This is funny because my first asmr experience was one of my friends going through my pencil case and softly asking if it was okay and I was basically paralyzed lmao.

Yes!! One of my first triggers as a kid. So good, thank you for this! It reminded me of a time when I spent the night at a friends house and she had to wake up earlier than me and I pretended to still be asleep while she got ready but was really just listening to her dig through her makeup bag! Haha! Back when asmr didn't have a name and I just thought I was odd.

My first "tingly" experience was in kindergarten. I've always had really long and thick hair so everyone, even the teacher would play with it. I loved that and still do. Another one was when my best friend once made some sort of "purring" sound right into my ear. It relaxed me so much. Even back scratches work amazing on me. Sounds are somehow less effective

I'm not sure what the purpose of this activity was but there was a few times in class when we were supposed to write something on another person's back and they had to try and guess what we were writing and the feeling of that on my back gave me the most amazing tingles haha

A big childhood ASMR trigger for me was in elementary school, we had those oversized children's pencils in a plastic cup that the teacher would pass around. Each kid would take a pencil out of the cup and that sound was soo relaxing. I would love a video where that is a feature. It doesn't exist anywhere yet that I have found. Thanks!

I think my first asmr experience was watching this girl draw and then trace my hand, I kept wanting her to trace it again cause I loved how it felt haha. Also, I've always always always gotten asmr from watching people do things that they're concentrating a lot on, like drawing or something.:)

I think the first time i ASMRed was during a hair cut when I was young. To this day if my head is touched I doze off almost instantly. Kind of seems unsafe now that I think about it... I had plenty of other random triggers as well. I just remember about 2 years ago listening to a progressive relaxation video and coming across my first asmr video so I looked it up and I was like "There are others like me!" Lol. Excitement through the roof.

Thanks to Mrs Alan and Mrs Cahill reading questions close to my ears in examinations, and tracing their fingers along the words in the questions, and some help from WhisperCrystal's whisper stories, I've finally discovered ASMR. Man this took too good damn long.

My first childhood ASMR experience was when I was in basketball and I was wearing a uniform jersey. One of my friends was bored while we were prepping for a game and she started to trace my number and my last name on my back. Extreme tingles. Also, I had super long hair as a five year old and whenever I would sit on the carpet with the other kids during school, the other girls would play and braid my hair and I loved it and still do. Now that I think of it, I've had so many early ASMR experiences!

just a suggestion but should've had only used 60% capacity of of the pencil case allowing room for the stuff to move and thus more sounds. also put a pencil sharpener and some pencils, that way the sounds are more specific to a pencil case, if i listen to this before being told its a pencil case i'd probably just think its a generic bag by sound :)

Here in the states a fountain pen is not common. There are people in the states who like them, but it is more of a hobby to them. Most people don't know what they are. We use pencils and ballpoints/biro.

In Australia too! I love fountain pens but you can't buy them from any normal shop, they're like a luxury item
