- My "Yellow Nape Amazon" Parrot "Buddy" showing off for the camera!!
(Yes, he's repetative with his words/actions and it gets mellow at the end, but he says a couple cute things that I thought you'd all enjoy hearing in addition to his posturing where he shows everyone he's a "Big Bird" by spreading his wings. I'll be making a shorter, edited version sometime in the future, but wanted to share this right away for anyone who would want to see it all).

Buddy looks just like my Barney, my birdy boy is a double yellow amazon parrot and we watch Buddy together! I love when he goes aaahhh haaaaa, that had my parents and I laughing so hard! Buddy is awesome! Please make more videos.

Mine too,well his nickname. We lost him to brain cancer 5 yrs ago and i miss him every day.
My parents had one of these yellow napped Amazon. The name we gave it was Sylvester although I have little knowledge to the sex of the bird.
A very chatty and talkative parrot.
One day he flew out of our backyard and my dad freaked out.
My dad was frantic and asked some construction workers if they had seen a green parrot.
They asked my dad if the parrot talked and when he said yes they told my dad that they would tell him he was looking for him.
My dad was pissed.
We found him minutes later!
Now thats funny!
That bird has a lot of vocabulary and speaks very well how did you get him to do that so well what's your secret
"I'm a monkey bird" - I say that to my bird too - and a lot of what you say to Buddy I say to mine. We bird owners talk the same language lol.

It's not too long. But if you ALSO make an ADDDITIONAL version, then please one without Buddy SCREAMING - so one can hear it late night (to relax and prepare for sleep) without risk of disturbing the neighbours!!!

Lisa, Buddy is a "Yellow Nape Amazon" Exotic/Tropical bird.. A lovable, loving, hand full, pain in the tush, at times.. Yet, so personable. And too intelligent for their own good! Just like my 23 year old "Umbrella Cockatoo" Gracie Jo/Grace 😌😊

I have a bird rescue/sanctuary in my hone. Every bird in the house loves this video. From budgies,to quakers,conures ,cockatiels,amazons and macaws ,they all go nuts when its on. Lol Some have picked up new words and sounds. My 2 amazons are quite as talkative as Buddy but theyre still hilarious. Thank you for sharing him with us.

When it’s time to sleep, the bird goes in it’s cage and a blanket goes on top of the cage, making it real dark. When it is dark, birds usually sleep... 😊
