Yeah, Brock was a wake up call to me too! I realized like you and your friend that level 10-11 was way too low. To beat him I had to evolve Tanemon to Palmon and that was at level 15. When they say this was a bit harder than normal Fire Red...They weren't kidding.
Fun fact: the game's data only contains one Pokemon Center interior, and it uses this one map for all the Pokemon center of most towns. Entering from the outside will set a flag that determines where to return you when you exit as well as all the NPCs inside. That's why you and Arturo quantum leaped into the same Pokemon Center at 13:28 lol
@@CasualCooper as for the other two Golemon becomes Machinedramon and Demidevimon’s natural evolution ending is Piedmon you will need a black Digi egg for Budmon to lead to the Puppetmon evolution line
Yeah I freaking got bodied by Brock so I went on a crazy grinding spree and got my entire team up to level 18 also having and electric type in my tentomon made Kudomon easier
Okay so I know I'm watching late & it was recorded a while ago, but Cooper should evolve Swish into a Betamon which eventually becomes a MarineDevimon, which is my favorite Devimon variant!
Time to "Grind" off screen, lol. Glad you guys at least made it to the one city, but I hope eventually, Coop, you nickname your other two Monsters once you reach Lavender Town, as that is plenty of time to think of a name for them. Here is to the next episode though.
Started up the playthrough this morning, and decided, "You know what? Since I've never actually used the numerous grass type digimon because I normally just use Tanemon, let's do a grass monotype." So now I have a Palmon (not looking forward to Ponchomon...) a Budmon, a Nyokimon, and four Yuramon in the PC for the egg digivolutions. I think there's Dartirimon in Mt.Moon, but other than that, I don't remember where the other grass types are.
Yeah Nova Red was Guiz' first run and his preferences show. Level spikes in boss fights, no good grinding spots, and best of all he removed EXP Share, so have fun switch training any new weak catches. Or do large amounts of offscreen 'training'. The only way to boost Exp is stealing a Lucky Egg from a wild mon that can appear in Pokemon Tower. As always, check the dex in case something can evolve with a stone, which some stone evos are better than leveling in this, and try your best to survive.
@@CasualCooper 30%/60%/10% (potions/digiballs/save up fore later use) example. 10 potions/10 to 20 digiballs in bag at the begining. if you haw 10 or 20 potion after gym ore road, you don´t nead to get more. When stores starts to sell sronger potions same thing, 10 to 20 potions in bag. And after you get Amulet coin, give it to the Digimon whu is first. Amulet coin increases the amount of mony you get. But only if the Digimon who has the Amulet coin was used in the battle against trayners. Use potions mostly wehen you battle trayners ore before the battle. I know how hard it is to spend mony between potions and digi balls, sins my first pokemon game was pokemon yellow on gameboy in year 2000.

Oh yeah. We were not ready.
You are still a truly outstanding person
Thank you so much for the kind words

That is so interesting.
@@CasualCooper Those GBA games man. The devs did anything to save space.
Kudamons mega uses ice witch explains the powers snow.
Yuramon can become Puppetmon eventually
Luckily I do realize that after he checks his pokedex

I think if you talk to mom once get pokeballs get running shoes
Nah, you get running shoes from Oak's aide after beating Brock on the east side of town.
This is correct

Brock was so strong. It was wild

Marine devimon is sick as hell. They were really cool in Digimon world 4

If they don't have a nickname then they got a good chance of not being on the team
@@CasualCooper In honesty, I forgot that part, lol. Glad you are getting Seadramon again though.
Nah grind on screen
Man you both have two wipes that's gotta hurt though next episode rival battle first round
Brock is no joke

We are real excited to beat Brock and once we do we will fight each other
use potions both of you!!
We have no money

haha. No potions. Though I know arturo likes to buy them so he probably will.
Cooper have you thought about playing the Digimon world 2 alternative mod? Adds in Digimon, new bosses, and dungeons.
Maybe
If you had potions, you could have used Swish to heal Tanemon and won the fight
I would need a super potion.
I tell you to evolve your starters to have a chance that how I won that battle
