Because it wasn’t permanent dye. She’d have to bleach it to almost white to get the color to stick at all. I used to use a similar product to cover my white streaks and it still only lasted through a couple washes because it wasn’t permanent dye.

your roots at the beginning look like my natural color! they always make me crazy because i feel like they clash with a lot of colors. and if i want to dye my hair darker, the roots will be lighter than the bleached ends 🥲

@@haleyboston I came out of high-school with a diploma and a cosmetology license. Didn't pay a dime. Some states will let you do vocational school through your high-school if you're not "college bound"... Every state SHOULD do this for the kids who want to learn a trade.

Dude. The lunar tides magic oracle (their dark green) is bomb. I put it directly over a level 9 orange permanent color that i thought i would like and ended up not being my vibe and it covered like a black root and is fading great (my goal is green tho). Would totally recommend their dark line if youre looking to cover those roots til youre ready to bleach!
This happened to me not too long ago. I had brassy roots try to dye my hair, purple, my favorite color my hair was raisin at the roots and. Bright purple on the ends, went to go bleach, my hair, a couple of months later listen to the woman at Sally's. She gave me a toner that was way too dark and silver, and messed up my new blonde hair, and had to put a very dark, almost black purple on the top of it to cover up the very dark toner complete disaster😢 also used guy tang's. Collagen powder very effective.
You should definitely try Malibu DDL XL it’s a direct dye lifter you can mix with developer or water, I’ve used it on a few clients and myself and it’s amazing! Mix with water to get blue and green out and back to an even blonde tone! I was able to get my hair back to a level 9 blonde from dark blue and green

I don’t know if you can get in the US, but the Estel color off is an amazing color remover it has developer,but it took red, black, blue, green out of my hair in minutes.

And many times I've tried to "fix" my hot roots with another color and I usually end up making it worse. 😄 Dont worry about it you're still beautiful.

your roots are the color of my natural hair almost. (Mines slightly lighter) so I would do a deep violet root. When my hair grows out it usually tones it to a neutral blonde. And yours will stick better because the cuticle is lifted where mines virgin. I think it’s cute tho

I use his magenta color all the time! I mix it with lanza Magenta. Love them

Try artic fox black diluted with a bit of conditioner for your roots. I think it would help blend it in! Good luck:)

I think you'll have to go over those roots with semi-permanent black... then you can keep the grey if you want.

Guy tangs dyes only really work on pre bleached hair so that's why nothing happened to the roots
