- When temperatures hit nearly 22C in parts of England earlier this month, people might have thought that spring had finally sprung.
But with May fast approaching, temperatures have suddenly dropped, forcing some back into their winter coats and others to switch the heating on once again.

Read the links provided which explain everything. Some are from the UK's .Gov, there is one from Canada. It's official, its happening. They hope to save the planet and cut co2 apparently. We keep getting told its global warming, that our temperature is the warmest this April more then any other time. I guess thats why its so cold, wet, grey and miserable. Basically just like I seen 10, 20 ,30, 40 years ago for this time of year.

And if you'd listened to the scientists instead of corrupt politicians or conspiracy theorists, you'd understand why global warming can lead to colder temperatures in certain regions at certain times. April is the topsy turvy month. I remember back in 2007 or 2008 April we had heavy snowfall, thunder and lightning then when the sun came out the snow melted within the hour and some roads flooded.
That was a crazy time.
Years ago, with an April Easter, I spent that long weekend fitting seats at Edgbaston Cricket Club. We were brushing snow off the terraces all weekend.
My dad always reminds me of the time “snow stopped play” at Trent bridge in July. Welcome to England!

I certainly hasn't warmed in south Wales, so far, this year. Definitely no 22C for us. Lots of cold rain, well it is Wales, and frosts on clear nights. Roll on summer. However, lets face it, UK summers are usually an afternoon experience, compared to the continent.

In the summer of 1976 we were told save water its running out , now it doesn't stop raining .The truth is we have water shortages because we dont build enough reservoirs and these weather patterns have been happening since time began !

I was wondering if those Criss Cross lines / trails from planes all over the sky above my house most days have anything to do with it ? We're not even on a flight path so didn't see many planes ... I spoke to my daughter (who lives in Thailand) earlier today. It was 42 degrees Celsius there. So I now prefer the slightly colder weather at our latitudes.
In Thailand, I'm sure they don't have Double walled brick houses with insulation in between, double glazed windows and slate roofs with thick loft insulation.

The Guardian has a headline today about the pollution in out rivers, etc and the massive massive amounts of dividends paid to shareholders of water companies. Then of course there is the pay to the many executives and their PA's and secretaries, and their "experts".

I'm in the West Midlands and there was a few sunny days that I opened the windows to my van as ot was getting warm but today it was a bit cooler so I turn on the diesel heater for a bit.

I think this weather is unusual though, in that we are getting very cold winds and very hot sun at the same time, it doesn't feel natural.

Global Warming is what uninformed people have always called it. Science has always referred to it as Climate Change which means extremes at both ends of temperature and extremes in weather events which is exactly what we’re seeing.
