Great vid! 😀👌 I think you're spot on, 12" might be more appropriate here. But other than Squier... I think Jet are the only company that are doing "affordable" "F types" with 9.5" boards.
That's why Jet is my new favourite - I hope they never change this 😀🤞 Also agree Re doing some mods. I did a stupid amount of mods to my Jet JS400 - way more than the guitar cost 🙈
But - I would do it again 😐 It's well worth it

Looks really nice apart from the fretboard radius, which is nuts. Why build a guitar for speed and then hobble it for super low action and wide bends?
Roasted maple is a must for me now. I don't know why it feels different but, to me, it just does. The Wilkinson hardware is fine. These units have steel parts where a lot of the licensed ones have cheaper alloys. I think the block is zinc but so what? Easy to swap out.
I still rate the HB Fusion III higher though. 24 stainless steel frets and a genuine Floyd 1000 on the double locking trem models. My own 25th anniversary has the Wilkinson two-point with the locking saddles, locking machine heads and Tusq nut. It also came with a great gig bag, so maybe Jet just has a tiny bit of catching up still to do.

I was close to get this one... as been a ..single humbucker + double locking trem + minimum electronics hot road freak myself ... and she's the best vallue for the market !
But after your video... i'am very close to press the button !
Seems like the guitar that will take me to the place i need for my ...80s inspired ...guitar and synth ...sci-fi...cyberpunk music !

I got the JS-850 half a year ago (very close to the JS-700 but with upgraded specs) and it's become my main guitar for quick playing sessions.
Be aware that the necks vary quite a bit and the neck color can be a lot lighter than the one you see in the video (mine looks only slightly roasted).
Anyways I agree this is an absolute bang for the buck and a real alternative to established low budget brands.
If they release some more exotic models in this quality, I'd be hard pressed to not get one.

Great demo. Thank you. I have a JS1000 and so far I have 3 demos of different styles on my channels. I doo like the sounds you are getting from this. I don't know how Flight make guitars of this quality and affordability. Subscribed to you today. Peter.

Got mine and the neck and the body are the stars of the show. The Wilkinson hardware is questionable at best. The string tension bar screws hit both E strings making tuning a fun time. The roasted maple neck is the softest I’ve felt.. I can and did dent the back of the headstock with my fingernail. The pick up is “acceptable “ in humbucker mode, but IMO pretty damn useless in split mode, MASSIVE volume drop. Get one cheap and gut it and rebuild with quality parts. I’d spend a little more and get another the SBS showroom and be happy

Thx for the Review! I'm seriously considering this one. Back in 88' I got a Charvel Model 5FX for $550 with a Case! Still own it! But that Jet is nice! That or EVH, but the Jet a a few Quid Less for sure. Be Well my friend! Ps, My 5Fx Charvel is a 12~16 Compound Radius JT6 Trem, Poplar Wings with a Solid Neck through Maple, Brazilian Rosewood,Guitar was Japan, Trem is Taiwan. Trus Pearl inlays. Will Never sell it!

Tbh I would pick a HB Fusion III over a Jet JS-700. Better specs and (for me) better playing neck. Also less expensive (might be different in the UK.) Regarding Wilkinson hardware: I love it. Can't go wrong with Wilkinson. My go to manufacturer for everything I upgrade in the affordable range. Just be sure to get the korean stuff, the chinese (m Series) has QC issues from time to time.
A comparison to Charvel or Schecter is a bit difficult. Schecter, even with the more affordable Omen line never fail to build guitars that totally amaze me (not so long ago the Omen 6 Extreme could was about 400 Euro (now about 600) and this thing is better than even the top of the line Jets, which even cost more than the Omen 6 Extreme now. I've even seen a Sun Valley Super Shredder for 700 Euros new. That's a total differnet animal (at a huge discount, but it is possible). Charvel is a bit different. You get the cheapest ones at around 800-900 Euros, those are really great guitars. If you want a budget Charvel basically buy a Jackson JS32 or JS22. Still less expensive than the Jet JS-700 and at least on par. Both Schecter and Charvel/Jackson outshine Jet as METAL-Superstrats because the necks (at least for me) are much faster and better/more comfortable to play.

Yeah, I agree that the HB Fusions still have the edge on features. I've no idea if the necks play better as I've never had hands on the Jet, but a 9.5 radius doesn't work for me.

In my recent experience, it wouldn't be hard to rival Schecter. I bought a $900 USD Schecter Sunset-6 Extreme and it was trash; awful fit and finish for the price. I ended up returning it.

I bought a Schecter recently. It was a bolt on and it was acting kind of funny so I took a closer look at the neck joint and it turned out that the neck wasn’t fully bolted on tight so the neck was actually moving slightly. I could actually put a business card all the way through the joint. That never should have passed QC and pretty much ensures I’ll never by another Schecter

Does the neck smell roasted? I thought about it and Maple Syrup comes from maple trees and smells sweet who heated. So many companies have faux baking process and none smell sweet.

Seems super good. Buut I'd want a neck pickup and tone control. They don't seem to have more than one model offering that. Aaand I didn't like the color of that one. Your looked way better.
The red one just like you have with two humbuckers and tone control I'd buy any day.
