyone. Great video
8:20 -Tracfone- Verizon Value brand phones typically come with the SIM preinstalled. You have to use their service for at least 60 days before it unlocks.
Very interesting. I just took delivery on a 2024 Moto G Power (8/128) for about $100 plus some existing credit I had with the store. This included a cse and a couple screen protectors. If I had seen this before buying the unit I got, I might have been highly tempted to get this to tide me over until something better came along at at a highly tempting price. No regrets but it would have made the choice harder. I did really like how easy it was to transfer everything compared to my previous phone upgrade in 2020. That phone is dying from battery swelling and the cost to fix was far too close to just upgrading instead. I'd copied everything to the microSD card to facilitate the changeover but this turned out to be unnecessary as the newer phone had a utility at startup to copy over everything via an included cable connection. The difference in performance on demanding games like Match Factory is very noticeable.
Sigh the first time I saw a comment like this, I was like ooh hah kind of creative. But now it's so overrused, it's lost it's meaning, and I group it with the "annoying comment spams that annoying people do". Edit: forgot to mention that a lot of these types of comments are posted by stupid clankers so that adds to it also.
I got a question and im usually lost when it comes to phones,,,,,so,i use Verizon.......can i just take the sim card out of my old phone and put it in this one and it will work......or not......thanks,for any comments
I drop my phone a lot, been buying these for like 4 years does everything I could ever want from a smartphone. AND the shake for flashlight comes in so handy. You don't need to buy the trac phone version either I buy the ATT one and i just put my sim in and it's good to go!
im an hr late damn :( motorola is a daily driver of mine its my music player, holds all my music needs especially with a micro SD card. it saves me space on my main driver because no spotify downloads, my motorola that ive had for a few years (the g play 2023) lasts a long time on one charge, sure its just used for music so its lightweight but it lasts longer then my s22. edit: my g play is currently at 78% last charge was Tuesday, when i brought it to the gym with me on friday it said 88% its only gone down 10% in 2 days. Im just explaining my experience with motorola and before my S22 the G play 2023 was my main phone. so ive used it for way longer then my current main driver (work, personal use, phone calling, SMS). sure it could be better but Motorla is a pretty good brand IMO ofc.

Nice Bumbleball on your desk there...
32GB? 64GB?
For 40$ that's insaneeee
I know but still is a insane price for today 😂 @generalrivhs
@generalrivhs just use it as wifi only phone lol
@Villager_Ui mean for WhatsApp business WiFi calls, it'd amazing
It is insane that you can still buy worse phones than it.
Modern mainstream apps want those specs the very least.
@generalrivhs If you're using it as a wifi phone, it's great. You can text and call people with wifi.

any issues with the micro sd card? That's such a steal if it's upgradable to 1tb
Since buying a moto g series years ago, mine has been through the wars, falling from height, taking fall after fall and still going strong,
I've been a happy user of Moto G phones for a decade. A very large number of people just use their phone for making calls and looking at photos sent to them. At $40 this is a bargain for such people.
Yes. More people should consider such a budget phone that will easily meet their needs. No need to spend $1,000 plus on a flagship phone.
@GeeEee75 true. These flagships that cost more than a damn laptop is outrageous
Yup, my Nokia phone is pretty much the same, a bit more expensive (we're in the UK quelle surprise!). It works just fine.
The last flagship I bought was for photos only. $120 Google pixel 7 pro with a damaged screen. After taking hundreds of photos and videos eventually the screen gave out and I had to spend $60 and some time to replace it. If I was broke, I would be very pleased to have this phone. $40 is basically free.
That's capitalism for you. Imagine how cheap and good everything would be if there was no taxes.
For $40 this could be a lifesaver for someone on a budget. Wow, I’m impressed. I’m glad this exist.
People lived without mobile phones so lifesaver is bit much to say for a phone... We did just fine without mobile phones, we were even better not realizing that social networks will ruin our social lives in real world where it actually matters... @zexxx2600 Brother people might need to connect with their family. Don't be this pedantic.
@zexxx2600Right, because the only reason to have a phone is social media. It's not like people have jobs which may require them to, I don't know, contact them on occasion? Cheap phones just get better over time
$40 for a headphone jack that I can just hook to wireless?! Hell. I'm in.
Pay for 60days and then you can move anywhere. Not bad
Check the complete Motorola lineup, there are more competent models with a headphone jack and not for too much money.
motorola is actually the only company releasing solid cheap phones nowadays. too bad they dont get updated for a long time, maybe 3 years tops
Also don't forget the SD card slot and actually you can put a normal SIM card in it not that crap of esim that provokes total nightmare if you want to change your phone or the SIM card
@somehowhere1 hi i dont live in usa, can u explain the pay for 60 days? There are comments saying phone costs more bcs data plan im a bit confused
I have the 2023. Paid the same price. I don't use social media, or play games. Still working just fine. Dropped about a hundred times. No cracks. Just a cheap phone that works. Also just delete all the apps after setup. Then go through and disable all the permissions on the rest.
Your using social media right now
I would never complain about a 40usd phone.
Same.
you are the product
Me too
@SketchPLAY1same case with expensive phones
@lifeless9680 no bruh they dont track everything you do or have remote acces to your whole phone 😭😭😭😭
I just bought one after watching this video. It will be my backup in the event mine takes a crap. Thank You
Finally someone who acknowledges these phones for what they are and don't immediately start whining about "oooooh why does this 40 dollar smartphone not have the same features as my 2000$ flagship"
It has a mediatek cpu, it's deserved
People are complaining if $200+ phones have those specs.
@miregoji2959mediatek chips arent quite as terrible as they used to be, go up a bit in price and their 7000/8000 series chips ive seen actually arent terrible

@GraySonsondelete and disable the bloatware. You can also use the Android Debug Bridge. There are tons of videos on RUclips that teach you how.
1gb sd card? in the year of our lord 2025?
@devon12346 Yes, that was obviously a mistake from typing too quickly while trying to remember what I did to the thing. I found him a 512 for just under what the phone cost. I appreciate your snarky reply :)

that explains all the spyware! 🤣

It's kind of crazy how far we've come technologically in the past couple decades. We've got pocket multimedia computers that cost $40.
Agreed
in some sense we've also went backwards with like $2000 phones that break
Do you think laptop/pc segment will be like this in 10 years?
It $200 mid-range phone after a significant discount.

this is the kinda shit we need more of. this does everything 99% of people need from a phone.
U will sell your soul and info to cheaper phone?
bingo

I'm kinda looking to get one of these ASAP... what really bothers the F out of me is that upcoming phones are doing away with the 3.5mm phone jack! That bothers me a great deal, though I do have one pair of BlueTooth earbuds, but my wired stuff just sounds better (the headphones I have, anyway).
Like getting hacked
This is insane! Just 20 years ago, I had to work after school and pay $40 to get 40 minutes of talk time or 80 text messages. $200 would get me the worst quality tracfone which was as heavy as a brick.
This guy, sounding like he’s complaining, is pissing me off! 😒
I remember those TracFone days, and always watching the minutes before they could run out! Once they came out with unlimited talk and text, I was so relieved! Now, you can even get unlimited Hot Spot data with prepaid phone service! Times have changed!
Bruh this 40$ phone has a cpu that is equal in performance as my 240$ phone 💀
🤣
When new this phone retailed for $199
@peterparker2068Yeah but that is the Moto G Power model with 8GB RAM and is water resistant. This is the G model which is the middle between the Power and the cheaper Moto G Play.
@BagoPorkRindsNo if you buy this same model unlocked today it goes for $175 on Amazon original msrp was 199
It costs 140€ on Amazon.
I just switched to Motorola and the value of their phone is insane even compared to other Chinese brands. You get so much more for your money.
Motorola is a Chinese owned company
@GrishaschannelYes, that's why I said compared to OTHER Chinese brands.
Just a heads up, you didn’t have to check one of the applications to download. You could’ve just hit the remind me later button.
The fact it has SD card capability makes me want one so bad. Please Samsung bring this back for us.
As a Samsung user, no more Samsung for me.
Buy an Infinix smart phone, you will never be disappointed..
What's the benefit of having an sd card?
@B.V.Q.6 As a former Samsung user, I don't blame you.
@royfokerpoker1802 Using it as a personal iPod and filming more videos are the biggest reasons why I still love using SD cards.
I picked up a Galaxy A15 for $40 at Walmart to have a spare Android phone. It’s crazy what you can get now for not much money.
yeah budget phones have come a long way
Hi! What kind of plan are you locked in with this Samsung galaxy phone?
Straight talk. No contact.
Paid roughly $80.00 more for Motorola by Lenovo with more memory absolutely unlocked don't have a separate macro lens I don't take many pictures
When bro was talking about the launchable it showed me the product Launchable on the side 💀
I just bought this 3 weeks ago and it's the best purchase i've made. The last time I bought a phone was in 2020 and I paid $200 for my last phone so my budget this year was also $200. The specs are insane for the price. I'm glad i didn't need to spend $200 on a phone lol
Hows the video watching quality?
@liam-im1dy I just purchased one and watching videos on RUclips the quality is pretty decent. I broke my phone and needed one ASAP and found it at family dollar for 50. I paid 40 dollars for the plan and carried over my existing number
were you required to use a finger print or face or could you have skipped that?
@thenomadicham5329you can generally skip those steps
I have the 2024 version of this phone that I use just for work (I have 90 field reps on my team and I do NOT want them to have my personal number) and I have no complaints. It's insanely good for the price.
That packaging is the total opposite of Moto's official packaging 😢
So?
That might just be Walmart's packaging
A working phone at all for $40 in this economy is weird. How can this be cheaper than a dozen eggs bacon milk and bread?
I paid a dollar for a dozen eggs , under Mussolini with Alzheimer's about $7.
120hz, 30w fast charging, stereo sound, 5000 mAh. All of that for $40 is insane. Only thing that hits back is the obnoxious data collection going on shamelessly with Device Pulse's terms, after the 60 days unlock immediately, switch off Tracfone, and ADB delete that steaming pile of spyware.
damn thats a good deal, but if theres a data collection its bad then
You can buy them with your normal carriers, I buy the ATT one and don't have to do all that crap he did at the start.
Pretty sure AT&T allows bootloader unlock. Do you know for sure? @McWhisperASMR
might actually have to cop this phone if it actually unlocks for other phone services
@McWhisperASMR For $40?
This phone is incredible for someone who really needs a smartphone but cannot afford it or someone who thinks privacy is a joke.
He is not talking about flashing a custom ROM or rooting the phone.
you can do it with canta by using shizuku too
Actually an easier solution would be just to buy the unlocked version from Motorola for less than $150. Target,Walmart, and best buy sell unlocked versions with minimal bloatware if any
Do you know if you can get the bootloader unlocked? And will it support calyxOS or another degoogled OS?
what thernal camera do you have from flir?
4:16 great video, but you can literally just click “remind me later” lmao
Seriously...
I have one of those phones, also do an app search in the phone and the phone actually has a built in FM radio type tuner, also a person needs to plug in headphones since the headphone wires act as the FM radio antenna, I am old school so basically almost like having a modern day Walkman
Been using this on straight talk over my iPhone 15 for the past month. It's actually quite good for $40. Mine works without device pulse
That causes you tryna save your iPhone 😂😂
@MURDAMARVbro what 💀
I hope it has that old "hello moto" ringtone
No this phone is actually insane for 40 dollars, it has got an OIS camera that looks extremely good considering the price. The 120hz display and the actually decent chipset that's on 6nm tech, not 12nm are just mind-blowing and show us that phones don't need to be expensive to do their job properly. Ads? As we saw, you can get rid of them
ok ur using hyperbole and stating the obvious, but yuh
still shots look OK, the video has terrible judder that I would consider unusable even in a basic sense.
Might get this just to use around the house for watching YT and movies and unload some wear and tear off my main phone.
here in italy, there's only one phone i've managed to find new for 40€, a Zte blade l9, with 1gb ram and 32gb storage.
I'm amazed at unlocks after only 60 days. Previously those kinds of phones used to take at least 6 months to 12 months on the dedicated carrier they were assigned to.
Why am I the only one who's broken a bunch of phones in a short period of time than has no choice but to get the cheapest phone available???
stop dropping shit homie. and if you know that happens, surely you could have gotten a case and screen protector.
Does anyone know if you can use the phone with wifi only? I don't plan on putting service or care about carrier unlock
Mine failed after 8 months of light use.
Does anyone know if it allows you to OEM unlock and install custom software?
If the phone unlocks on day 61 would that mean you need three months of service since two days of service only equals 60 days?
nah just 2 month of it being active and then next month it unlocks
I have a verizon g play 2023 it won't let me set up to use wifi only unless I put a active Sim card in it.
40$ for a gym phone! Not bad. Especially with the headphone jack! Huge selling point
03:20 can you remove that or disable with ADB? and all of the unwanted apps as well...
If it had 6GB of real RAM, I'd be inclined to switch. I've used Motorola phones with 4GB RAM for too long, it doesn't work well long-term.
it'd not even 40$, get a higher end one then
4 GB of RAM was still ok until 2021, but that's where it ended
@jayjayare The cost difference is so low. This lineup of photo (Moto G 5G) had 6-8GB RAM in 2020. Why did they go backwards? To encourage people to spend more.
Bro as a graphic illustrator 4is fine no cap... Buy 6 and you be earning millions w/art
@CoolCrescent186
It was also more expensive than thr current Moto G.
Motorola has plenty of $90-150 budget phones with better specs.
5:37 Grill reveal? 🎉
How do you stop the endless shtty game apps it keeps auto installing??
Cant beat the battery life in Motorola phones
How can you switch a locked phone to a lower cost provider plan?
The wallpaper is disturbing me 😂😭
Curious if i can use the phone with the dji fly app.
The boxes are sealed that way because trashy people like to steal things and the longer it takes for them to open the more likely it is that they'll get caught.
There's not even any value to stealing these types of phones from Walmart is there? Lol
So I can buy this phone and use it WITHOUT any plan as an internet only device and run apps on it?
I am a HUD trained volunteer home retention counselor and I am amazed at what family's who are facing foreclosure pay monthly for their phones and phone plan. Of course, many of these families have had huge changes in their income for numerous reasons but that's no excuse for not living on a budget. This phone, this video, will be added to my course requirements. Car & Food expenditures are my #1 & #2 " attention " getters at the beginning of my counseling when we are building a monthly budget but I certainly will include phone/phone-plan expense w' this phone/phone-plan as cost basis.
Hi! What kind of phone plan do you recommend for someone with a low budget?
@stevedean3097Page Plus is what I have used for more than a decade. No problems at all. 29.99. I think there are cheaper ones...Page Plus really runs off Verizon
I believe that. I had a friend who used to take out a personal loan to get her and her daughter the newest iPhone....and then she whined about not having money to go eat at a buffet. I don't get it. But then my phone is a tool...it isn't my life. If I had MY way I would be using a pager and pay phones but...no more pay phones now....I actually use my smart phone more at home than out in the wild. Everyone is different
@stevedean3097Mint Mobile if you have an unlocked phone. Best Buy has the one week trial SIM for a few dollars. You can test it before you commit
Motorola hasn't made that component for over a decade
How is the Bluetooth connectivity? I need a used or cheap new phone to run a Bluetooth app in my vehicle only.
Very impressed for the price. Even more impressed it was capable of running a shooter game.
For 40$ USD... it's a steal for anyone who just needs a simple phone.
The Vegan Leather Laugh .....Killed Me lmao
I just bought a Samsung A15 for $59 at WalMart for TRACFONE last week.
I'm watching this on this exact phone.
More than sufficient for a backup/emergency smartphone. Charge it, turn it off, and throw it in your backpack so you can always have it with you.
Yes but can I run a GPS on it?
On wifi only without a mint mobile plan?
4:50 MUTE THIS PART OF THE VIDEO THIS IS YOUR WARNING😂⚠️
Can't help but wonder what the best VOIP app might be for that...or for any Motorola phone...
That's why I don't understand why people need a $1000 flagship phone. People going into debt to live like the Jones is insane
Why are you worried about what other people buy do you realize who pays most of the taxes in this country?
@piggy310Who's worried? The video was about a cheap capable phone to show that 1000 phones aren't really necessary. That wAs the point.
@markwilliams6378 People buy flagship phones the same way you would buy a luxury car. Its their money at the end at the day.
Can I use this phone for WIFI and Apps only w/o a service plan? US Cellular will lock you out once you power on unless. you activate with a plan rendering the phone useless unless you signup on a plan.
For clear calls and text with high resolution, great battery, and crystalclear sound. Great for the price 👍
720p not high resolution. It looks fine but not good. if you don't have great vision up close, then it doesn't matter to you 😂
Being a senior citizen that is my kind of phone pretty much need a phone to be a phone.. thanks for the video.
“Game that you only play for 26 seconds and then have to watch two minutes of ads “
😂😂 this is why i love this channel 🎉 man i miss the old days where games like temple run and subway surfers just worked no ads now a days games sometimes ask you if you want to watch an ad to get a certain thing unlocked or coins and even if you say no, they proceed with the ad 😒
Since this phone works on ( CDMA ) network then after the 60 days when the phone gets unlocked then will it work on ( GSM ) network ?????
As someone who used to daily a 20 dollar tracphone from 2018, i can confirm the quality of the cameras is surprisingly good as long as you have full sunlight
So if you use your phone as a phone this is pretty good then?
3 times the cameras of the iPhone Air, at 1/25th the price.
And 120hz refresh rate, which up until very recently, iPhones didn't have.
@GeeEee75True, it's crazy that till last year's base iphone it had a 60hz display.
Dude i am trying to watch your video at work the shoe bill cut REALLY?
i had some gift cards for Walmart so i only paid 15$ for it . i bought a phone game pad from ali express and use it as a portable emulator for Dreamcast and ps1 . works great
So at 3:22 you are saying you can't deselect the two toggles? Does it gray out the 'Accept and Continue" button?
Great video
does it have a real GPS attena in it rather than using cell towers for location?
If so, anyone in the thread used it and is it decent?
8:20 -Tracfone- Verizon Value brand phones typically come with the SIM preinstalled. You have to use their service for at least 60 days before it unlocks.
Can I use the phone on another Verizon 3rd party network out of the box? I broke my pixel and have a loaner iPhone, I need to go back to android asap
Dimensity 63000 isn't that bad tbh, It's a bit faster than Helio G99,def can do some stuff
I never understood why people bought cases for cheap phones
I need a disposable RUclips/podcast listening device....this is PERFECT
How dare RUclips hide this for me for 4 minutes
idk
@BlueWoif007what do you mean you don't know?
أنانثا.ر.كريشنا brb
How dare RUclips hide this from me for 4 hours
If you tap under the small camera on the back of the phone it will take you to the home screen and it's called quick launch
I am watching this video with this phone 😂 Except it is the 128gb version, got it from cricket wireless for $50. It is a pretty sick deal
we dont have a phone like this over here. Sounds mostly perfect as a senior or kids phone.
im an hr late damn :( motorola is a daily driver of mine its my music player, holds all my music needs especially with a micro SD card. it saves me space on my main driver because no spotify downloads, my motorola that ive had for a few years (the g play 2023) lasts a long time on one charge, sure its just used for music so its lightweight but it lasts longer then my s22.
edit: my g play is currently at 78% last charge was Tuesday, when i brought it to the gym with me on friday it said 88% its only gone down 10% in 2 days. Im just explaining my experience with motorola and before my S22 the G play 2023 was my main phone. so ive used it for way longer then my current main driver (work, personal use, phone calling, SMS). sure it could be better but Motorla is a pretty good brand IMO ofc.
just got this phone last week I tried putting my old phones sim card in it and it won't read the old sim card? Any suggestions???
This phone has a 120hz display? Thats crazy for the price. Theres a $29 version too that has a 90hz display. They would probably make a good emulator.
That's what I am thinking.
