The reason the is to prevent feather pecking and cannibalism because we grow them in massive groups to fulfill American apatite that they get stressed out and peck and kill each other. Cutting their beaks 1/2 way ensures they don’t kill each other. So if you don’t like this and you’re not a vegetarian/vegan or if you don’t raise your own meat chickens, you’re a hypocrite.

They literally create the environment that causes the birds to do this to each other and then instead of fixing the environment so they won't injure one another they cut off their beaks instead. It's wrong.
